i think i'm going to go insane this weekend, going to get disboards withdrawl.
despite being in the middle of glasgow, gary's parents house is some form of cell phone signal black hole..........

:thumbsup2Just got my room number! We booked Cat 12, got a cat 10 inside with the split bath. :thumbsup2 I'm soooo happy about the split bath! I wouldn't have cared if we had the regular one, but that will be one nice perk. We're in 2607. Little strange that the DCL page says we're in a Cat 12 when it says everywhere else that 2607 is a 10. Oh well.

My goodness you ladies have been busy today chatting! It took me a couple of minutes to go through what I missed.

Lainey....the house looks so cute! When was it built? I love the land you have behind the house, it's awesome. The house we are living in now was built in 1924 and was a farm house. It's hard for me to imagine a time when my neighborhood was a farming community since I live in Chicago.

The house originally had one bedroom, one living area, a bathroom and a very small kitchen. In the 60's the house was lifted up and a basement was added. The family that had the house in the 70's expanded the kitchen and added a sun porch and another bedroom. Here is my little sunroom.

The family that lived here in the 90's finished the basement, added a large porch in the back, a garage and a play house that matches the garage.

We are the sixth family to live in the house...and we are remodeling the bathroom and hopefully bumping up the attic and making a Master Bedroom Suite. It's funny my entire life has been spent in the suburbs so I am still getting used to not having a driveway, and the houses being so close together.

Karen, Happy Birthday to Cerby from Lilo! Do you do anything special for his Birthday? We give all the pets a special treat on their birthdays! The kitties get a can of tuna, and Lilo gets a hamburger (just the meat...not the bun, although she would probably eat the bun, LOL).

Love the Goombay Smash...very clever. Almost forgot, welcome Erica!

I got my room too! We got an 11 (one of the sideways ones), which is okay. On deck five, room 5009. Karen, you should check!!

Hmmmmmm........I am checking the stateroom reports, and it says that the room is loud because it is over the theater. Hopefully, it will at least be quiet at night. Do you know if they reherse or anything at night?

Oh,well. I really don't know why i'm stressing (which i'm not anyways...SO excited I got my room!!). I'm going to be at the port at the crack of dawn to upgrade anyways...:lmao:

got a cat 11 on deck 6. not as good as last year but still better than when we booked so its ok

i love the goombay tour idea i hope yall like the drink as much as i do as long as you tell them not to use capt. morgans spiced rum it will be good.

The house was built in 1957 maybe a little earlier yeah the land backs up to his parents house it all belongs to gregs family (oh incase yall wanted to know gregs last name is McFall and he is 25 so i will be the youngster at our dinner table on the cruise) We are so proud of the house i love it and cant wait to move in. Yeah the diningroom and kitchen are not that bright of a yellow but now that i think about it it does look like mickeys shoes well jen it looks like so far its just us on deck 7 or am i forgetting someone? (since i have a tendency to forget)

so far there's 2 on deck 2, 1 on deck 5, 2 on deck 6, 2 on deck 7

donna, i didnt really do anything for cerby's birthday, we went for a nice walk earlier and he had a bath this morning, but not much else. he's in the garden in the dark at the mo eating a jumbone (big chew thing)

Oh sad, I am all alone on deck 5!! That's okay...maybe I will upgrade at the port to room 8030!! :lmao:

So happy you guys got your room assignments! :yay:

I like Captain Morgan, Lainey. Better than other rums. Maybe I'll have to try one with and one without! :rotfl:

So Karen, speaking of planning obsessively...I just changed my AKV stay to BCV. Same price. The pool sold me. :rolleyes1

i was hoping for a window again, but hey i still got more than i paid for, so its all good. might need to take a nightlight though, i think no natural light might be a bit disorientating!
well at least we're all getting room numbers now, means i can start on the FE maps next week when i get back from glasgow.

lol, i think we'll all kep changing til the day we check in at this rate!!

Okay, not sure how that posted twice...

Jen, you are a crazy room changer!! BCV will be AWESOME though, I love that place!! And it's close to Epcot, and the Boardwalk...lots to do. Don't forget to go to the quiet pool though, at least once. It is (in my opinion) the best quiet pool of the deluxes.

congrats on the great upgrade, thats what we got last year, kinda jealous but really happy for you!

jenny, i understand why youve changed again, that pool does look awesome!
i'm still really looking forward to AKL though! one day i will pry myself away to the boardwalk though.....

Yay for getting stateroom numbers for everyone!!

I'm on my way home now. We have a tornado watch and a severe thunderstorm warning. Should make for fun traffic!! :scared1:
