On a lighter note. I was sent this link to youtube from a friend & it is really very funny. It's from an interview on the Ellen show with a grandma in Texas via telephone if you haven't seen it, it's worth watching.

I've never posted a link on the DIS before so I hope I did this right. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to stop by and see what was new! And say Hello:wave2: to Mary Rose! I wish I could post more on this thread, but it moves faster than Palo reservations at midnight!:p

As I'm sure you already know, all the really relevant "what's new" is on the first page, everything else is just jump in when you can . . . it's not so fast during the day, but during the evening/night hours it really does pick up!

I don't have sound on my computer here at work. (the sound card is busted, and it's not "in the budget" to get me a new computer...:sad2: )

But I'll watch it when I get home! :thumbsup2

....jordan just turned 10....:sad1: ,i used to let her sleep on my
chest...and whispered don't dare grow up..but did she listened?
do any of our kids listen? ....noooo!

she sorta, have this adventure streak in her....& we almost got into
alot trouble flying back home last oct., (after our cruise). during takeoff,
she reacted as if on r&r coaster...and though i was tried to set a limit
on her enthusiasm, others seating near us, only encouraged her.
that turned out to be a mistake....cause as we went to land, the
gear came down in 2 phases, making a loud thump...and true to form,
she screamed out.."we're all going to die!"...well those encouraging
her didn't think this was so funny as the first time...[ you could see
their :scared: ]....but i reminded them "loudly", why we don't encourage
her at home...:lmao:

favorite songs?...i'm no fool by j.c., mickey mouse club march, by the
mousketeers, the merry mousketeers by :rolleyes1 , a rollin' stone,
by cubby & karen, and of course, the leprechaun with a flute, by
darlene.

yep, iam :sad1: to say, all we got left are these "old babies"..and
when they see that  look in my eyes..they're gone just like

* yep, lisa..i do look a lil'better after combing my hair..but i'm still the beast!

Absolutely precious! But then, I AM partial to Jordans! (mine being almost 17...she grew up on me in spite of it, too)
Who did she get that beautiful hair from?

Okay so before my multi-quoting to catch up... and btw it isn't that bad this time. There wasn't as many pages as usual!... I wanted to just update after my dr appt today.
The dr feels it's Bell's palsy and she thinks it's stress related. Now I don't know of any stress I have had lately other than normal every day stress but I am a worrier by nature... so who knows. I also have fluids behind my right ear but she said that's a symptom, not a cause -because the ear isn't infected and she said not moving my face on that side will cause fluids not to drain as they should. Something like that. So the pain in my ear area is caused by fluids which are built up BECAUSE of the paralysis on that side- not an infection causing the paralysis- atleast not an ear infection.
She said my tonsils were huge but they always are... I should have had those taken out when I was a child... a long long time ago.
She gave me a shot of steroids or something like that and some viral medication Rx... and I'm supposed to take some B12 vitamins also... and we'll go from here to see if that helps or if it just runs it's course. :confused3 I guess I just have to live with it and pray it will go away. it's not easy though... it's hard to blink my right eye all the way, it's hurting by my ear, everything I eat or drink or even my saliva makes me want to HURL because it's like I have a mouth full of sea (salt) water all the time... I can't even drink from a straw to try to bypass tasting liquids because I can't get my lips to work right! Eating and talking I have to be careful because on the right side my lips get in the way- similar to if you are numbed top/bottom on one side to get work done on you teeth yanno?
ugh I just hope and pray it goes away soon. :sad1:

Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts and prayers. I do appreciate it.

Now on to the multi-quotes...
She was trying for the pirate: post of 42000.
Aha! so she was going for that huh...

Yep, all ketched up and now it's time for bed.

GOOD NIGHT SHELLEY!!!!
Awww... thanks Stacey!

Only because I am afraid you'll strangle me and hide my body in a broom closet. :rotfl:

:wizard:
What? I'm almost never violent. :confused3 pirate:

Julie...we are definitely interested as well. There will be 4 adults and 2 kids in our travelling party.
Definitely interested as well- 2 adults, 1 almost adult (ie: almost as tall as me, so it's kinda hard to call her a kid!), 2 children. ;)

Okay, so if I every win the lottery I'll send Graeter's ice cream to everyone that participates in this thread......one of these days I need to buy a lottery ticket....
Oh so generous... just ice cream? I want a free cruise! :rotfl:

Yeah, that will be for burning the heretics in green pirate shirts . . . or perhaps any pirate not in black?
OMG y'all are going to burn me?

yikes!! hope you can get right in and have it fixed!!!!!:)

had that happen last year - luckily mine didn't hurt either. Now I am paranoid about it happening again and hurting this time - I found a broken tooth repair kit at Tarjay and even took it on the cruise last year, so I would be prepared!!!!:)
Interesting. I had no idea such kits existed!

Hilarious! I do love Ellen... I haven't watched her show in ages though...

/
Hmmmm...Am I lagging or is no one posting?!?!? :confused3

So did you even TRY to explain it, or did y ou just :sad2: ?

Nah, I didn't bother trying to explain.

And I especially didn't explain to the store clerk who gave me the 80% when ringing up my stuff! :thumbsup2

Speaking of the 80's...I have a bunch of songs on my IPod from a CD collection called "Living In Oblivion: Songs of the 80's" :lmao: :lmao:

Such as:
I Wanna Be a Cowboy - Boys Don't Cry
Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung
Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners
Under the Milky Way - The Church
Tenderness - General Public
Mexican Radio - Wall of Voodoo
Promises, Promises - Naked Eyes

And so many, many more...:rotfl:

OMG, I'm old....:scared1: :lmao: :lmao:

I have Living in Oblivion vol 2 - not sure why I never got vol 1......ie "Tenderness" - I used to work with Dave Wakeling....well, at the same place......:)

Okay...all this talk about Fabrizio/Fabricio.....here's one for the ladies.

There is a guy on the Magic...I think....could be the Wonder. He works in the fitness center and has to be THE best looking specimen I have ever seen. Tall, dark hair.....anyone know his name??

Yes, I'm old, yes, I'm married...but I'm NOT dead!

What's even sadder is that I can remember most of the videos for them way back when MTV showed music videos. I love the bar-b-queing iguana scene from Mexican Radio.

I used to love MTV back then!!!:) ...sigh, the good ole days!!!!:rotfl:

Diane....that was sooooo funny!

Well, good, Shelley! At least you saw the doctor, you're not dying, and you're on your way to doing something about it. I haven't ever had that happen, so I can't begin to understand how it feels, so I won't even try to go there. But....a lot of us have had one thing or another that felt like it was never going to get better, so I can promise you that it will! We're here whenever you want to complain or carry on about it. You're entitled to.

Glad to hear they're giving you somewhat encouraging news...I wanted to add that my brother was given a medication that has worked really well for him, and the reason I held off on telling you about it is because I cannot remember the name of it! :rotfl:
But it's turned out to be dual purpose for him. It was prescribed to him to control symptoms of Bell's Palsy, but as a side effect, it also has anti-depressant qualities. So it has helped in the reduction of stress, which I guess is helping with the BP. (if that makes sense) When I can find out the name of it I will let you know.

Hilarious! I do love Ellen... I haven't watched her show in ages though...

I haven't watched her in ages either. I used to watch the replays on Oxygen, but I haven't in forever. She's great! :thumbsup2

OMG!!!! That's classic!! I wanna go shopping with YOU!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
