i noticed your facebook status, hope you feel better soon :)
at least you can dis all afternoon!!

I got Sims 2 for my birthday...haven't played it yet, but I love the first Sims. Actually what I love is building houses and decorating them, LOL. I have hundreds of uploaded furniture, paint and other house accessory files. Now I have to find what I can get for Sims 2.

Thanks, karen. I would have DISed all afternoon from work like I normally do either way lol. I took some sudafed and a nap and I feel a bit better.

I loved the Sims but it didn't really have a point to it after awhile, ya know? Sims 2 gives you goals and generally more options throughout the entire game. And you don't have to work every single day of the game! You get days off. I'm sure Sims 3 is amazing, I can't wait to get it!

i've just been to asda (supermarket) with gary, its 9.30 at night, pitch black, and just passed a guy in a full wetsuit walking into the supermarket on his cell phone.......
during the day i could understand, maybe he'd just come from the beach, but at night when its been dark for over an hour? where on earth was he coming from??!!!!! :rotfl:

cristina, you can't use 2 days on a 5 day ticket to park hop. i think they keep track somehow, but it definately doesnt allow you to park hop unless you purchase that option. disney sure do know how to squeeze more money out of people dont they?!

So I can't go to AK on Tuesday on the 2nd day and when it closes at 5, use my 3rd day and go to Epcot when it will stay open later? That means I would have to work around and choose the park where we can stay the most at all night? :confused3

Some people on the other threads were talking about the cabins on different decks. I just upgraded for $100 from Category 11 (Inside) to Category 9 Oceanview midship (with large porthole), but went from Deck 7 to Deck 2. I hope I did ok. Looks like the cabin is bigger also. Does anyone know which deck they disembark at ports? I also read about the basic 5 day ticket so I got aquainted with the rules. I guess we'll change our plans a little and try to add a 1 day since we haven't purchased our return ticket yet. :surfweb: We got the rental car to the port and now looking for the rental car back to hotel or we just have to force ourselves to pay $35 each on the magical express. It may be less hassle in the long run :confused3

You are right, the 9s are a bit bigger than the 11s. I'm in a GTY 12, so I don't know my room number yet. Hopefully in a couple of weeks...but I will keep checking obsessivley every day...LOL!! :goodvibes

I'm still up to study. I am SO sick of it!! I think my brain is full. :rotfl: I have super respect for any people that passed the CPA back when you had to do all 4 parts in 2 days...I cannot imagine having to remember all of that!!

Karen, how is Cerby doing? Minnie is still flipping her ear, but only a little. It's not twitching anymore. So, she seems to be doing better. We have to do the drops until Sunday, so hopefully she will be all better by then!!

Tim got his bike yesterday! I will have to post some pictures of it. I got one with Minnie on it, and she has her tounge stuck out in the picture, it's pretty funny!! He took it out yesterday and today...but today, he had to stop when coming out of his brother's driveway because someone was flying up the road...the curb there is really high for driveways (I HATE his driveway, it sucks driving up that bump!!) and he fell over. He's fine, but he broke some bracket on the rear brake pedal (which apparenlty is not that important as you don't use the rear break that much on a bike??) so he was all bummed. Now I have to go get the part tomorrow for him, but it isn't too hard to replace. It could have been much worse -- which is what makes me so nervous about motorcycles!! :scared1:

unfortunately, yes.

disney have sussed it out that people will want to do this so the turnstiles will not let you park hop by using extra days. you have to specifically buy the park hopping option to be able to do this :(

we were upgraded from a cat 12 to a cat 9 deck 2 midship last year, it was great! we were in cabin 2556, right next to the midship elevator, really convenient location, quiet, loved the window. you definately did the right thing!! (cat 9s on deck 2 have one large window, as opposed to the cat 9s on deck 1 that have 2 tiny windows). the window was great when we were docking at CC, we saw the whole island before we could get off.

the reason we went back to a cat 12 this time instead of booking the cat 9 was purely money. this was supposed to be a cheapy holiday after last years blowout and unfortunately it hasnt happened, i kept adding things! for the cruise i went back to the cheapest category! hey, we weren't in the room much last year anyway!

and disembarkation on port days is on deck 1, forward, port side.

mary, gary used to have a bike when we first started going out, but he didnt have much luck with bikes.
we were both working on a holiday park at the time and just before we got together he parked it next to one of those big wheelie bins. some holidaymaker put one of those disposable barbeques in it while it was still hot, it set fire to the bin, pretty much blew up garys bike, and melted the chassis of a landrover next to it.
the second bike he had, someone threw a can of green paint over it.
i think it was then that he decided that him owning a bike was maybe not meant to be!

cerby is doing ok, his ear thing has been going on for a while, but he only really yelped when gary was rubbing his ear, so we put it down to gary rubbing too hard. it was only when i was in the vets for his eyes that i asked them to have a look at his ears, and we got the drops. he's taking them a bit easier now, not putting up quite as much of a fight.
his eye is bugging me a bit though. the actual eye isnt red anymore and his eyelid isnt drooping anymore, but the skin up the corner of his eye is a bit red and puffy. i'm going to give it til friday (end of the 5 day course) and if its not cleared up i'll take him back to the vets.
is minnie ok?

i was supposed to have a meeting at one of the recruitment agencies today, they called me yesterday morning, and asked me to come in. i didnt write it down because she said she'd email me all of the details. but she never did, so i didnt go. she called me from a witheld number so i couldnt call her back, cant remember her name or which agency, i've applied to loads.
but i have been applying for loads of jobs so hopefully something will come through soon, fingers crossed!

good luck with the rest of the CPA :)

Karen, I keep thinking about your job hunting and your vacation planning skills. I think you should look into something like I do....Event or Meeting Planning for a job, basically you would be organizing events (like cruise meets) but on a larger scale. I think you would be great at it!;)

i'd love to become a travel agent, but no one will even speak to me because i dont have the qualifications :(

If GTY 12 was available at the time of our booking, I would have jumped on that. I read people are getting very good upgrades. I went online last night at our usual supersaving travel website and our cabin was $500 more, but they were offering OBC. It wasn't anywhere near the savings DCL gave us by booking direct with them. Usually, we found the cruise lines are much more. We've been loyal to NCL (lately) because of military discounts, but maybe DCL has more to offer in the long run. On NCL, you have to purchase soda cards, you're charged $15 per bottle of alcohol and you're forced to pay the prepaid gratuities even though our 3 boys never used the dining rooms. Instead they spent 2 weeks tipping room service to avoid being seen with parents LOL. :rotfl:

:yay::yay::yay:HI EVERYONE!:yay::yay::yay:

Sorry I've been MIA, just really busy at work and then home in the evenings! Can't believe we're getting closer to our sail date...I woke up this morning wishing today was the day. Oh well, not too much longer!

How is everyone doing?

Karen, what qualifications do you need to become a travel agent? Most places around here either want a couple years experience or at the very least, sales experience. I had the sales and customer service experience after years of being a server so that's how I got into the field.

I don't think I could ever ride on a motorcycle. I'd be terrified. I'm afraid when I see them on the road that I'm going to hit them or something. They make me nervous and I'm not even the one driving it!!!

Good luck with your CPA exams!

Oh, UGH, I have to come one here to vent!! So, remember how I told you that Tim broke a part on his bike last night? Well, he's been calling around to try and find the part, but apparently it takes a while for them to figure it out or whatever, so he calls me as says, I can't be on the phone all day you know, can you call. I am very frustrated!! I said, you know, I can just be on the phone all day, it's not like I have a very important test tomorrow or anything. And then he gives me attitude!! GRRRRRRRRRR!!! I am so mad right now!! I can't study when he's home because he can't appreciate the fact that I need at least semi-quiet to get anything done...so I'm at home during the day this week....and then I can't even be allowed to study then because "he can't be on the phone all day, you know".

Now, don't get me wrong -- he is not usually like this. But it's like he's obsessed with this bike, and forget my test!! Geez!! :headache:

Sorry for the vent..........

I would be really annoyed with that too! You have your test to worry about; you shouldn't have to spend all day on the phone wondering if you're going to get a part for HIS bike!! Mary, just study and don't bother yourself with it, it's not fair to you. Let him worry about it.
