$99 HP Touchpad

I looked in one of my browsers and saw the link from yesterday.. my cart popped up.. with three $99 ones in there I changed it to one for my sister.. and sent her the link. She didn't try it yet, but I also sent it to a friend.. she lives in England.. she got on it 1,2,3.. hit submit, entered her info and is now waiting her confirmation email on 1-16G from the official HP small business site... She had no problems at all getting thru.. no refreshing or anything.. I tried for my sister and could not do it.. that was why I sent her the link ..

call your local store.. the ad's are printed in advance.. this announcement came out after the ad's were printed.. you are talking about hard copied ad's right? There is no harm in asking them...

I got 4 32GB and 2 16GB.. never actually put them in the same cart either.. but they all showed up that way... I just kept trying to get something in there..

Thanks -- after three tries I got that screen to load and it looks like it went through! It's telling me I ordered it in the future, though order time is 5:24 pm today. I think I was only able to get it (the 16gb version), not on back order, because it was in my cart since last night.

You need to check the Line Detail to see if it is back ordered (I think that is what it is called. I placed my order last night around 7pm EST. The order site had min Processing the entire night then I got a confirmation email in the morning. It was still Processing on the Order Status site. About noon today the Order Status changed to an entirely different looking page tha had a few places to click. One of those was tracking which when I click that nothing shows up. Another was Line Detail. The line detail shows that it is back ordered.

I am not concerned about the BO. I feel good that it will still arrive, be it a week late but from what I hear they have more coming. They have been saying that for almost 24hrs now.

I'm glad I could unleash hours of frustrating refreshing for the disboards community.

As it looks like the final 32GB tablet finally got sold, your next best bet is to visit a Walmart or Radio Shack in a very small town. As HP receives new inventory from re-sellers who returned it (Amazon being one of the larger ones who didn't sell the tablets), the HP home site may have them pop up on sale now and then for an hour or two over the next few days. Although I imagine most new inventory will go to cover the sales they had this weekend.

Now the long wait begins for someone to have their tablet move into the shipping state. (Who didn't buy it from Best Buy this morning)

I couldn't get the 16G in my cart. So today I tried to get the 32G. I was finally able to get it in my cart but it wouldn't let me check out and now it is gone from my cart. Oh well. I guess I should add "official member of the I can't get a HP touchpad" to my signature.

Very interesting. If the 16GB did go through then good, and I can give that one to dd for her birthday next Sunday instead. We were thinking Christmas,but we will see.

Hopefully, we will get an email confirmation soon from HP. Again, BB went through with no problems.

i got a confirmation page but it says ordering by credit worksheet in the top corner when i printed it. i do not know what that means but before this went through when i called she said they were out and that they would email me when they become available and to call asap, so im assuming they are getting more but hoping this order confirmation is true

I went back on the site and found that I have a cart with 3 tablets in it.

Needless to say, it won't take me to checkout.
