OMG!! Is it REALLY almost 1pm?!?!!? :scared1:

Where oh where did the morning go?!?!?

...Oh yeah...I've been DISing...:lmao:

Hi Andrew! So -- after finding out that you wil be driven around Naples (if I recall correctly from our other thread) by the dreamily-named

Fabrizio

please tell us the first names of your other drivers! Somehow I see Fabrizio showing up with no shirt on, muscles rippling -- is this what you would were hoping for?

Down girl, I think either I or most likley Fabrizo has a stalker, a lady following me around the threads and good old Fabrizo, (with no shirt on, muscles rippling ) glad to confirm HE is not my type. But an italian maiden well........

Another one from The DCL picture of the day,

Now doesnt anyone else wonder what that boy is doing up against that wall, both hands down?????????

The restroom is just around the corner!

Well, maybe your wife can enjoy the view of Fabrizio and you will be lucky enough to get a molto bella female guide at one of your other stops . . .

If Fabrizio ends up to be less than I had imagined, I just don't want to know, OK?

I just have to say because I just realized yesterday (thanks to someone here on the thread) that this weekend starts Daylight Savings Time...(see how much I pay attention?!?! :lmao: )
So anyhow, WHY CAN'T THEY BEGIN DST ON LIKE A FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT 3?!?!?!

Why MUST they take an hour away from my weekend?!?!? Now, when DST ends, I'm all for sticking that on the weekend!! :thumbsup2
But don't take an hour away from my weekend! No fair!! :sad2:

I will e.mail Claudio for you and ask for a picture of Him! if its good maybe you would like to come along and leave your kids in the club?

We will be ready to rock out on 80's night...or was that 90's?...going to Google....it was 1984...so yes, we will be ready to rock out on 80's night...

Why are those 2 decades such a blur???

It probably wan't the :cake:

I'm good at the 80's-90's divide since I started college in 1990.
Gen X slacker - that's me! OK, not really the slacker part. I never lived in my parents basement. Heck, I haven't lived with my parents since I was 17. But I love the Gen X slacker music :) (bummer, no smilie in flannel)

I can usually peg a song down to a 3 year period. It is one of the advantages of moving as much as we do. I can usually remember which state I was in when a song was popular!

In either case (scientist, engineer) it doesn't matter about the math...that's what the computers are for! :thumbsup2 LOL I had a coworker who used MATLAB to help her figure out her monthly budget for utility bills, loans etc. :sad2: Friggin' $20,000+ computational system and she uses it to total her utility bills! pirate:

Our tax dollars at work...

No, actually my free-flowing plans in Italia should leave me free to enjoy the masculine scenery without the help of a guide. I'll just have to call all the really handsome ones "Fabrizio" in my mind . . .

I might be able to use it to my advantage when asking directions, too -- "Scuzi -- Fabrizio? No? Ah, mi dispiace!"

Re: the sad state of math education.

Here's something that happened last week in my office. There are two of us here with 4 degrees between us (summa & magna cum laude, no less) & here is a question we still don't know the answer to:

If you collected 50 widgets last year, and this year you start all over again and collect 150 widget - what is the percentage of the increase?

200% ??? 150% ??? 300% ????

Now in our defense, our degrees are in subjects like political communication, public administration and marketing, so no matter what we decide the answer is, we'll be able to rationalize and defend it to the death in a public debate!

I believe there are two types of people: math/science & history/English.
Guess which category I fall into.

I actually read you post as the following first time, shows just changing one word what really was ment:-

I think the maths in English schools is getting worse and I am 125% sure about that.

Now that reading came from YOUR imagination, not what I had said . . .

Shelly you and your family are beautiful. Don't ever say you are ugly again. What's great about this thread I am learning is that we get to know the true person and accept them for what they are before we meet them. Getting to know people on this tread is a great lesson. You accept people based on their character and inner beauty!

What an awesome sentiment. The only reason my husband and I are together (19 years, 17 married), is because we spent the first six months of our "relationship" sending letters back and forth electronically because he got sent to Texas on a work assignment. This was before email. Our company had a tool to send files back and forth and we would fill them full of fanciful notes, jokes, and sometimes real feelings. We are both too shy to ever have said anything face-to-face. By the time we actually saw each other again, we knew it was "forever". BBB, I pray for your health to improve and the strength to keep it together while you heal...

So did you even TRY to explain it, or did you just :sad2: ?

Regarding the 50% off and then an additional 30%. I always think this gimmick is amusing since most of the department stores that have pricing like this have marked up the items 50% anyway....so the discount is even less. I do most of my shopping at TJ Maxx, Ross, Wal-Mart, and Target. At least I know what a bargain is when their stuff goes on sale.

Oh yeah.....I like :cake: too!

200% - the first fifty don't count - that brings you even. The next fifty is 100% and the second fifty brings it to 200%
