My wife lost our DS10 on the last cruise (the same one who got lost at Disney World). He got on an elevator and my wife and other son got on a different elevator b/c DS10 was not paying attention. My wife went to Oceaneer's Club, where they were going to pickup my daughter, hoping that DS10 had figured it out and gone there after he was not waiting by the elevators.

I was in our stateroom packing and heard a knock on the door. DS10 asked me if Mom was there. I said 'you're supposed to be with her' and he told me the story and I marched him down to the OC to hook up. My wife had been hoping he was smart enough to head to the rooms.

Heck, I could never find anyone in my family on our last cruise!!:rotfl2:

Good one, but slight correction in our humble opinions.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

THE BIG ISLAND too close to the coast of Europe,

We tell them whats best, they ignore us, spend too much money and then finally do it our way!

True enough (said without sarcasm) . . .

I believe Rob & Amber are going to be targeted. Either hit with a yield or get paired up with some other team at an intersection and it will blow their game.

I am betting on Eric & Danielle simply because they are going to slip through as the team no one considers a threat.

Ah, but that is what I love about TAM!:thumbsup2 It is really hard to target a team. It has been tried, as and far as I remember, has always failed. The teams on this season do not seem to have the animosity the teams on their original season did.

Thanks....I'm going to check that out!

Good for you.......I had a similar situation once at Lowes. Dh had been out of town for a couple of weeks, so I had been doing the single parent thing. I was stressed and tired. I had my ds who was 5 at the time and my dd who was 1. She was sitting in the front of the cart properly strapped in. Ds was walking beside me. I was picking out a hose, and turned my attention away from the cart for a moment. Ds proceeded to hop on the cart (after being told repeatedly NOT to...) and the cart came down right on top of him, with dd in it. After I pulled the cart back up and made sure they were both okay, I placed my hands on ds's shoulders (NOT shaking him, mind you....just making sure I had his complete attention) and ask him "what were you thinking?! You could have injured yourself and your sister!!" I NEVER spanked him or called him stupid or anything like that....A man came over and yelled at me and said "I'm not going to let you talk to this boy like that!" And he continued to scold me. I was shoked! Now, if I had been calling my son names or striking him, I could have understood. But I did nothing of the sort. We have never even done those things in the privacy of our home. I certainly wouldn't do that in public. I actually started crying in the store. Not one of my proudest moments....

:sad2:

Let me give you a  :flower3:

Is it possible that we have reached a 'reasonable' pace?? I got a full night sleep and only had a few pages of ketchup!

My favorite WDW stranger-kid thing was that many, umm helpful people, seem to forget that it is possible to live close to WDW! We lived about 1.5 hours from WDW from the time DS8 was born until DS6 was a year old. They are 21months apart, so both were pretty little at the time. We went to WDW a lot - with the complete understanding that if they were having a bad day, etc., we'd head home.

I don't think an hour would go by that we wouldn't hear from someone about how crazy/mean/cruel we were for bringing kids that little to WDW! Sure, there is no way I would have schlepped across the country for 2 weeks in a hotel on our family's Disney tripofoalifetime, but a few hours on Sat. was just fine. People just didn't seem to realize that our 'trip' to WDW wasn't much different than them spending the afternoon at the mall!

Imagine that!! Taking little ones to the World!!!

the u haul was 700.00 :scared1: i wanted to take a 5 day cruise out of jacksonville just me and DH but now it looks like im gonna have to drive both ways so now i wont have time for the cruise :sad2:

So go on a 3 day!:thumbsup2

And this is a bad thing??????

On my first DCL cruise I was with a party of 13 that included DB, DS and their in-laws. Now my Sister's in-laws are the nicest people in the world. My brother's MIL is a sweetheart. His FIL, well... by the middle of the week we were playing hide from Bill. We were all tired of listening to him complain about everything and anything. He was seriously p****d off that when we went for dinner, our servers had the kids drinks already on the table along with my Cosmo.

Hi folks, I'm back. I was away for business last week ... and then actually had to work now that I'm back in the office ;) I've read the summaries and am trying to read "live" stuff too.

Today's life drama will include explaining to my youngest DS that the hamster we brought home on Saturday was ill and did not make it through the night :sad2:

Awwwww.... :grouphug:

Welcome back!:yay:

Thanks....I'm going to check that out!

I heard a woman tell a story recently about her experience at a Wal-Mart. She has 6 children, (at the time all ranging in age from 7 years down to infant-age.)
One day, she had to take her children to Wal-Mart to get work done on her minivan. (she actually takes them shopping by herself all the time...not sure how she does it, but anyhow...) She had the youngest in the baby carrier in the cart, and the others were all walking along-side the cart. Her oldest DS, (age 7) has a chemical imbalance, which causes some pretty severe behavioral issues. He is medicated for it, and usually does really well. But on this particular day, I'm not sure if he missed a dose, or his dosage was just off for some reason. But he started having a fit in the middle of Wal-Mart. He was kicking and screaming and throwing things at his brothers and sisters. She quickly restrained him (when he has these fits, she has to physically restrain him, arms and legs, to keep him from hurting himself and others. SO you can imagine that it's not a pretty sight.)
She was already in tears, because she knew that she needed to get her children out of there. But because she had to hold her son, and the others were too small to carry the baby, she was stuck.
Well, folks just walked on by, some hissing at her, some just shaking their heads in digust. But one woman actually had the nerve to walk by, stop for an instant, and say loudly "SOME parents just need to learn proper discipline!" :headache:
So FINALLY a Wal-Mart employee came to her side and asked if she needed help. She asked the employee to check to make sure the van was ready, and to please help her get the children out of the store.
I cannot imagine already having that feeling of helplessness, and then to have idiots stare and sneer at you like you're some sort of monster or circus act!! :sad2:
She said that from that day on, if her DS's meds aren't all properly balanced, they stay home!!!

Yes a few people feel they have to comment even though they do not know the facts! That was so awlful for her.

If you look at the actual statistics rather than everyone's perception, you will see that New York City is actually safer than where most of the other people on the Dis live . . .

Yep! When I was in NY, I never once felt unsafe, even walking at 12:30 am looking for something to eat!! :lmao: :lmao:

AND, my hometown, St. Louis, was recently named the most dangerous city in the country...:lmao: which seems really funny to me, because I live in the heart of the city, and I don't feel unsafe living there. Go figure... :confused3

Iwalked around NY and enjoyed it as if it was London and I love both!

Don't joke about rugby during the 6 Nations Tournament. Darth is in deep concentration. :lmao:

Hey, I think that he should be very happy that I even have the word rugby in my vocabulary at this point. I knew absolutely nothing about it before he started posting on this thread. :thumbsup2

:sad2: the NERVE ... remind me not to mention that I took my youngest to the World for a week when he was only 8 weeks old. :scared1: He's 7 now and that was the EASIEST we have ever had it with that child on vacation :rotfl2:
