Congratulations on getting the job at the disney store and getting your old job back Karen.
We have pretty much decided on doing the land and sea trip on the 19th of september 2010 and doing the land portion with my family and it will be my little brothers first trip to disney and my stepdads (56 years old) first trip to the world and they are gonna do the dining plan i am hoping that they will do the free dining again next year.
As soon as i get some wedding pictures back i will post them so that yall can see them the only one i have now is my matron of honors pictures and there are a couple with me in them but that is all that i have right now.

BTW - If anyone was wondering, the mugs were from us... I got on the ship, only to realize that I hadn't labeled who they were from! Doh! So mystery solved if anyone was wondering!!

We had so much fun with the FE... Thanks to everyone!! It was like Christmas every day. Kiddo got WAY too much candy... LOL (Who am I kidding... Chris and I got way too much candy. We hid most of it before kiddo could see it... LOL)

Can't wait to get the photopass pictures back!!

Hi everybody! Just got back last night. Sorry we didn't get to the group meet on the ship. We upgraded at port and there were several issues about where our luggage and cabin gifts I had pre-ordered ended up. We only were able to catch the very end of the sail away party, then we had to go back to guest services to straighten things out. By the end of the cruise it turned out that the family that took our original cabin, (6570) got our champagne, our cheese platter, photo package and Castaway Club gifts. Saturday morning everything got straightened out except the photo package, (which I have to call about this morning) and concierge sent me a lithograph of Cinderella to make up for all of the problems.

We had a great time on the cruise. The only time I got seasick was dinner the first night. I had my appetizer then suddenly I felt really dizzy and could feel the ship moving...then Voni felt it, then Kelly did too. The only one that never got seasick was Bob. The girls actually were only sick about an hour or so, I was only sick a few hours...then it was gone.

Loved the cabana massage on Castaway Cay! Wow it was so relaxing and really beautiful there. As we were leaving the strap on my camera broke and the camera fell and smashed into pieces on the ground. It was a brand new Fuji FinePix, and it was only the second time I used the camera....so I was really upset that there would be no more pictures on the cruise.

Kelly and Voni did the snorkeling, tube and bike rental on Castaway Cay. They had a great time....until it was time to go the bed and Kelly was as red as a lobster (and yes she did have sunblock on, just not enough of it I guess). Her entire back from her neck to her feet were fried from snorkeling. When we got off the boat and headed to Disney World we stopped at Urgent Care and they told us to keep her hydrated and apply lots of aloe. Two days later we had her in one of those motorized wheel chairs because people kept walking into her in the parks and it was really painful for her. By day four we were in first aid at EPCOT because she started to blister and her shirt was stuck to her. Back to Urgent Care where they covered her in Neosporin and gave her pain medication. Wherever we went after that we had to stop every four hours to find a place to reapply the Neosporin to her back and shoulders....poor thing was miserable, but refused to just stay at Old Key West and relax.

The flight home last night was like something out of a really bad movie... the ratio of kids to adults was probably something like 3 kids to every 1 adult. I have never been on a flight were there was constant screaming and crying for the entire time....and to top it off it was a really turbulent flight, which was probably the reason that the kids were all screaming.

Kelly and I are back to Old Key West in 37 days....Bob and I go to Bay Lake Tower in 6 months. We are also thinking about the Alaska cruise, we put down a deposit on a "Phantom Date" so we can decide which cruise we want to go on. Tomorrow it is back to the real world (work ) for all of us. I will post some of my pictures on here as soon as I can get them all uploaded.

Almost forgot, thanks everyone for all of the gifts...they were awesome! I am curious...did everyone get their gift with the USB Memory Stick? I was really worried those would get snatched out of the bags.

glad to hear you got back ok donna, i forgot that there were still some people out there, i'd kinda got it into my head that everyone would be back already. then again its only been a week since we got back but it seems like weeks ago.....
we did the bike/float/snorkel package too, i ended up with slight sunburn (well more sun grill) on my back, this is the first time in my entire life i've ever got sunburn, and now that you mention it, it probably was the snorkelling too, it was only my back that got it. then again gary got burnt as normal everywhere!
i got the pack with the memory stick, the first day or two i was thinking "cor, how many gifts has donna done?!", they kept coming, hope everyone liked my gifts too, i'm not too crafty so i went for what i thought i could pull off well, instead of trying to make something too fiddly then messing it up!!

lainey, your new avatar looks great, cant wait to see your wedding photos when you get them back, you look so happy in that photo

thanks for the congrats on the new job, i'm so happy i got the disney store job, i think it'll be good fun, shame i've not got any trips planned soon so i can take advantage of any resort discounts we get but its going to be a tough job trying not to spend all my wages on stuff from the store!

i'm getting really bored with the jetlag now. gary's away on business til thursday, there was nothing on tv and i was bored so i came to bed about 2 hours ago, watched a dvd for an hour or so then tried to get to sleep. its just before midnight now and i'm still nowhere near tired. its really annoying....

got to go back to the disney store tomorrow (its 45 min drive) to fill in my new starter paperwork. apart from that i've got nothing planned so at least i get a lie in!

Glad you liked it! We had a blast making the treasure chests that most of the sticks went in...I think we had two sticks in Hannah Montana containers because we didn't have time to make more of the little chests. Also, it was Bob's idea to name each stick something related to Pirates. With us, Bob is the more crafty person...he made both FE, and was patting himself on the back for the skulls he hung off the second one he made....he also made our T-Shirts for the trip. Now that we are home, he is working on a model of the Tardis. Boys and their toys!

Donna you are the best!! Greg kept getting the bags and saying heres another one from Bob and Donna he said HOW MUCH DID SHE SPEND! i loved them all but i am actually reusing the treasure chest for my little 5 year old brother i know he will love it even more and use it for all of his "treasures" which is usually change that sissy(me) gives him.
I was just happy that the scrapbooking characters i put on the photoalbums stayed on and that the iron ons turned out great i really liked the ones on the back.
Thank you karen that is a picture that my sisinlaw took and yes i was VERY HAPPY!! and still am i just wish greg wasnt working so much he has only been home 3 nights since we have gotten home which mean more money for our anniversary trip next year but less time together oh well now that we finally have internet i can talk to my disney buddies.

Glad you liked the bags, as we started coming up with ideas we couldn't decide on just one, so we made several bags for each cabin. The jell bracelets were the only thing that I have tons left over. To place an order you had to pay for 50 of them....I thought they were a cute idea, but was kind of disappointed that they didn't turn out like I thought they would. They were a little hard to read. Kelly loved them, she is still wearing hers!

i'm really badly missing disney too, it doesnt seem like only a week since we got back, it seems like months ago...... you guys all seem to be planning return visits too, and i know there's no chance of me getting back til at least 2012
but i'm hoping that the disney store job will take my mind off my lack of holiday planning!

did you have a good birthday jenny? were you working or did you get the day off?

Can you get discounts for the parks working at the Disney Store? You can live vicariously through all of us Karen until it's your turn to go again.

My birthday was good. I had the day off and went to dinner with my family. On Saturday night, Joe took me to the NY Rangers home opener. It was awesome and they won 5-2.

i'm not sure what discounts i get, at the mo i'm not even sure if i get store discounts (the guy doing my paperwork crossed out the bit for the staff discount card), but i'll ask when i start, i want to buy some pins cheaply!!

yeah you can live your disney vacation through us until you can go we are also thinking about doing the only 7day Caribbean cruise they are doing in sept. of 2011 so it looks like we are going to disney the next 2 years
but the cruise wont be the same without our dining buddies. I told greg that if we are going on a week long cruise in 2011 his other 7day vacation has to be used to go to the parks for a week since i cant not go to the parks if we are going on the cruise.

question: does anyone else find adding the borders to photopass photos really dull? i've been on there twice adding borders, but get bored after about 10 mins and give up. wish there was an easier way to do it!

I read your live report Karen and I'm off to look at your pictures now. Work is slow and I figure 3000+ pictures is more than enough to keep me occupied!

Why didn't any of us think to get a group shot of us at dinner??

i've just tried to add more borders to my photopass photos (god i find doing that boring....), but it kept crashing. i think its conspiring against me......

I'm feeling ok. I just feel very anxious today for some reason. My stomach is in knots and my heart is pounding. I just feel really strange.

I think I've made all the edits I'm going to make on our photopass. We really didn't take that many photos. Especially compared to all of you guys! I don't know, I just don't have the patience to wait in character lines. I'd rather be on rides!

we didnt take that many either, especially with the characters. i grabbed anyone who was infront of any of the park icons (as they were normally free) but some of the character lines were crazy. i just find it really boring adding all the borders and stuff.

have you got anything playing on your mind/worrying about anything? that might be causing it, hope you get better soon either way

did i show you guys what i bought on the cruise? i'd got some money before we left for my birthday and wanted to buy a big fig, but couldnt find any in the parks that i particularly liked (they still had a load of the star wars ones and i dont like star wars....) so when i saw this i had to have it! it was the only one they had left (apart from the one on display) so i bought it before someone else did!!

I think everything that happened with my cousin before vacation just caught up with me. I didn't really have much time to think about it with all the running around and now I have too much time on my hands.
