hi everyone,
we got back to the cold murky grey UK this morning :(, i'm trying to fight the jetlag at the mo, but not sure if its working :rotfl:
had a great holiday and a great cruise, it was great meeting everyone, to anyone who might have missed us on embarkation day, sorry, we ended up sitting on deck 9 instead of 10 as it was way too hot up there!
castaway cay day marked the first time in my entire life that i got sunburnt. well not really burnt (unlike gary!!), more sun broiled!! my back is a bit tender!
we got back home about 9.30 this morning, and i think the dog is very happy to see us! but its all too much for them, gary and cerby are both fast asleep!! i've started on the huge pile of washing. gotta unpack later......

hey everyone greg and i had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting everyone we got to meet i hop everyone liked their FE gifts. Karen greg is loving all the candy and stuff you put in the bag from the UK i think he has almost eaten all of it which means i havent gotten any of it. we got home sunday at about 10:30 we had to go see my mom, and gregs parents before we got home. It was nice to come home to a fridge full of food.
I think we are going to try and do the land and sea again next september but do the shorter resort stay b/c greg wants a longer cruise but the 7days to the caribbean are at a time when he cant get off from work.
I wonder if the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce people found their way home and how big their bar tab was?:rotfl::rotfl:

i'd LOVED to have seen their bill!!! that'd have been scary! i wonder if it would have been one big bill or if they'd have paid their own??!!
i'm just putting all my holiday photos onto our hard drive at the mo, i wonder what the total number will be this time??

ok, think i may have gone a bit overboard this time.
16 days in disney, and i've got 3322 photos :scared:

is anyone else depressed that they're back home??!! :(

btw: i got a call an hour or so ago and have got a group interview at the disney store on monday, wish me luck!!

I'm depressed I'm back home! Even more depressed I'm back at work! I can't believe how fast it all went by.

Wow, Karen. What did you take pictures of??? I only took a little over 600.

i think i took photos of everything!! i wasnt expecting it to total that many!!!
are you doing a trip report for your PTR? i think they're expecting it!

Yeah, I'm going to do a TR but I just ordered a new computer so I have to wait for that to get here first. Probably within the next couple weeks.

cool :)
i never got round to finishing last years trip report (i started it and got up to about day 8 of 21 but never got round to finishing it) so this year i went for the live reports lazier option :rotfl:
hows the first day back at work going?

Had some catching up to do but other than that it's been dull. I uploaded my photopass pictures. I didn't really take all that many to be honest. Too busy running around the parks. That's been my work day lol.

i havent got round to uploading mine yet, but i dont think i took that many, especially not many with the characters.....

Hello Everyone!
We had a great time on our first Disney Cruise. I passed out my presents late, because the cruise couldn’t find the box I sent myself with all the gifts. I received the box in my room on Pirate Night, so instead of enjoying the party, I was putting together all the giftsL I was surprised as we were walking through the decks passing out the gifts that only our group seemed to decorate their doors and/or have the fish extenders. I was expecting at least half of the ship participating.

We also had a great experience at the Animal Kingdom Villas. Our owner was a little difficult, but at least the reservations existed. Our room was on the 5th floor near the Kidani Villas and we were able to see all sorts of animals. We’re tempted just to stay there and enjoy the hotel next time. By the time our bus picked us up for the airport, we still had 1 counter service and 5 snacks left. The counter service was supposed to be a kids meal, but found out on the last day that we can use them towards adults also. LOL. We took them all on the airplane since Air Tran doesn’t serve anything. Our last minute vacation getaway worked out really well. I’ll figure out how to do a TR this weekend. I can’t wait to see all our pictures. Usually, I’m carrying around a bunch of camera gear, but this time we only brought point and shoot type. I'm having a rough time today since we arrived at home about 1am and had to be at work by 8am. :scared1:

poor you, 7 hours between getting home and work??!!

i think it must have been a bad time for DCL as they lost mary's box too, i think hers turned up on day 2 though too so at least they found them!
we loved our AKV room too, we were at the end of zebra trail and could see the MK fireworks from our room :)

glad you had a great time too, i'm trying to keep myself busy so i'm not thinking of the fact that i wont be getting more disney fix til at least 2012 :(

It sounds like everyone had a great trip. I noticed too that we seemed to be the only ones with decorated doors. It made it easier to find everyone!

Joe wants to go back for his birthday...in January...maybe for a long weekend. We'll see.

Welcome home, everyone! I see that everyone is dealing with the same post-trip depression I am. It's just awful to return to normal life after such an amazing trip! DH wasn't convinced about this cruise up until the time we boarded, but now he is spending hours scouring the DIS and we're considering another 3-day Wonder cruise for our 15th anniversary in March for just the two of us. It was great to travel with a large group but it was also EXHAUSTING to keep up with everyone, so we'd like a more romantic cruise sometime.

I'm sorry we didn't make it to the meet on Embarkation Day! I was amazed at how BUSY we were once we were on the ship and I completely lost track of time. I also want to thank everyone for all the AMAZING FE gifts. We are still in shock at how generous all of you are. Everything was so appreciated and you really helped make things extra-magical for the kids!

Amy

Karen,

I have a question for you! The kids LOVED their special UK candies and especially the little packet of coin-shaped fruit gummies...I think they were sugar coated? I told them I'd save the package and try to order some or look at World Market, but I can't find it now and I don't remember the name of the candy. I know my description is terrible, but does this ring a bell?
Thank you!

Amy,

I have them at my desk right now lol. The candy is slowly making its way into my office drawer. They're called Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles.

lol, i was trying to remember what i'd given until i read your post!!

amy, if you cant get hold of any, drop me a PM and i can send you some over, it'll be cheaper for me to send them over than you to order them off the net.

this also goes for anyone else who'd like anything sent over from the UK :)
