Kelly and Voni are both 23 years old, so although they are kids to me, they are actually adults....at least in theory, LOL, sometimes they act like they are 12.

Anyway, Hello from San Francisco! What a horrible long day I have had! My BF Jeanne works with me and we were scheudled to fly out of Chicago O'hare to San Francisco together for the conference we are working at. Our flight out was supposed to be at 10 am. 11:30 we were still sitting on the plane waiting to taxi to the runway. Finally they told us there was a problem with the plane (duh!) and that we should deplane and come back in 1 hour and the plane should be ready to fly. At 1 pm they called everyone on our flight back to the gate and got us all back on the plane. 3:00 rolls around and they tell us that the plane has to go back to the Hanger because the plane can't fly. They tell everyone to go to gate 22 and wait for further instructions. At 5:00 pm, another plane comes and we board that one and finally take off at 6 pm Chicago time. The flight was 5 hours, which means we landed at 9 pm San Francisco Time....total time spent from Chicago to San Francisco...14 hours...it makes for one really long day!

Tomorrow is our tour of Yosemite National Park, hopefully when I get back to the hotel I will have some pictures to share with you. As much as I love to travel for work and San Francisco is really an awesome city....I am still excited and counting down to our Disney trip. It can't get here fast enough for me!

gary bought me a pinata for my birthday, so its dangling from the basketball hoop in the back garden, and we get to beat the c**p out of a cardboard donkey later

Donna, that is a long time to spend in an airport! You probably could have driven there and made it before the plane finally arrived! At least you're there now. Looking forward to seeing pictures! Hopefully the flight home will be a better experience!

VS was having a swimsuit sale and I just bought two for $33, including shipping! This trip has provided a nice excuse to buy myself new clothes.

Here are some of my pictures for Yoesemite. Parts of the park had been on fire earlier in the week....because the area has been so dry. Pretty much anywhere you were you could still smell the fire. Also because of the heat this summer (it was 94 degrees today) the snow and ice on the mountain tops had melted earlier in the season, so that meant that the water levels were much lower than they should have been. Still it was an amazingly beautiful place, the trees the mountains, the deer and even the bears we saw made the trip really special

We stopped and had a sandwich at the Yoesemite Lodge...and they had some of the fattest squirrels I have ever seen! This guy was really bold and was taking bagel chips right out of my hand.

It was a great day, lots of walking and enjoying the great outdoors. We didn't get to see the Giant Redwoods, because that was the area where the fires were at. I would go back again, and bring a picnic and take my time walking around. Tour groups are fun, but you are on the group's time schedule not your own. It would have been nice to go at our own pace. I am really lucky that I work with my best friend and I have her to enjoy all the sightseeing with me, we had a good time laughing and walking around, which is a good thing since the next week we will spend the majority of our time in the convention center.

wow, yosemite looks amazing! i'd love to go see more of the west coast sometime. i need to pry myself away from disney for a while and go explore more of the country!!
and you're right, thats the fattest squirrel ever!! lol

Yosemite looks gorgeous. I have to get out to CA one of these days. Maybe a trip to Disneyland is in order.

Yosemite looks really cool, hopefully I will get to visit there someday. I've never been to CA, but next March one of my conferences is in Anaheim, so I get to go to Disneyland!!

I have not gotten my cruise documents yet, but I HAVE gotten my documents for my stay after the cruise at Saratoga Springs...go figure!!

I think they normally come around 2 weeks before the cruise...hopefully mine are not late, because i'm leaving on the 18th for Orlando!!

Karen, what about yours...do you think they will come in time?

I haven't received anything from the cruise line. Only my documents for the land portion have come in.

we havent gotten anything for the land portion of the trip yet i guess they will come with the cruise documents since we are doing the land and sea trip throught the cruise line instead of booking them seperatly i hope so or i am gonna hve to call disney this week and find out what the hold up is. Karen i hope i dont mess up and wash my phone i generally drop my phone when i messit up greg dropped his pearl and now it wont turn on he is MAD!! and they cant get him another one til later this wek they dont have any in the store so they are shipping it to him. Lets hope everything comes in soon so i wont have to worry.

Lainey, how do you like the Storm? I keep wanting to get one, but i've heard mixed reviews.

Did you all see the new special, Kids are free in the first part of 2010. I wish they would just have some specials that are for people without kids, they have a huge base of fans that don't have kids...oh, well. Someday I guess I will benefit from these!!

We too booked our land part through the cruise line (Land and Sea package) and don't have our documents yet. I keep waiting for them every day! Hopefully soon. At least we have cabin assignments!

mary i will let you know about it soon i should be getting it today in the mail from fedex the only bad thing that i have heard about it is that the battery on most peoples doesnt last that long but lets hope that is not on all of them but now that i have a blakcberry i have to get an email account with yahoo so that i can check it when i want since i dont have a computer at my house and it will be nice to be able to talk to everyone as soon as i set it up i will let yall know what my new email is that way if im not on the dis and yall want to talk you can email me.

i havent got anything through yet, then again i've got my 3 DVC confirmations, so i think the only thing i'm waiting on is ME info, and the cruise stuff.

only 12 days to go for us, well technically its 11 as i'm counting the days til we leave the house. we're leaving the house on friday morning, staying at the airport, then fly out on saturday morning.
gary's working away all next week, he's back up in scotland on saturday and coming back on the thursday before we leave for the airport. i've got to go pick up mum from the airport next thursday (she's coming back to dog sit), and we've just got the suitcases down from the attic so we're now officially in countdown mode!!

quick question, who's got dogs? i think its donna, mary, lainey, anyone else? also how many and what names?
