Good morning. Enjoy your holiday:goodvibes
I am working today got to get my year end closed out. We leave for vacation tomorrow morning so I probably won't get a chance to post again as
Alan and Adam aren't packed. So tons of last minute things to get done. I'll share some pictures of Costa Rica when we get back. I still haven't decided if I am bringing my laptop, but I should. I bought Alan a really small camcorder for Chhristmas that you just download to the computer it only holds an hour of video--guess I just talked myself into it.

May 2008 bring health and happiness.:goodvibes

Have a great trip Paula!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Where is your adventure :lmao: Ok, so I had up the DCL site schedule and the piratezone schedule while booking :rotfl2:

Looks like our Pirate adventure is shaping up nicely.

Have mentioned going but I could not find confirmation.

Stace X 5 ? justmestace

Monica X 2 ? got2travel

Paula X 3 ? PBader

Celestine X 4 ? Celestine

Wendy X 2 ?Smeecanada

Cheryl X 2 ? Micmse2003

Let me know if I am missing anyone.

Yes Roger...still unconfirmed!!!:rolleyes1 I still like the open bar part but debating if I can overcome what is in the water!!:headache: Heard over the radio..... 300 people got stung by jellyfish on a beach off Brazil. :scared:

I'm very hesitant to book the Jolly Pirates. I just can't book this far in advance unless I know I can cancel. I know they said it would not be a problem if the ship didn't make the port. But my issue is that I don't know if I will make it. I really won't know for sure if I'm sailing until I make final payment in May.

Don't even talk like that!!!

Happened to see this in the WSJ and thought it would apply to our group. I know we will be traveling with probably 3 cameras, 1 digicam and 1 laptop. I alway carry back-up batteries but may have to rethink this.

Thanks Roger for the info!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I heard something about the extra batteries not being allowed.:confused3 Maybe we should have this info somewhere on the web site. :rolleyes1 The batteries for our mini-camcorder are very expensive!!! I would hate to leave them at the airport.:sad2:

We're doing late -- I doubt if we even want to do early.... We've always done late.

We always do late dining too!!!! :thumbsup2 Hopefully our fellow DISers will leave me enough lobster for my late dining!!!:rolleyes1

I have updated some of the info on the Arbua page and will be playing with the balance of the website in the upcoming weeks

Please send info, suggestions, thoughts, magical musings, etc. to the webmaster address.:3dglasses

Thanks for the heads up! We'll have to split up our spare batteries between the carry-ons and hope for the best.

What do you think the chances of that are? :confused3 :rotfl:

Here's the dress we just ordered for DW as an early birthday present.

She tried it on at the store and it looked really nice, but the size was a little off, so we ordered one in. I think it will look nice on the semi-formal night.

She tried on some other really fancy dresses that looked nice too. So if we don't find anything else, I know we can always go back there.

Very nice! You did well Mike! :thumbsup2

Where is the best beach for watching sunsets in Aruba?

Is there a good one by the ship with a bar?

I just got an e-mail from Jolly Pirates. Officially, their tickets are non-refundable:scared1:

Well then lets just hope there is still room for us later this summer. I won't be booking until I've made final payment on the cruise.

I am trying to find the annual MiL Bad Christmas thread from jeafl. I can find previous years but cannot find the one from 2007. Anyone have any idea how to search for it?

Coral

She took anti sea sick tablets before the tender boats in the Med last year and that seemed to work, but I avoid any sea excursions to be on the safe side, Cabo seems to be the only issue this cruise.

We did a pirate cruise in Clearwater Florida that was ok, as it stayed in the inland channels most of the time, and it was calm.

I understand your caution completely. Not worth risking it when there are so many fun things to do:thumbsup2

We are going to Brazil in 2009. I'll have to remember to pack the Safe Sea:rolleyes:

We always do late dining too!!!! :thumbsup2 Hopefully our fellow DISers will leave me enough lobster for my late dining!!!:rolleyes1

You can have mine, I'm not a huge fan of lobster:confused3 Of course my ST may be stealing mine (he eats everything:rolleyes: )

I wonder if they were fully booked and someone needed to cancel if they would let you switch ressies so the person canceling doesn't lose their money:confused3 They're not checking IDs upon boarding, right:rolleyes1

greetings and HAPPY NEW YEAR..

well the Illini lost:sad1: but there is always next year...

I almost bought that brown dress today that Deb was looking at , only in navy blue, but it wasn't on sale and the largest size they had was a 10. I'm pretty sure I could fit into it by the cruise:rolleyes1 , but I decided not to risk it. I'll use the dress buying as a reward for when I lose some weight:goodvibes

I was a little concerned how low cut these dresses were:scared1: And what is with the zippers:confused3 Even when I wasn't wearing one, moving the zipper up or down was a huge pain:headache: I have visions of me flagging down some female in the hallway to help zip me up:lmao:

Must be a trick to zipping. I tried to help DW and couldn't get the zipper to budge. the little lady who worked there walked over and zipped it right up. Remind me to pack the vice grips for formal night.
