9/19/09 Western Magic

I just called DH at lunch. He stopped by our house and said the cruise docs have arrived! I can't wait to get home and open them.

Mamajo-That is great news about your deductible being covered!

Karen-I have all our FE gifts packed and they are in a large rolling suitcase by themselves. Thank goodness for Southwest.

Dennis-Thanks for sharing your news from your sis-in-law. It makes the waiting even harder hearing recent news on the western.

I can't believe our honeymoon is almost here! :bride:

Lunch is over...back to work. :surfweb:

CatManDoo-the cruise docs are really not necessary. There is the luggage tags that are in there, but if they don't come, they will give you some at the port. For me, it just solidifies that the date is getting closer and makes it become more of a reality after planning and booking 1 1/2 years ago!! HTH!

Dennis,
That is great about your SIL! Let us know if there is something that she said that shouldn't be missed on any of the stops.. Or something we could do without!!

I was looking at my reservation today and noticed they changed my cabin number. I went from an Aft Deck 6 - category 6 to a Mid-ship Deck 7- category 5 :thumbsup2 There's probably no real difference between the 2 cabins (sq ft etc) but they can still change things around as it suits them. I'm happy (but not enough for a dancing banana haha)

We haven't received our docs yet but I am thinking that they will still be a few more days. I hope that we get them before we leave.

well we are loved.. Brown paid me a visit this afternoon. Yay! Now I suppose I need to get on the stick and fill out the forms online, huh?

I love the poem, that is great, I am sure the kids will be thrilled!!! :thumbsup2
great job

Good news!!!! I was wrong.........never thought I would say that :rotfl:

I called the insurance company today. What happens is that there is a percentage placed on whose fault the accident was. If he was at 20% fault then we would pay 20%, if he was at 50% fault then we would pay 50% of our deductable. Tony was 0% at fault. We don't have to pay anything! Just the hassle of getting it fixed, which hopefully they can do before we leave.
thank goodness...zipiddy dooda zipity eah!
Hi all!
Just wanted to let you know that my sis-in-law just called. She said they all enjoyed their Western Caribbean Cruise so much, that they booked on board the Eastern Caribbean with St. Maarten that sails on March 20th. They loved all the ports of call and enjoyed the days at sea. they were so sad:sad: when they had to disembark, but they are right now having a blast:cheer2: in South Beach Miami. They leave Miami for Madrid tomorrow and I can't wait to see them on Thursday, since they are bringing all the navigators as well as lots of extra stuff from the 'Magic':).

We are still considering to book on board the 12 night Northern European Capitals if we get a good deal. :woohoo:

Just wanted to share this info with you folks.

Dennis

get all the scoop for us! and be safe

my best to everyone.... (sorry kathy)
our docs made it to the TA today! so we should have 'em soon!! :dance3:

I'm so upset today. Tony was driving home from work and while he was stopped in traffic someone smashed into him. Thankfully he is okay, just a little sore but our car is only 6 weeks old, plus we are driving down to Disney two weeks from today. The damage doesn't look too bad but we will still have to pay the deductable of $500 to have it fixed and it wasn't even his fault.
Jody,
I'm so sorry:sad2: I hope you guys can get it fixed before the trip.

FE UPDATE GROUP #1:
check your pm....Yonkrs Girl sent out a new list...Kirstin's Mommy cabin number chnage!

Hi Everyone.

Our long-awaited cruise documents arrived in California.:banana:

It's starting to feel very, very real. We are leaving for Florida on the 11th.

Can anyone tell me what page/post the updated FE list is on. I have been trying to keep track as people post room assignments and changes, but feel I have missed someone.

Jody--congrats on the insurance info.

LOVED the poem; so cute. Wish I could have done a trip like this with my boys when they were young. Maybe I can convince them to come and celebrate a 30th vow renewal in 2011. Maybe I will even have a couple of daughter in laws by then:rotfl2:

Prayers to all as you prepare with all the last minute preparations and travel mercies. FLORIDA here we come. :cheer2::cheer2:

FE UPDATE GROUP #1:
Kirstin's Mommy #6536 and her parents and sister #6526.... please make sure that is what your list states. Thanks

I have my list updated as well but think I may have PMd a few out with the opposite numbers. Thought it was her parents in 6536 - Sorry for any confusion!

I was wondering if I NEED to PM it out to everyone or will it be duplicating? Maybe I should send to those who are NOT in the Yahoo Group since everyone else is getting it from there?

Please let me know what you want me to do! Just trying to avoid any more confusion :rotfl:

Thanks so much!

Monica

Oh my goodness. I have been lurking for a few days and actually wrote out nice post the last two nights before I headed off to bed but my computer just zapped them and wouldn't send them out. gggrrrr.

Anywho, life is rushing towards my family at full tilt and I could sure use some encourgment to keep running at this pace!

The DH got the word today, he is expected to report to duty for his new Gov't job (after 25 years with "the Bank" ~ he's a Senior Vice President) on September 28th. I am so excited for him, this process started in December last year! But at the same time, terrified for us! Huge changes after so many years with one employer. We even need to buy a car (boo-hoo, no company car after driving one for 20 years), his phone, our insurance all changes ( Our family goes through about $200 a month in just copays currently, no idea what the new plans will/won't cover for all our maintenance drugs), and then comes the 100 mile commute to just outside Wash,DC. The different hours. . .

He will leave the bank on vacation days (yeah, we all get to cruise together) and when we return, he will have a new employer. I guess lots of men change jobs a bit more often or work for themselves so this might not sound so big to some of you but it has just never been an issue with us, ever. The Bank had him before I did I like to say! We married the first year he worked there!

Anywho, my last few days of cruise planning and pulling it all together to travel have to be combined with lots of other stuff now. . .

And once we are off the ship? It is hightail it back up the road the 1000 miles to get home so he can report in on Monday am!

This vacation time just took on added meaning! The calm before the new storm!

So if I am scarce, I am reading along, just, just, . . .in overload mode!

So glad it worked out $$$ wise but still sorry you have to think about all this so close to leaving for a vacation you have been planning for over a year!

. . .couple of you are leaving within just a few days!!! Wow! Safe travels. see you on the ship!! Happy weddings to all who are celebrating in the next week or two! Happy WDW to those who are vacationing there before you join us on the ship!

It's coming right up!

Does anyone have a map of the FE that they can send me? Thanks in advance!! :)

Jody, glad to hear the repairs will be covered by the other driver.:cool1:

Kim, that is wonderful that he starts right after the cruise and will still be able to sail with us. :thumbsup2

Kim...thinking of you. You and yours will definitely have a big adjustment but I am hoping it will all go smoothly! DH changed jobs after 9 years through a transfer/relocation and then 1 1/2 years later changed companies...it is a lot to take in - or should I say fill out ~~~ forms! Should be pretty smooth...the gov't should have the process pretty streamlined for you to get everyone covered. Now a new car...hmmm we lost a company car too :headache: I so feel your pain! Good luck ~ that is a stinkin' process. I feel the need to tell you to breathe :cool2: (isn't that crazy coming from me...I am anxious as a cat on a hot tin roof :crazy2:...and no job adjustments to deal with) Just know you have good vibes coming your way :goodvibes
You ROCK! keep things going :cheer2:...you have several to keep up with there girlie...not sure how you do it! YOU NEED THIS VACATION...well earned and much deserved! to you!
