8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 2

The coffee this morning is great, now on my second cup. Somehow I've gotten another sinus infection, haven't had one in 18 months and now B2B the last three weeks.

Flights have come down some $257 but it's an afternoon flight and we won't get in till 8pm. Was hoping to get out west by noon, but another $1,800 is not worth it. The kids will be disappointed as they wanted to take in a ball game.

Presently 42 going up to 47 here in Very Cold Central Florida.. we are to be in the low 20's tonight and to cover up our plants with blankets.. : the weather people are telling us to get coats not jackets out..

Time to get another day underway, Winter Break is over, so I have to get Angelina moving so she can get ready or school, then I need to get mysellf ready for work. Baby, it's outside this morning!!!

Debi--loved the pic of you and Harley, reminds me of Midnight and how he would climb up on the couch with me and go to sleep. It's so hard to believe he will be gone two years this coming Friday.............

This pic is the wallpaper on my laptop, I sure do miss my buddy buddy.

Angelina is laying on the couch next to Midnight, she put that cup on his head to see how long he would lay there with it on his head, the cup stayed there for about 30 minutes until he finally moved.

Back to school and work today.

Wow, did not really mean to have a group named after me. I am just your average obsessive compulsive plan ahead kind a guy. I know we have a great group.

From what I have read the Flying Fishbone is the best restuarant to watch the sunset. Feet in the sand on the beach. Doubt if they let us show up for a couple of beers and take pictures.

I'm sure you're right about 50 of us showing up for a beer, but WOW! That place looks great. The tables in the sand remind me of an anniversary dinner that we had in Key West years ago - only in KW, the tables wer=e much further apart, so it was a lot like having the beach to ourselves. I like the menu also.

I found this really neat* Disney "coloring book" the other night,thought I could color some of the pictures and use them for door magnets.* Well,"you-know-who" took it upon himself to supervise.....

I've been thinking (don't hurt yourself Deb!)....I don't really relish the thought of spending $70.00 to have my hair done in the spa and I'm not very skilled at doing hair and make-up. If I were to bring my curling iron and posssibly some make-up, is there any wench that would be willing to help me out? Maybe we could have our version of a "Princess Party". I'll volunteer our stateroom.

Count me in on that. Shame there is no bibbity oppity boutique on board otherwise I would have booked (especially as it runs at roughly half that cost wise!)

For anyone who has ever needed a good belly roll laugh- you gotta read this trip report from the CC boards. It, thankfully, was not a DCL ship but on NCL. I was crying I was laughing so hard. You gotta read this. Kinda long but soooo worth it.

I will trade you. Presently 01 going up to 07 with a wind chill of -14 below zero!!! We have 6 inches of new snow on the ground!! I do hope that no damages are done to all the beautiful palnts and tress in Florida. As they say in Chicago, if you don't like the weather stay for a few days. We will be going up to a high of 45 by Sunday!!

Here's a long one to start off the new year...


A guy walks into a pub with a t-shirt that says "Pirates are stupid for 3 reasons!" He walks up to the bar, orders an ale. and sits down. He no more than gets his quaff when a smelly old sot comes up to him and says, "Aaargh, thar, matey! What's that yer shirt be sayin' thar?"

The guy looks around, looks the man straight in the eyes (well, in his one good eye, anyway), and says "Reason number 1 -- Pirates can't read!" Then he turns around to enjoy his beverage.

Not used to this sort of disrespect, the surly gent takes his hooked arm, lays it aggressively on the man's shoulder, and slowly says, "What's that ye be sayin' thar, sonny-boy?"

The guy looks around again, looks his aggressor square in the eye this time, and enunciates, "Rea-son num-ber 2 -- Pirates can't hear!" And again, he turns around to face the bar.

Well, by this time, the old codger has had enough. He backs up, pulls his sword, and growls, "Aaaaargh, ye bilge rat, that be enuff of yer sass! Stand up and fight, ye lubber, yer soon to be acquainted with Davy Jones, his-self!"

With that, the guy stands up, pulls his pistol, and shoots the pirate dead through his one good eye. He drops his head as he watches him fall, sighs, and says, "Reason #3 -- You pirates are constantly bringing swords to gunfights!"
