9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

hey you're much more organised than i was for my wedding! we got married at disney so i didnt have a huge hand in the planning of it all, and i was a bit too laid back about it in hindsight, there are a few things i would change if i did it all again, but hey, everything went well, we're still together, and its all cool.

why oh why do i ALWAYS get the cold/flu before i go on holiday? i've got a sore throat, bad headache and i'm really achey. nothing more serious thank goodness, plus its not helping that its gone really cold here today, its the first day in ages that i've got all the windows and doors closed, i've got a jumper and my furry slippers on! but i've just got back from taking cerby out so at least i dont have to go back out in the cold again!

No docs yet. It could be because my manager is out. She usually makes the rounds with mail. Everyone else is too lazy or busy to do it.

Karen, it's better to get a cold now than while you're on vacation! I usually get bronchitis when the summer weather changes to fall. I'm hoping that doesn't happen this year or at least holds off til after we're away. Actually, I'm positive I'll be sick after vacation because I'll be in 80-90 degree weather and come back to 60-70 degrees.

I think I pulled a muscle in my neck blow drying my hair this morning lol. It hurts!

Stacy, I got a PM from one of the girls whose PTR I read. She's going to be in WDW the same time as most of us and asked if I was buying a photopass cd. I told her about the share so she may PM you to see if there are any openings. Just a heads up so you weren't like 'what is this?' lol Her name is Staci too!

i cant get warm i've got the heating on, wearing a jumper, fury slippers and am sat under a blanket. all my bones ache

Karen I'm sorry you don't feel good the first time I stayed on site at disney I had the flu I was miserable
And I wouldn't wish being sick at disney on anyone so it sucks now but atleast u won't be sick at disney.
I am at home in bed with a bad headache and my legs are killing me my bruises are
Now that wonderful yellow color. I'm gonna test out the spray tan friday I will post a pic and I am hoping it covera or makes the bruises

i'm planning on taking advantage of loads of EMH this year, i've never done a full trip of staying onsite, i've always either done totally offsite, or half and half. plus this is my first time without a car.
how's everyone's week been/going? i've still got this cold/flu so i just havent got any energy at the mo

Hey!! I am at my sister's today, and she won tickets to the Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers game today. It was such a Dilemma for me, those our two of our biggest rivals, besides the White Sox. It was fun though, and our seats were only seven seats off the field!

My sister is trying out making a ton of martinis...this could get interesting!!

Are we keeping my reservation at 'Ohanas then, or your Karen? Just let me know if I need to cancel mine, I know it's a popular place and I hate to hold a ressie that someone else could use.

In three weeks, we will all be on the ship!!!!!

Pujols plays for the Cardinals, right? I was watching Shaq Vs. and he was on it. They did a homerun derby. Of course Pujols won. I'm not a big baseball fan but Joe loves it. I like going to games but I can't watch it on tv. It puts me to sleep lol. And I just assume they're all on steroids with everything that's been going on the past few years!

mary i think we'll keep yours, i've posted mine on the ADR trade post on the restaurants board, i'd rather give someone on here a chance to get it before i cancel it.
i think its going to be the original plan of 8 of us. nice and cosy!

well i've been having a look at my ADR list, originally i had more ADRs than dining plan credits, so i planned to pay out of pocket for the biergarten lunch at epcot. i've decided to cancel the ohanas breakfast i had booked on the 16th, as its 7.45am, so we'd have trouble getting buses to the poly at that time in the morning, we're going to MNSSHP the night before so are going to be tired anyway, and to be honest i was only going as it was a lilo and stitch meal. i dont like the huge fried breakfasts, they make me feel ill all day, so i've put the reservation up on the ADR wanted thread. hopefully someone will be able to make use of it. i've put the second table for ohanas dinner on the 21st on there too.

Aw, it'll be like a rehearsal dinner for the cruise! Only, I don't think Tim will be there lol. Mary's sister is going that night, correct?

yeah its her sister thats coming instead of tim.

i posted the cheque for my DVC rental at SSR last saturday, as i'd only just got the DVC confirmation through. well as of yesterday, claire (my renter) said she hadnt got it yet. i told her to give it til monday, if the cheque hadnt turned up, let me know, i'll cancel it and paypal her the money instead. i was going to go into town later and transfer the money into the account that my paypal is linked to, and hoped that i wouldnt have to cancel the cheque, it would have cost me money to cancel it, and claire would have got hit by the paypal fees.
well luckily it turned up today, monday was a bank holiday, so i know that would have slowed it down, but 6 days for a first class stamped letter to get there?!! it normally only takes a day!

but at least its there now and i dont have to worry about it now. plus it means i dont have to go out to town in the cold (its blowing a gale outside at the mo!) and i can be lazy in the warm! i still need to go into southend at some point at the weekend because i havent changed any holiday money at all..... its not like me at all to leave it this late!

the cut off date was the 24th august, so we're pretty much all set for 10 rooms. ages ago we did say that if anyone wanted to join in after the cut off date, they could but they have to know that they might not get gifts from all rooms. but so far its just the 10 rooms.

speaking of FEs, could we all make sure that we put out our FEs as soon as possible after embarkation, as we've got quite a few rooms, and not much time to give gifts out!!
