W T F!?!?!?!?!?! :furious:There wouldn't be a need for security...they would have had to call the police and a coroner!!!!!

You know, I've had people fawn over DS as an infant because he was (is ;)) a beautiful boy...can't tell you the number of times we've heard: "Ohhhhhh she is sooooo pretty!" :headache:

I once had a lady who was enthralled with his wild, curly hair but NEVER have I heard of someone trying to snip of some hair for color-matching!!?!?!

You won't hurt me when I admire him, will you?? :scared:

This reminds me of what happened to us on our cruise - we were also at the buffet and DS thought we were behind him and left, when DH and I noticed we went right out but couldn't find him. I stayed at a table right outside the door and DH went to look for him - about 10 minutes later DS comes from the other side and says, "There you are!" I made him stay at the table so I could go and find DH. Needless to say, that was a scarry 20 minutes or so. We usually set up meeting areas at the park but hadn't thought of it for the cruise. Next time, we are setting a specific area, just in case.

Ketchup time, Interesting story, I know how it feels.

So, why are people WLE??? Yes, I know what WLE is, I'm just curious why they haven't been moved. I booked with a late dinner seating - just wanted to get the whole process over and done with. Once we seriously talked about it, we wanted to change to early dinner. After finding the thread and seeing WLE for so many, I figured I had no chance but when I asked, they changed me right away, no problems. Maybe it has to do with the size of our group??? :confused3 Just found it weird. Especially when I knew there were others who were waiting for early.

For whatever reason DCL is not moving people from the waitlist to early dining without you asking - I went through a big thing with them because our ressie is with a TA and they weren't going to do it because the TA didn't request it even though the had when the ressie was made, etc, etc.

Hi folks, I'm back. I was away for business last week ... and then actually had to work now that I'm back in the office ;) I've read the summaries and am trying to read "live" stuff too.

Today's life drama will include explaining to my youngest DS that the hamster we brought home on Saturday was ill and did not make it through the night :sad2:

So sorry! :grouphug:

I Want to Go Everywhere...

... and Never Come Back!!!
I watched The Doctor all through college. I still have a lot of the episodes on VHS. I have the DVDs from the two newseasons(in US from Sci-Fi) on DVD. Good Stuff. Can't wait til the Summer

We got a bill from our first hospital for the cost of the delivery twice. We called and asked them for the second baby and the account manager laughed and fixed it.

We also received a bill from the hospital for the circumcision that was performed by our pediatrician. A first they tried to claim this was some generic charge before we beat them into submission.

I'll second the Graco combo stroller/car seat. Really wished we'd had it with first two kids, but we were cheap. Living in Chicago, it was great to go from car to stroller without unpacking the baby. One thing, though, the stroller doesn't fit very well on WDW trams.
Yes, but it has great storage and is really manuverable. You need that with all the supplies for the first year or so...

Welcome welcome to all worldwide who'ers! You have good taste!

PS the Daleks take on New York in the next series starting April here.

Yes they are!!! When my DD was about a year old we were shopping in Wal-Mart. A lady came out of nowhere and started making a fuss over my daughter and the color of her hair. (She was close to being a baldy but had the cutest curls in the back.) Any way, she kept getting closer and started reaching into her purse. I stepped between her and DD in time to see that she was getting out a pair of scissors!:scared1: She thought that she could just snip a tress of her hair to take to her hairdresser to match.:scared1: I said that she had to be *$&(#*$& kidding me and she still pressed closer to DD. :furious: At this point, my hands were clenched into fists and I was screaming for security to come and get her away from us before an ambulance was needed. Even while being escorted away by the security guard she was still blabbing about what the big deal was.:sad2:

OM F'n G!!!!!

Seriously, I don't know if I could have restrained myself long enough for security to come take her away!!!! :scared1:  :scared1:

I cannot imagine some of these stories you all have shared!! I think I might end up being one of those "crazy moms" who ends up in trouble over trying to protect her child!! I don't know if I could be held accountable for what I would do to an idiot like that!!! :headache:

I have to agree on most of your points - except I must confess to enjoying the novelty of riding trains to get about. I've had the good fortune to have ridden the mass transit trains in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Paris, London, Chicago, NYC, Boston and our emerging metro in LA (plus others I've probably forgotten). It is really interesting and a way of life for countless millions of folks around the globe. OUR way of life - living in a car - must seem remote and foreign to those folks.

I agree Crash...I too think it would be fun to take the train/subway to get about town. Now, if I had to deal with it on a daily basis....maybe I'd change my mind...I don't know.

I've never been to NYC, but it's definitely on my list of places I really want to visit. I want to experience the whole big city deal there....see a Broadway show....the works! I've been to Chicago a few times, and I really love that city!

JOKE FOR ALL
