Okay...all this talk about Fabrizio/Fabricio.....here's one for the ladies.

There is a guy on the Magic...I think....could be the Wonder. He works in the fitness center and has to be THE best looking specimen I have ever seen. Tall, dark hair.....anyone know his name??

Yes, I'm old, yes, I'm married...but I'm NOT dead!

YES his name is

ANDREW DEREK and lives in ENGLAND! and if he wasnt so modest he would be perfect.

Hmmm, doesn't sound familiar but I will be on the Magic 7-night Western beginning March 24, and if I see him I'll tell him you said hi . . .

If you see him, you'll be speechless. :faint: A fine human specimen, he is.
ALMOST as good looking as Andy!;) just wanted to see if you were paying attention, Andy......

I'll let you know when I get back if I managed to keep my composure (he'd better be there after all this build up!).

Re: the sad state of math education.

Here's something that happened last week in my office. There are two of us here with 4 degrees between us (summa & magna cum laude, no less) & here is a question we still don't know the answer to:

If you collected 50 widgets last year, and this year you start all over again and collect 150 widget - what is the percentage of the increase?

200% ??? 150% ??? 300% ????

Now in our defense, our degrees are in subjects like political communication, public administration and marketing, so no matter what we decide the answer is, we'll be able to rationalize and defend it to the death in a public debate!

I believe there are two types of people: math/science & history/English.Guess which category I fall into.

FOUR types of people: math/science, history/English/letters, artistic (hi honey :wave2:) and then those who just don't have a freakin' clue!

200% - the first fifty don't count - that brings you even. The next fifty is 100% and the second fifty brings it to 200%

Oh sure! Make it all easy to explain and understand!

:rotfl:

Suppose a quantity has an initial value of x1, and then increases or decreases to a final value of x2.

The percent change, D%, is calculated by finding the difference x2 - x1 (subtracting the initial value from the final value), then dividing the result of this subtraction by x1 (the initial value), and finally multiplying by 100. Expressed as a formula:

D% = 100 (x2 - x1) / x1

If x2 > x1 (the final value is larger than the initial value, representing an increase in the variable quantity), then D% is a positive number.

If x2 < x1 (the final value is smaller than the initial value, representing a decrease), then D% is a negative number.

'Afternoon Everyone :surfweb:

Just checking in for some quick ketchup before my hair appt.
