Hello everyone! I just wanted to stop by and see what was new! And say Hello to Mary Rose! I wish I could post more on this thread, but it moves faster than Palo reservations at midnight!

As I'm sure you already know, all the really relevant "what's new" is on the first page, everything else is just jump in when you can . . . it's not so fast during the day, but during the evening/night hours it really does pick up!

I think the maths in English schools is getting worse and I am 125% sure about that.

200% - the first fifty don't count - that brings you even. The next fifty is 100% and the second fifty brings it to 200%

chest...and whispered don't dare grow up..but did she listened?
do any of our kids listen? ....noooo!

she sorta, have this adventure streak in her....& we almost got into
alot trouble flying back home last oct., (after our cruise). during takeoff,
she reacted as if on r&r coaster...and though i was tried to set a limit
on her enthusiasm, others seating near us, only encouraged her.
that turned out to be a mistake....cause as we went to land, the
gear came down in 2 phases, making a loud thump...and true to form,
she screamed out.."we're all going to die!"...well those encouraging
her didn't think this was so funny as the first time...[ you could see
their ]....but i reminded them "loudly", why we don't encourage
her at home...

favorite songs?...i'm no fool by j.c., mickey mouse club march, by the
mousketeers, the merry mousketeers by , a rollin' stone,
by cubby & karen, and of course, the leprechaun with a flute, by
darlene.

Okay so before my multi-quoting to catch up... and btw it isn't that bad this time. There wasn't as many pages as usual!... I wanted to just update after my dr appt today.
The dr feels it's Bell's palsy and she thinks it's stress related. Now I don't know of any stress I have had lately other than normal every day stress but I am a worrier by nature... so who knows. I also have fluids behind my right ear but she said that's a symptom, not a cause -because the ear isn't infected and she said not moving my face on that side will cause fluids not to drain as they should. Something like that. So the pain in my ear area is caused by fluids which are built up BECAUSE of the paralysis on that side- not an infection causing the paralysis- atleast not an ear infection.
She said my tonsils were huge but they always are... I should have had those taken out when I was a child... a long long time ago.
She gave me a shot of steroids or something like that and some viral medication Rx... and I'm supposed to take some B12 vitamins also... and we'll go from here to see if that helps or if it just runs it's course. I guess I just have to live with it and pray it will go away. it's not easy though... it's hard to blink my right eye all the way, it's hurting by my ear, everything I eat or drink or even my saliva makes me want to HURL because it's like I have a mouth full of sea (salt) water all the time... I can't even drink from a straw to try to bypass tasting liquids because I can't get my lips to work right! Eating and talking I have to be careful because on the right side my lips get in the way- similar to if you are numbed top/bottom on one side to get work done on you teeth yanno?
ugh I just hope and pray it goes away soon.

had that happen last year - luckily mine didn't hurt either. Now I am paranoid about it happening again and hurting this time - I found a broken tooth repair kit at Tarjay and even took it on the cruise last year, so I would be prepared!!!!

Well, good, Shelley! At least you saw the doctor, you're not dying, and you're on your way to doing something about it. I haven't ever had that happen, so I can't begin to understand how it feels, so I won't even try to go there. But....a lot of us have had one thing or another that felt like it was never going to get better, so I can promise you that it will! We're here whenever you want to complain or carry on about it. You're entitled to.

Glad to hear they're giving you somewhat encouraging news...I wanted to add that my brother was given a medication that has worked really well for him, and the reason I held off on telling you about it is because I cannot remember the name of it!
But it's turned out to be dual purpose for him. It was prescribed to him to control symptoms of Bell's Palsy, but as a side effect, it also has anti-depressant qualities. So it has helped in the reduction of stress, which I guess is helping with the BP. (if that makes sense) When I can find out the name of it I will let you know.
