9/9/07 Wonder 4-day

This is our first time to Disney World and a cruise! Actually my DH went with his parents when he was 19 but the only thing open was MK and Epcot and I beleive they stayed offsite.

As for booking Palo and excursions, I was able to get an 11:00 brunch and the 2:00 pm pedicure on the 9th as well as register all the kiddos for the lab/clubs.

Sooo excited. We are not only concerned with the weather but DFIL has brain cancer and we are praying it will not grow anymore than it has. He is in good hands. Now all we can do is pray.

Wow, sorry to hear about your FIL. That is really awful. I'll keep him in my paryers.

Glad to hear you got your reservations that you wanted! Are you guys going to do any excursions in port? I think we may do bikes on CC, but I think we'll wait to decide when we get there. We booked Blackbeards Cay for Nassau (I think that's what its called).

You guys must be SO excited!! Your first trip to DW AND your first cruise! I have a feeling you're going to love the Poly, and you'll probably be spoiled and never want to stay anywhere else! I'm worried we're going to get "hooked" on the monorail resorts and never want to go back to the other resorts, but the Poly every trip might get $$$!

We will be brunching at Palo at the same time. I finally got everything booked - car, precuise and postcruise hotels and flights. I am so excited!

Will keep your FIL in our prayers. Mine is having heart valve replacement in August. Please add him to yours.

Just paid for everything yesterday, but couldn't get Palo ressies. SOOOOOOOOOOO EXXXXXCITED!

:dance3: The "paid in full" dance! :dance3:

As for Palo, I've heard that only a few of the times are made available online, and that there are usually plently of spots to book when you board. So if you really want to eat there, check and see if anything is available as soon as you board.

We are so excited, too! I booked our night before the cruise at POFQ this morning...still hoping for a discount on that...then we'll catch the DCL bus Sunday morning! :woohoo: Can't wait!

BTW, how many of you have passports? I keep reading all sorts of different info about them, so I emailed DCL directly to ask if we need them for Sept, and the answer was "no". I know they're a good idea, but we're sort of splurging at the Poly after the cruise, so not getting them is money saved for us. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the butt! :rotfl:

HLAuburn,

Passports are not needed but we went ahead and did ours anyway just in case something happens.
I know what you mean by splurging we are staying at AKL after the cruise. Well, that is if we don't get bumped somewhere else.

Mustachspot,

Glad you paid it off! I know how good it feels! I bet you'll get Palo dinner once you get on board. Have you considered the brunch? I reserved brunch this morning and they had 10:30 and I believe 11:30 still open.

Has anyone packed yet? I am starting to put stuff in the suitcases. Yeah, I am a bit anxious.

HL Auburn-

We will be staying at POFQ after our cruise, we stayed in Riverside a couple of years ago and really liked the area.

We are also waiting for the kid passports, but I will not sweat it as long as we have the proof of application.

I'm a last minute packer so I probably won't start packing until the night before. That way I can build up my stress level:rotfl: and have a big release when I step on the ship.

Glad to hear good things about POFQ. I just called back and was able to apply the new code to the room, so we got a good deal.

I'm surprised how many of us are going to DW after the cruise. Are you all going to the MNSSHP, too? How are you getting from the cruise to the resort? Right now we have a town car booked since its about the same price as the DCL bus and I'm hoping it will be a little faster. Too bad we can't all go in on a super stretch limo and save some money! ;)

We haven't booked our transportation yet, but it will probably be a shuttle van, taking us from airport to port, then port to POFQ.

I have heard many things about the halloween party but not sure if it's worth it, what are your views?

We've never been, so I can't speak from experience, but it sounds like a lot of fun. I think your kids would really enjoy it, considering their ages, but since its a "hard ticket event", I'm sure it can get really expensive with a big family. I guess it depends on how "into" Halloween you are and if the kids like dressing up.

I booked our Palo & excursions. We're going to do the catamaran snorkeling trip in Nassau, the 4 in 1 at CC that has the bikes, snorkeling, float & Stingrays & dinner the 12th - which is our actual 25th anniversary. I've also booked a Exotic Rasul for the 12th - but I haven't decided if we're keeping that or not.

I don't know if I'm supposed to post here or the other thread that I haven't looked at yet - but here it goes.

I'll add you on! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you guys have everything all planned! And definitely go for the Rasul, especially since its your anniversary alone! If I didn't have a 3 year old with us, I'd do it, but I'd be thinking about her the whole time, and that tends to take away from the romance! :rotfl:

Just bumping us up!

Can't believe it is finally July!:cheer2: This month is going to go so s-l-o-w isn't it?

No, I think July will go fast. August will go s...l...o....w!:lmao:

Sorry to get back so late but I was on a much needed Mom's only vacation with my gal pals in Sunny San Diego where the temp didn't get above 75 degrees :cool1: Now, back to reality where we are supposed to be at 89 degrees on the 4th of July but that is ok because we will only have 2 months till we take off for Orlando!!!!

I thought about booking an excursion to Blackbeards Cay but then after reading the options on cruisecritic.com, I opted to just take the jitney to Wyndam and do the day pass for the five of us and spend the day lounging on the beach. Then we can take the jitney back to the ship when we are ready and not have to wait for the scheduled time on Blackbeard. I am thinking that after 5 days of running around the World, we will be sooo ready for the doing nothing mode. It was a tough decision because I do think the kiddos would like the stingrays but we will do that on another trip.

Tell me more about this day pass at the Wyndham in Nassau. That's all we really want to do - chill on the beach - so I'd be interested to hear some other options.

Thanks!

What is the transportation cost like? We stayed at that hotel on one trip to Nassau - before the renovation. It was about a 20 minute cab ride from downtown, if I remember correctly.

We haven't scheduled anything for the day in Nassau yet. This will be our
4th trip there so I'm not even sure we will leave the ship. Would like to do beach but a quiet pool sounds good too!:)
