Do you know when that policy became effective? We have had a pillowcase done on both of our cruises. The last one was last August/Sept 2005.

If they don't take them over the counter anymore I have a piece of cardboard packed to put inside the pillowcase for when it is signed. I will just have my dd take it on the autograph days to have it autographed that way! Then the kids don't miss out!

And for all those who didn't meet up at Disneyland, my husband is so sad he isn't going on the cruise. He thought everyone was so wonderful.

Documents arrived today!
We are in stateroom 7056- we reserved GTY - so we are happy!


My girls and I ran out today for a fish extender (thanks Amlee for the suggestion- we actually ended up at the dollar store with a kids' shoe organizer- very colorful - and some Mickey stickers to help decorate!) & gifts.. but I think I only have enough for 1 per stateroom, is that ok?

I am sure hoping they are still signing the pillowcases- I have 1 for each DD embroidered with Ariel (& b/c I am neurotic I have color coordinated sharpies for the characters to sign them with ). I would hope b/c it is a special 10 day cruise we can still have them signed.

Where are the pins being handed out- how much do they cost? I read it somewhere in the thread this am, but I forgot where it went...

Are we all meeting on the first day? Our flight only lands at 2pm- so I am not sure what time we could even make a meet on day one.

The pic's of the DL meet are great! I wish we lived closer- it looks like all of you had such a nice time!

I have started loading up a box today to ship on Wedenesday as well.. we are so close!

No more pillow cases! Noooooo!!!! I bought my pillow cases already and got the markers to write on them today. I am a kid, I want one! I could see that they limit the amount to the number of people in your stateroom, but just not to do it... grrr! I am going to try anyways and if not I will just have to try to get them signed in person. I am obsessed now!

Still no docs yet for me! I don't ahve a room assignment either so maybe they are waiting to send them until they pick us out a room.

Everyone looked like they had fun at Disneyland! I might go the weekend before we leave so I can compare WDW rides and DL rides with a fresh perspective. Plus one more trip to company D for last minute cruise wear!

Yes we are leaving tomorrow (actually we are leaving home tomorrow but not flying until Wednesday). This will be my last message until we get to the States - I will try to get on line in the first few days.

Everything is packed and ready, passports and tickets all checked, all the cases are weighed (with me on the weighing scales), the children are arguing, Helen is frantic, the dog is disturbed, the car is full of petrol, trading pins are all together, the gas is turned off, the shed is locked, sun-glasses and sun-tan lotion are crying out to be used, annual passes are to hand, the children are now fighting and I'm on the computer.

Actually whilst the rest of the house is in turmoil I'm reaxing, as I did a 15 hour day today to clear my desk for my deputy for the next four weeks. As my staff won't see me for that time they presented me with cards and gifts for my 40th on 1st of September so that was a nice way to go on holiday.

Great photos of Disneyland and the disers - we may visit there one day if I can put up with the 12 hour flight

Anyway, best wishes to everyone and just in case i don't manage to find a computer, we look forward to meeting everyone on the Wonder and spending 10 great days with all you fantastic people.

Several people are going to have trouble making the 3PM meet. The 11 day cruise is having a 3PM and a 4:30PM after the lifeboat drill. Any thoughts on a secondary meet for those who would like to meet everyone on the first day of the cruise? Alex

Your welcome. I still have to do mine. But I'm thinking I'll do the same as you, unless I can talk my mother in sewing me one! Slim to none on that one, but it's worth a shot to ask!

One per stateroom is what I'm doing as a big thing. I've hit upon a cool idea for the kiddies. So I'm going to be adding that. But the adults are only getting one thing.

I am certainly willing to add a 4:30 time. The 4:30 can be at the same place as the 3pm one....... I have no problem with a few of us hanging out there -- I know several of my group will be down in front of the band but, we all don't have to be down there.

My UPS man doesn't usually get here til between 5 ish and 6:30 is...but it doesn't look good as it is after 5pm

I know my cabin because Lisa got the documents in Canada...go figure!!

I am just taking a break from my costume making...what a pain...but so far the shirt is looking good, lol....

I too am looking forward to meeting everyone...it is such a relief to see so many Disney lovers! I am doing the tshirts for us...they aren't the DIS green though....

Like Heidi said, we got our docs on Friday. I sent our boxes UPS today and should arrive on 8-25-06.

I think that I will pass on the bus to Pineapple Beach. I don't think that we will stay that long. I will try and get an answer from one of the Disney Dudettes. Great idea though. We just typically don't stay all that long at a beach so I bet we won't there, too. I don't want to hold up the final headcount either.

I called DCL about the pillow case. I got a really GREAT CM named Bridget who, after explaining what we had heard put me on hold for about 15 minutes. While she CALLED the Wonder to make sure they were still doing the pillow cases. All is fine. They are still doing them as of today. She said to take them to guest services on the first day and you can pick them up on the last night.

Amlee: I'm soooo glad to hear this. I read the "TIPS" and felt really sad, since this was something I wanted to bring back to my granddaughter.

What kind of magic markers do you buy and include in the "pillowcase" package to the front desk? Are there certain kinds that work better than others?
