just realised that its only 3 weeks til we fly out! How the hell did that happen?!

hi everyone. I've had to pay about 60 dollars for a new pay as you go phone as apparently they dont fix water damage as it costs too much

Karen, that sucks about your phone!! I had an unfortunate incident with one of my cellphones after a new years eve party a couple of years ago...I had to buy a new one for 100 bucks. Now, I have insurance on my phones!!

I STILL do not have my CPA score. IL has released some of them, but apparently not all of them. Hopefully. Otherwise, i'm going to be waiting until September. I have been dreaming about my scores every night, that I get these awful scores. I dreamed that I got a 43 the other day! Failing, I can deal with (passing is a 75), but a 43 would totally make me cry!!

I'm all packed up at work, and we will be in our new digs on Monday. The cubes seem bigger, and I have tons of empty space around me and a big empty cube for storage (i'll be able to have space under my desk now!!). AND I get cell phone service in that building, plus I have a window...so it should be good!!

How is everyones weekend going? I went to the casino with my sister, mom, and a family friend last night for my sisters birthday. I didn't win, but it was still fun -- it's SO much nicer now that everything is smoke free here. The casino was closed for a while because there was a huge fire where the whole entrance building burnt down...but the boat itself was okay, so they reopened that part and are totally rebuilding the other. It was a really nice place so i'm sure it will be nicer when they are done.

Karen, did you see that they have Bill headed toward England? It will not be a hurricane anymore probably, but maybe you will get some weather from it. We get that all the time here when storms are in the gulf and they come north after making landfall.

hi everyone!
we've just got back from scotland about an hour ago. we had a good time, but to be honest its nice to be home. its nice and sunny here, i forgot quite how much colder it can be up there. plus cerby is glad to be back, the inlaws have a cocker spaniel, and it absolutely bullies the hell out of cerby the whole time! the poor dog is passed out on the floor at the mo!
well the phone is still broken, i turned it on last night and it seemed to be working fine, it turned on, it couldnt find a signal but i just thought it was due to the fact that gary's parents house seems to be a black hole for cell phone signal. the battery did die so i plugged it in and left it to charge all night. well it was making a buzzing noise when i woke up this morning, i unplugged it and the noise stopped. went to turn it on, it turns itself on but the touchscreen wont work now we've taken it apart, going to let it dry out for a few days on the off chance that its still damp, but i'm not hopeful. i've got a horrible feeling that the buzzing noise this morning fried the touchscreen. i've bought a new pay as you go cell phone, but still using the sim, but my lovely touchscreen phone is still dead

but on the up side, only 20 days til we go on holiday!
but someone on the "what did you get upgraded to" thread said that they stayed in our room in may and it smelt of mildew, so i'm a bit nervous about that

You changed? How did you do that? Are you using DVC? I just received our magical express passes for both hotel reservations. I still need to cancel one of them.

Nope, no DVC, I have a regular reservation. It's a room only reservation though so there's no penalty to change it unless it's within 5 days of travel.

Mary, sorry you still haven't gotten your scores. Hopefully you'll get them soon!

Karen, sorry to hear about your phone. Oh, I wouldn't read too much into those reviews. It seems people only write them when they have something to complain about. There's so many on trip advisor that rip apart the Disney resorts, it's unbelievable.

This weekend's been kinda rough. I'm actually looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.

cristina, although renting DVC points may save you some money, it can take a while to find a good renter and sort the deal out, so if i were you i'd leave it for this trip, maybe next trip? the reason i swapped mine to DVC so close to my travel date was that i kinda knew the person i was renting the points off. i wouldnt have done it if i'd have had to find a new renter off the boards.

mary, hope your CPA score comes through soon, it must be driving you mad with all the waiting right now!

Good morning!! We are in the new building at work, I was totally lost coming in and then it took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to turn on the lights!!

Do we have the final list for the FE on the first page? I have to get the gifts finished, I just realized that I don't have a free weekend before the trip, it's coming up so fast!

Karen, I'll be ok. Something that's been a long time coming just finally blew up Friday night. Don't really want to get into details. I'm just grateful this weekend is over.

Is today the cut off day for the FE? The list is on the first page Mary. I posted the info Karen gave me. Has anyone else joined since then?

I'm listening to the 80s online station. It's fun!! It's so quiet in my new cube, it's on the inside of the aisle so nobody is bugging me or stopping by my walls to talk!! And I can listen to the radio without feeling like i'm bugging everyone.

Jen, I hope things get better. Just remember, less than 1 month till vacation!!

Then put your mouse over audio/video and there's one that says 80s stream, or theres just the regular one too. My work blocks a ton of stuff, but you can get on it here, so its worth a try!!

So, I think that unpacking sucks as much as packing!! It is nice to know where everything is for a change...but it still takes forever!!

We had to move our office last year. It was a NIGHTMARE. It took a week for everything to be unpacked. The movers basically dumped everything in the back and we were responsible for getting it out in the main office. So much fun.

I'm glad it worked!! It's a fun station, my sisters are 8 & 11 years older than me, so when I was little, I listened to all the 80s stuff. It's just fun music!!

We did have crates, and the move was very organized. But I have a TON of crap at my desk from all the letters I send out, so by the end of packing up, I was just dumping stuff in the crates. Now I have to go through it all!! And my temp starts tomorrow, so I have to have something for him to work on...so I really need to get started on printing out this years letters for him to mail out.

It's nice here though, I have a window, we get cell phone service in this building, AND there is a basement here, so in case of a tornado we can go there!! I hate storms, so that makes me happy!! That's one of my big fears about moving to FL...no basements to go to in a tornado!! Plus -- we have a cafeteria in this building, so we don't have to go outside anymore. AND the best part -- we have an ice cream vending machine!!

I love 80's music too. My sister is 12 years older than me so that's probably why! I used to sneak into her room and "borrow" her U2 tapes as well as other bands.

We had a lot more than just our desks to pack up. We have brochures, tourbooks, maps. It was two offices combining and I went through a lot of the outdated stuff and threw it out but the other office didn't. It was a mess!! Our new place is nice but I miss the old place. It felt more like an office. This place is so big and spread out, I feel like I'm in a warehouse. Plus, I have to deal with creepy mechanics since there is a AAA car care center right next to us. Fun, fun!

We don't have an ice cream vending machine but we have an ice cream truck that comes around!!

So, funny story, we have a couple of gay guys that work in my department (nothing against gay people), and the one just came over to see my new cube and he saw a wedding picture that i have on my desk, and he was like, your husband is hot!! LOL!! So I texted him and he was all freaked out. It was kind of akward...I was like...Thank you?!? What do you say to that!! LOL!!

I just thought it was funny, I knew he would be weird about it. LOL!!

So, I ordered the pink camera!!! I was debating over it, but then I was like...if Tim can spend $6,000 on a new bike -- I can get a $170 new camera!! I'm excited because it will take digital underwater pictures, and it will be nice to have at Atlantis since it can get wet.

How's work today Jen? It looks like a filing cabinet threw up on my desk right now!! LOL!! I have to figure out where to put everything. It's so nice to see the sun at my desk though!!
