9/10/2012 ~ 6 WONDERful nights ~ VC to L.A.

Yes! It's very much like that.....
Getting ahold of her is crazy! I finally got it all paid off!!!

Now can someone tell me about getting on the Disney website to fill put info for our cruise... I have no idea what the AAA agent ment by this?
She said I can log on and book excisions and other fun things..
Also I can print our tickets for the cruise?

Please help I'm sooo confused :confused3

Congrats on having the cruise all paid!!

She didn't even give you the DCL web address? Wow...
It's http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/
You will see a tab on the left that says 'get reservation'. If this is your first cruise, you won't be able to book excursions yet (that's 75 days before your cruise date), but you will certainly be able to see what the excursions are. There are helpful videos about checking in and what information you'll need to have on hand when you do so.
I'm absolutely no expert, but I hope this helps some.

As the previous poster said, go to the DCL>com site, you can do all your on line reservations for excursions and Palo there, As far as tickets, there are none, There are forms to fill in online, it;s pretty simple. A few weeks before the cruise, you wil get a booklet from DCL, it will have your luggage tags in it, these are most importants, it's how your bags get to your room. THere will be a signature page in the book, but you can print it off from the website, and other than the form at the port stating you have not been sick in the last 24 to 48 hours, you will be on board and on the way to a great cruise!

thank you VERY much! :worship:
i wasnt able to book anything yet like you said, but it was nice to everything in one place for me to look at it...
i cant wait untill the 27th when i look at all the activites..

will they only have listed Palo, day care, and cruise excursions?
or will they have listed what movies will be playing and when the meet and greets are?

sorry for all the questions..
Im a BIG planner when it comes to the parks.. I plan our trips down to the ride order and how long it should take us to get from piont A to point B..
( or cammando style for those who read the park boards)

This cruise is driving me insane, b/c i can't plan it like that..
my mom keeps reminding me this is to be a relaxing cruise.. but i think she has forgotten how hard it is to travel with kids, let alone a 10mo. old who has VERY BAD separation issuse..

any and all advice is VERY welcome.. thank you

Palo, Port Adventures, Day Care hours will be online
Meet and Greets are listed in the daily navigators, with who, when and where.
Movies, you will need to call DCL about a week or two in advance to get that information.

You CAN NOT cruise commando, you will miss too much and be exausted, Each evening, and when you check in at the terminal, you will be given the daily Navigator. It will have all the planned activites listed a well as time and place. It is sorted by kids, teens, and adults. (I think). Some activities will over lap, so you will have to pick and choose. For example, a movie may start when your kids are doing a special activity, however, the movie guise will be in your room day one and will show all the movies, for the cruise. If yuou miss one at 11am, it will probably repeat at 3 the next day. Your kids may decide they only want to be in the Mickey Pool and splash areaBe aware that non potty trained are not allowed in any pool, but there is a really nice splash area for them.

So not stress about it. It should be relaxing. Deep breath!!!

I just booked Palo's, guess the midnight is east coast, lucky for me I'm west and it's only 9 pm! all the times were available for brunch, I thought the selection would be limited, glad it wasn't. Now the trip seems more real.

Oh yeah, I got Palo at sunset the last night of the cruise! :yay:

OK, so for us time challenged, what time is that? OMP, the sun sets here about 8:45 right now (east coast). I will have to look at the weather channel site, how exciting!

There is a thread over on CC that talks about the recent experience off the Wonder. PAX were told to pack up and disembark. They were escorted by DCL to a holding area. Ship was cleared and they re-boarded to a different stateroom and it was all good. They continued on the Alaska voyage, stopping in Seattle after having boarded the NB b2b in LA.

In other words, it worked.

I am just passing information along from CC. You can read it there in the Disney Cruise forum. This came directly from a PAX on the second leg of the B2B.

Thanks -- I was able to locate the thread over on Cruise Critic. From my perspective it looks like the room switch in Vancouver did the "magic" trick? Not surprising DCL didn't notify B2B passengers of the need to switch cabins until two weeks prior to sailing. That was the same timeframe we were notified by Holland America that we couldn't do the B2B they had booked us on. It seems about two weeks out is when the Customs officials review manifests of both sailings and act accordingly.

It will be interesting to see if this changing cabins thing paves the way for future B2Bs with other cruise lines in this territory.

Can you book both a brunch and dinner reservation on line for Palo, or just one total per booking?

I believe you can do both but haven't tried, the web site looks like you could actually do one per day for the entire cruise but I wouldn't want to miss all the regular dining venues. Let us know if you can book both.

If available. you may book one dinner and one brunch. Although there is dinner each night, the sytem will not let you book more than one of each.

WOW ... What a mess!

So, I missed "opening night" for my booking but tried last night and had nothing but problems. Web site under maintenance. So, I tried again this morning and it took me over an hour but I finally persevered ... I think.

I should have one Palo brunch and one Palo dinner.

I say should because the reservation system kept blowing up and throwing "500" errors. Sometimes it would say nothing is available then it would show me something was available but show no times and when it would finally show times, it wouldn't add to my cart. Then, when it would get added to the cart and I would click confirm ... It would blow up on that.

Finally I show the reservations as confirmed on my activity calendar.

I have a 1pm port arrival time. I could have selected an earlier time but the train doesnt arrive at the station until 11:30 I think. Even though we will be really close, I wanted to be sure we had time to get transportation, etc.

can someone explain this to me?
you have to book an arrival time? we are on Disney trans. for the airpoort, so do i have to book an arrival time?

We had that very same situation last year for our Alaska trip and it was OUTSTANDING!

We almost didn't want to book Palo again this trip because we don't think it can ever be topped.

Yes, when you do your online check in, you will pick a time. It doesn't matter tho, because you will be on a bus and you will walk into the terminal when the bus gets there, no waiting, no being late. THey had to institute the satggeres arrival times because so many people were driving or taking private hires and getting to the terminal at 10am, that there was some over crowding issues, especially with the number of passengers on the Dream and Fantasy. Contrary to what many here said, the world did not end, people still got on the ship and managed to get to the area to change their dining rotation, to get Palo and Spa reservations. No one's life was ruined, no one's cruise was the worst.

Well....my one and only cruise on the Dream, we were so late boarding that we did not get to have lunch on boarding day in one of the restaurants. Made it to the counter service in time to grab a hot dog for my nieces and then have the gate closed down on me before I could have anything. Did not try to get Palo that trip, but would not have made it if I did. So...although I agree in principle...it was not nearly as pleasant as my previous cruises by having the late boarding.

I went to an on-line almanac and figured where the ship would be (between SF and LA) and calculated sunset at 7:00PM. At my stage in life, I prefer the term "eccentric" over my children's use of the term "spaz." Nonetheless, I booked Palo for sunset. (In any event, I'm much more of a geek than a spaz, everyone knows that!) :cool2:

What everyone up to?
I'm just waiting for the 27th.. Can't wait to get all our info filled out and times booked! :coffee:
One step closer to our trip...

Do anyone hear the DCA had 45,000 people there on farthers day!!!

I hope it's not to bad when we get there... Anyone else planning on going to Disneyland after the cruise?

I think it's time to figure where to stay in Vancouver, other than that not much else to do.

I grew up in SF although haven't lived there for many decades, just want to do the spontaneous tourist stuff when we're there. I'll definitely go to the Disney Family Museum and see what else strikes me at the moment.

I'm flying home right after the cruise, I was in DL for 3 days in Feb/March (the 29th when it was open all night, but I left by 8:30 pm). Received an email from Alaska air today, my flight time is now 2 pm instead of 12:30, guess I better love hanging out in airports.
