9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Part 2 - the Goombays just won't die....!

you do still have 16 months to go! i think only a small proportion of the cruise meets are really active, my first one wasn't, we only got to about 8 pages i think.

This further solidifies that we have to do a reunion cruise. I can't imagine being on a cruise meet thread without you girls. :grouphug:

got my room assignment!!!
its a cat 10 (missed the split bathroom last time so its great to have it back) on deck 2, its under the nightclubs though so mixed reviews on the noise.

but small world, my old assistant manager (she transferred to another disney store) is on the same cruise as us!

I wish I could book it now but I'm saving for this upcoming trip. Plus I have 3 concerts in the next month (all New Kids of course!), U2 in July, my high school reuion is also in July (haven't decided if I'm going), Kris's birthday in June. Too much stuff going on!!

At least you'll know someone on the cruise!

I have one next weekend, 1 the following weekend, and 1 June 18. I wasn't supposed to go to the second show but my friend had an extra ticket and offered it to me so...why not?

why not! they'll think they've got a stalker!

only 10? thought it'd been more than that?

i;ve just booked our hotel for the night before we cruise in barcelona. there's 4 other families from our meet thread staying there too, so we're going to charter a coach to take us to the port, it works out much cheaper than individual transfers, and the pre cruise meet up in the hotel bar is being organised as we speak!

and up to 18 so far in the FE  we've all kinda agreed to a may 23rd or 20 room limit, whichever comes soonest!

I thought it had been more than 10 times for NKOTB too!! :goodvibes

So, we're going to Disney in July now, for a quick Wednesday - Sunday trip. His parents are going to their house then for the first time (the people they bought it from are renting it from them right now until they move to their new house in NY)...so, I was like, why not??? I dont' know where we're staying yet, but it will be 2 nights in Disney and 2 nights at their house I think. AND the best part is we will be there on my Birthday!! So excited about that!! :cool1:

I made a couple of dining reservations, and was super surprised to get Le Celier for Dinner! Haven't eaten dinner there in a few years since it's always booked up!! My friend is going to make us reservations with her DVC points...we're hoping for maybe Animal Kingdom Concierge or Savannah...but anything will be fine really, I'm just excited to go!!

Karen, good luck with the room under the night clubs!! Our room on this last cruise was under Guest Relations, and there were kids running around like maniacs all day from around 7am until 10:30pm...if people could just watch their kids...

We were in room 2070. It was a great location, close to everything and super convenient for the shows at night and dinner, just loud during the day from being under Guest Relations. I suppose under the nightclubs would be the opposite...loud at night not in the day?

yeah, the reviews are mixed, some say its horrifically noisy, some say not too bad ?

Nope, 10. Jeez guys how bad do you think I am? :snooty:

Awesome news about the July trip, Mary! :woohoo:

I don't think I'd mind the room under Guest Relations because I'm hardly in my room during the day. But under the nightclubs...if it really is that bad and I was trying to sleep...I'd be super annoyed!

i'll see if its really that bad. if it is, i'll try and move rooms. i dont think the ship is full anyway

ok, so much for going on the cruise to get a break from work. due to the offer we got, turns out my manager and my ex assistnat manager are both going to be on the same cruise as us in 3 weeks. not sure if its a good thing or not...... ;)

out of curiosity, i looked at the previous thread we had, and i posted 1265 times in that thread!! :scared1:
how many did you all post?
