Amlee: I'm soooo glad to hear this. I read the "TIPS" and felt really sad, since this was something I wanted to bring back to my granddaughter.

Thank you so much for calling and asking the all important question. I'm sure it makes everyone feel much better. Okay, one more thing to go get before we sail.

What kind of magic markers do you buy and include in the "pillowcase" package to the front desk? Are there certain kinds that work better than others?

Your welcome!! I love my pillow case and couldn't believe they weren't doing them anymore!!

What I did with mine was put them in a ziploc bag, with perminant markers. I put a note card on it with the cabin numbers, the childs name and favorite characters. This time around I'm doing an apron for my dad and a canvas tote for myself! :cool1:

When I got home from work today, there amongst all my eBay packages was a white plastic, bubble wrap-insulated envelope with a return address of Disney Cruise Line. I was hoping it was the much mentioned DOCs, but how could I be sure? I, too, tried ripping the parcel open with my bare hands and was met with no success and plenty of frustration.

I sat and I pondered, then I remembered, "I HAVE TO DO THE DOC DANCE!"

There's a reason I live alone, for anyone witnessing the strange hip gyrations and hand waving may have thought I was really in need of medical attention (not to mention psychiatric care), but I did the dance. Yes, fellow DISers, I did the dance. party:

Once again I tried to liberate the wondrous contents from their plastic prison. Once again I met with no success.

I sat and I pondered, then I remembered, "SOMEONE POSTED SOMETHING ABOUT SCISSORS!"

Furiously I scoured my dining room table (also known as the Black Hole of Pennsylvania- objects check in, but they don't check out), eyed the scissors, and carefully, carefully, to avoid cutting the material inside, but mostly to avoid having any accident that trip insurance might not cover, I snipped open the parcel.

Joy of joy, there they were. :woohoo:

Can you tell this is my 1st cruise?

Now I wonder if Buddy got his? I really worry about having to spend 17 days in a row with that man :lmao:

LOL it looks like ours all went out at the same time. :cool1:

I called DCL about the pillow case. I got a really GREAT CM named Bridget who, after explaining what we had heard put me on hold for about 15 minutes. While she CALLED the Wonder to make sure they were still doing the pillow cases. All is fine. They are still doing them as of today. She said to take them to guest services on the first day and you can pick them up on the last night.
 :cheer2:
Thank you so much Amlee! I am so relieved- I didn't think o add the note about their favorites...

Congrats to everyone dancin' with us today! :cool1:  :cool1:

DOC DANCE! DOC DANCE!!! :bounce:

They came today and guess what Leira, your worries about putting up with me for 17 days are completely unfounded as I HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO # 8530 !!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Don't panic Steph, I'm only kidding and teasing, as I am prone to do.

On a serious note, I think you are doing an absolutely fantastic job and we are all so appreciative. :moped: :moped:

Oooh, oooh, congratulations to everyone doing the DOC dance...now, don't slip or trip.....we want you dancing on the ship!!! :rotfl2:

Cheryl, believe me, John is getting just a little teary eyed, but he knows I've worked very hard all these years. Yup, he is a "prince of a guy"! I figure this will just be the prelude to us having to book another Disney Cruise for the two of us very soon!

I am so jealous of everyone doing the doc dance. Hopefully soon we will be joining in.

I just got done ironing a ton of dress clothes. Finally, I am getting things done.

We are very jealous, as well. No docs for us, yet.

Haven't even thought about packing yet, either. I do have our pirate costumes...well mine and DS's. I had ordered DH a jack sparrow one on the disney website and at first it was suppose to ship this past friday, no problem. Then i got an email stating it should ship around 9/8. Well..that does us no good. So, I need to find one for DH.

No docs here either...Disney told me they went out on the 17th...and would arrive on Tuesday...so...I expect them tomorrow!

Congrats to those doing the doc dance!!

We're dancin'...We're dancin' We're doin' the doc dance! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: Hopefully by tomorrow everyone will be dancing!

Too funny...I read DH your post because I thought it was hysterical. He said he did the doc dance while pulling the little white tab at the top of the package and it zipped right open...no scissors required...but you must be dancing as you pull the tab or it doesn't work!!!

:rotfl2: That was hillarious!! :rotfl2: Note to self: USE THE SCISSORS! We too have yet to receive docs.

Amlee, thanks for checking on the signatures. That was a very important tidbit for our little guys.

Steph, Thanks again for your organizing! We would like to attend the party. Just one more thing for your to do list. Sorry. We don't drink wine. Is there something else we can contribute?

Steve, I appreciated the pics. Believe it or not, that is the first time I have even seen a Mickey bar. I'm drooling like Pavlov's dog!!

Hey everyone, I remember a week or so ago some were wondering if we would hit 2000 posts. I am starting to think it might be 5000!! :rotfl:

Now I am not sure who to trust. Scissors or no scissors? That is the question. :teeth:
