I bet they won't take off the shipping.. that must have been there before they dropped the price.. if we weren't to be charged shipping, they would not have placed it there. Also, if you ordered thru "small buisness" you will be charges since the free shipping was for the "home & home office" section of HP.. it states it in the fine print...

I have two orders. One order came up with shipping - one didn't. Both were through small and medium business.

I just checked my order status on the barnes and noble sight as well, and it says that the expected ship date will be 8/24/11. Is this a good sign? Did anyone elses have the expected ship date and then receive the cancellation email?

Yes, my order said that all day, I got my cancellation email a little while ago.

I tried ordering one from B&N today...

It says my order has been received and set to ship on 8/24. I am hoping it doesn't get cancelled on me!

Mine said that too but I just got the..."Dear valued customer, so sorry" e-mail. I'm on 2 other forums and NO ONE has gotten a shipped e-mail from B&N. I think they pulled the stock and sent them back to HP and HP is selling them to the public. I know several of the Best Buys did that as well. I'm still waiting on a shipping e-mail from On Sale. My charge is still pending in my account.

Well, it's not sounding to great then on the barnes and noble order. I sure hope my best buy one goes through
I haven't received an email from Barnes and Noble yet, so we will see. But by the stories it is not sounding good

Expected Ship Date: August 24, 2011

My credit card shows a pending amount of $115xx

I am hoping that this means I will be receiving my Touchpad

Has anyone else been given an expected ship date?

I have one that says expected ship date August 24th also. But it sound like other on the board had that and it was still cancelled.

Where exactly does it state that? Would it be in the spot that used to say "Admin"? That's what mine still says, yet shipping date is listed as today with delivery date of the 24th. (2day shipping)

Nope, not yet. Rumors are floating around that they're going to cancel all the orders- really hoping this isn't true. Mine still says "shipping soon" when i check my order status. And I also would be interested in buying one from someone if they have any extras. Thanks!

Maybe but I bought 2 through the small business section and it still offered free shipping. I chose 2 day just in case they decide to cancel the free shipping orders 1st. Who knows what criteria they use to ship vs cancel? We'd like to think it's 1st come, 1st served, but businesses can be scummy.

Hi,

I was curious how you went about emailing your Walmart store?

I emailed because I too have difficulty getting them to price match. I have called and talked with a store manager but they claim to know nothing about the cheaper pricing. I bought one of the Touchpad's the night before they went on sale (knowing they would), hoping to get the money back the next day.

Any ideas?

I ordered a 32 GB from Best Buy yesterday morning. When I go to the BB website, the order status is still "In Process". There is a "pending" charge on my credit card. Is anyone else's still showing up like this?

I ordered two 32G TouchPads on Sunday and received a confirmation on 8/21/2011 at 1:45 PM PST - The order shows an order time of 3.45 so assuming their computer is on Central Time Zone.

The Order shows the ship from Warehouse # IN

Does anyone know where HP fulfills their order from?

No, it can't hurt to ask. Their website took such a beating this weekend, it was messing up a lot. I don't think 1 day is enough to sort out so much activity. I hope they're all working some OT tonight!
