This will be known as my :dance3: Triple Decker Dipper :dance3: with the three visits to Castaway Cay within a 6 day period. :dance3:

Andy,

Maybe you can just get them to leave you on CC when we go on 8/31 and then pick you up on the second stop of the 5 nighter. That would give you almost a week on the island. :thumbsup2

Okay so I haven't read through all of today's posts yet, but I wanted to let you know that I emailed my TA (All Seasons) last night and told them that I heard on the DIS that people were getting their cabin assignments and could I have mine too PLEASE? I got a phone call today (which I thought was nice) and they told me that people are starting to get their cabin assignments, but since I want a 6 with an 11 across the hall, ours hasn't been assigned yet.

Just figured I mention it for whatever it's worth.

???? Um Paris is in France.....oh I see you mean Paris and London....sorry can't help.....we'll have to wait for Andrew or one of our other UK contingent to show up.

Yes, Paris is an hour ahead of London. It is 12:40AM Saturday in London right now, 1:40AM in Paris. (I have conference call colleagues in both places, so that's how I know).

Have you ever seen behind the scenes in a cruise kitchen? That stuff so mass produced, when you order, they just go grab a plate off the stack of that particular entree...They try to do their best to be accomodating, but remember, they've got 20 or so other people to serve too. That's why special requests need to go through your head waiter.

That's what I thought!
But then I read here recently on this thread that apparently other servers were more accomodating on this situation. Weird.

I may have to stick around now for the 16K. But my luck won't be with me. I get one and then lose one. So if this holds true I will miss the 16K.

Especially with another wench here now!:lmao:

Our first dinner (AP, first night) we had horrendous waitstaff. Seriously. Then we figured out we weren't seated with the DIS'ers we were supposed to be linked to so they rearranged by the next dinner and had us "close" to the DIS'ers (best they could do I suppose- but we ended up in the corners sometimes with curtains seperating us/etc.) but the waitstaff there were VERY VERY NICE. However, I do think it has to be said that they aren't extremely flexible on what you can order. Sure you can order multiples of things but it's such a waste of food if say for instance your child only wants ONE item off a child plate- they bring out the entire plate with everything on it. Even if you insist that your child does not want/will not eat/etc. whatever else is on the plate- they still bring it all out. So if they want one thing off one child's plate on the menu and one thing off the other- they'll bring out both plates of various foods and then you get the joy of them eating off seperate plates or putting them on one single plate yourself. I don't understand why they can't be more flexible on that.

Gosh, we have never had that problem. DS will NOT touch a plate that has vegies on it and he doesn't care for fries so we just told our servers that every night he would have a plate of chicken fingers for dinner. That is all they brought. We were in Lumiere's our first night and I asked for some of the banana bread from PC. We ended up getting a big basket of it at our table EVERY SINGLE NIGHT of the cruise! :thumbsup2 The last few nights they weren't making it in PC so I know that our head server had it made special for us. He delivered it himself & it was nice & warm those nights. :cloud9:

All of Europe is in the same time zone.

Lurking.

Here's another thing that was new this year. (At least I don't remember it from last year) They offered three showings of most of the live performances. 3:00 pm, 6:15 pm, and 8:30 pm for Twice Charmed. 2:15 pm, 6:15 pm, and 8:30 pm for The Golden Mickeys. 2:00 pm, 6:15 pm and 8:30 pm for Disney Dreams. Just 6:15 pm and 8:30 pm for Remember the Magic though. Anyone know when they started doing that? I think it's a fantastic idea for those with small children. See the show before dinner, have dinner, and then bed time at 8:00 pm instead of trying to keep them awake to see the late show. :thumbsup2

I love it because if we see the afternoon show, we didn't have to get ready for dinner as early when in late dining!:thumbsup2

We have a 6 with 11 across the hall so that might be why ours isn't assigned yet either. But if you ask me, you'd think they'd be giving stateroom assignments to those with more than one room that need to be adjoined, connected, across the hall and such BEFORE filling up the rooms with stateroom assignments to others! I mean seriously, logistically that would be a wiser move.

I'm not European -- but all of France is on the same time zone and France and England are one hour different.

Cool - :thumbsup2 thanks - was wondering if there was one - can't imagine all that $ for a 20 minute flight!

BTW - is anyone else experiene any problems typing? Don't know if its my keyboard or my AOL acting up. Had to get off and go via my internet explorer.

Maybe they're able to customize it because we've always had the second seating. They aren't as rushed to get everyone out and clean up before the next seating.

Our bathroom was out of commission this past fall - it was bad, no shower and limited plumbing. Needless to say I was all over getting that thing finished ASAP! But it did turn our beautiful - Cindrella Ballgown Blue and white.

Sounds like it turned out beautifully Lorri!
