Dang it! I've also tried the places you listed with no luck. I ordered one through OnSale (Amazon) and I have a feeling it was canceled.

What gives you this 'feeling'? Have they contacted you? I ordered through them too. Haven't heard anything except the initial email.

I say keep your fingers crossed. This morning I received best buy email saying the item was back ordered for 2 weeks. Tonight I received an email saying it was shipped. So who knows lol I just hope it was shipped and I'll keep my fingers crossed until I actually receive it.

uuh ohhh.. I have had this link open all day checking status and update--- and I just refreshed and it says the page cannot be found. The link was on page 11 of this thread.

Link is not working because they finally decided to take site down to fix the glitch that let people order when there wasn't any inventory.

If you got 2 emails from HP and your credit card was charged, you more than likely are getting your touchpad. If you didn't get all 3 of those, you are on back order and more than likely won't be getting a touchpad. All new inventory arriving this week will go to HP home, not small business.

I got my order in around 1pm on August 21, then started the original post. I did not get the second email confirmation. So based on HP's twitter posting, it seems unlikely any of us will get a touchpad if ordered through small business.

No only 1 but they did bill my credit card. I'm assuming the 2nd email comes at the time of shipping.

You got yours on Saturday the 20th, didn't you? If you don't get yours, then probably none of us who ordered from HP have any hope, because we all got them later than you. (I only got the original confirmation screen, a charge on my credit card, and the 'don't worry you'll get your confirmation someday email. My status did change from needing approval to being sent to management, or however that was stated...that made me feel a little hopeful.)

That will make me sad if they get cancelled now, I was really starting to get excited about getting one. Especially since DS came home from his first day of 5th grade asking if he got 2 report cards of straight A's if he could get an ipad like so-and-so did. I said no, then he asked if he could save his money for one. I said sure, and told him how much it cost. He got all sad asking why 'everyone' at school has cell phones, ipads and ipod touches and he doesn't have anything. *sigh* I'll still keep my fingers crossed that they come through with some! (Or I can stalk the site for when the shipment for the home side comes available. LOL)

Yes you were right, Saturday the 20th. But I re-read all the tweets and may have jumped the doom and gloom a bit. The breakdown is this:

1. credit card charged
2. confirmation # (appeared as webpage only)
3. confirmation email with order status link

If you have all 3, your order will be fulfilled as inventory becomes available. The odds are decent you will get your order.

If you only have 1 and 2, you are back ordered and may get your order. The actual tweet said "up to you if you want to cancel, but worth a shot 2 hang in there".

There was a confusing post that mentioned a second confirmation email, but I think that was a typo. At least I hope so, since I got in before most everyone else on Saturday.

I am keeping my fingers crossed. My credit card still has a temporary hold from hp on it. I did get my confirmation email but have not gotten a shipping confirmation. I guess it is a waiting game now.

Just checked my email and I have a tracking # from Macmall.com! Ordered one from HP and B&N as well. Got cancellation email from B&N a few hours ago. Nothing other than the original confirmation email from HP yet. Originally only wanted one but hubby wants one now too so hoping the HP order goes through.

first off, I can't believe I found this thread on DisBoards. I searched via Yahoo for info on this sale and most replies/sites came up on Disboards, so I had to join, lol.

I originally got through on HP Small buisness on Sunday morning, I got (2) 32GB pads, I got a confirmation# but only got an email saying my order was received but not shipped. I called HP small buisness today and got a hold of someone after 2 hours and she said when my order is accepted, I will get another email.

In the mean time, I found out about ONSALE on Amazon and ordered 4(16GB) pads and 4(32GB) pads. Looks like those went through, I got emails with order numbers and shipment dates and my credit card company called to make sure no one stole my card, lol I confirmed no one stole it and confirmed the orders for the 8 touchpads. So, the Amazon order looks great, looks like I am backordered for HP small buisness though, and that is okay, I don't need 10 touch pads!!! If I get all that are ordered (10), I will post that here and offer them first come first serve at cost/shipping. I am not looking to "score" here, lol. I don't need 10 touchpads...........lol. Right now, I got 2 for my kids, 1 for a friend's kid, one for my brother. So, I would have 4 excess if all goes through, and perhaps 6 excess if HP small buisness panned out. please don't PM me, just go through here on the forum if you would be interested, remember, first come first serve (if it all pans out of course)
