Got a double quote!!!! I am not too sure how good the new servers are???

Couldn't possibly be operator error there CM?

From what I have read the Flying Fishbone is the best restuarant to watch the sunset. Feet in the sand on the beach. Doubt if they let us show up for a couple of beers and take pictures. :confused3

Looking at Google Earth, the beaches just north of the docking area seem to have nice views also.

Yes Roger...still unconfirmed!!!:rolleyes1 I still like the open bar part but debating if I can overcome what is in the water!!:headache: Heard over the radio..... 300 people got stung by jellyfish on a beach off Brazil. :scared:

Do you remember that Jon was stung by jellyfish at every single stop on the 10 nt???

He grew up in LA (going to the beach, etc...) and we've gone on lots of beach vacations....but, this was the first time he was ever stung and this time he was stung at every port! LOL! :rotfl: :rotfl:

How about you and I go on a tour and everyone else can snorkel? ;) I'll even bring some alcohol for you! :rotfl:

I am trying to find the annual MiL Bad Christmas thread from jeafl. I can find previous years but cannot find the one from 2007. Anyone have any idea how to search for it?

Coral

She posted the first week or two of December. Good Luck!

You are better than me. Coming from CST I was MISERABLE having late dinner. I drink a lot of iced tea with dinner ( we are from TX after all) and if it was not the caffeine keeping me up all night, it was the frequent bathroom trips.
I did enjoy going to the shows 1st though.

I know that I would not enjoy the shows if I had to see them after dinner -- I think I would probably fall asleep from sitting still so long! LOL!

We'll see! Since this is the first time we've done a cruise from the West coast --- we may be too tired for late dining! Who knows! LOL!

I will trade you. Presently 01 going up to 07 with a wind chill of -14 below zero!!!:scared1: We have 6 inches of new snow on the ground!! I do hope that no damages are done to all the beautiful palnts and tress in Florida. As they say in Chicago, if you don't like the weather stay for a few days.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: We will be going up to a high of 45 by Sunday!!:worship:

We will be in the 70's this weekend...... ;) I KNOW you want to visit! LOL!

Hey Crew - I was offline for a few days back there, just doing a little ketchup...

Do you want us to PM you with a count of how many pieces we'll be ordering?

An onboard party sounds like a fair (and fun!) way to handle it if we bump up to a cheaper price level. I wouldn't want the hassle of trying to refund the difference either.

I know the official colors will be black for embarkation and white for the PC crossing, but we'll probably only get the white ones and wear them both days. Hope that's not cause for walkin' the plank.

Please do not PM me, or post on the board how many items you'll be ordering. I'll collect up the pre-sale counts closer to the actual ordering window. Then we'll set prices from that.

Glad you like the idea of a party. Hopefully, we'll get the presale count right and it won't be a problem.

No cause for walking the plank. Do what works for you. We're an open minded bunch of Pirates. :)

I'll ask about clear transfer medium. This is pretty new technology and I'm not certain how many options there are. A clear medium would certainly solve the problem.

If there is no clear medium then we can look into trimming it closer to the edge of the artwork. Cutting out all the letters will be a pain, and will certainly add to the cost. Not for the cutting, but for pulling out all the extra - that's all done by hand.

Just got off the phone with our printer... No clear transfer medium. White only. And cutting right next to the artwork is a non-starter. But - there looks to be a solution. That is, just back fill the artwork with black. That way, when the transfer is applied, the edges blend into the shirt color - like what's happening with the white.

He's going to see if his guy can make the changes. If not - we'll be relying on Todd's new Mac.

Clear transfer medium would definitely make the black and red look better. However, if that isn't an option, I really like the detail you get with these samples and would rather stick with them

I want a tote bag too.

I like the detail too. It's even better in person than on the picture. Really amazing.

The tote bag was something I did on a whim for my Secret Mickey - but it others want them - I'll look for a wholesale source and add them to the pillow cases as "other stuff" to order.

Esteri...

... the shirts and image transfer work looks great. You have my nod on these! What was the cost structure again.. or did I miss it already?

The cost structure. The cost structure. Here's what's going on there. I've been looking into what different ordering services charge, and by the time you add on 10% for eBay, 3% for PayPal, and nearly 8% sales tax - you're looking at a 20% cost increase just to cover the costs of "doing business". Yikes!

Now, I recognize that many here are cost sensitive - particularly if you're looking at two shirts per person. That adds up. So, I'm going to set this up to reduce the overall cost = more shirts sold = lower cost for everyone.

I'm looking at setting up our own shopping cart, or database to bypass eBay. Folks will have the option of sending me a money order, or paying with PayPal/credit card with a 3% additional fee. There's no getting around the sales tax - we're stuck with that one.

As well, providing the Capt'n doesn't have a huge problem with it - I'll offer a front only option on the t-shirts. I've had a couple of parents let me know they feel the back artwork is a little too adult for their young child. Besides - front only reduces the cost of the shirt by $4.70 - for those that are cost sensitive that may be the difference between a full set of two shirts, or only getting one.

OK - all that said - here are the current estimates for the different items... This does NOT include shipping. I figure I can cram about 6-8 items into a flat rate Priority Shipping box. So, figure $9.50 in shipping for every 6-8 items. ($8.95 for postage and $0.55 for tape, labels, etc.) Looks like $36 in shipping for our friends in the UK and New Zealand. Yikes. For our international crewmates - I'll deliver in CA before the cruise if you don't want it shipped to you.

Here goes - the periods are in to help with the spacing - these are estimates with NO costs included for selling them (eBay or PayPal) - to be safe, you should figure the actual price you pay will be slightly increased from this. These prices are the cost to us plus sales tax only. Every item we get counts toward the discount - even pillowcases and tote bags. Our printer supplies the t-shirts and tank tops. I have to supply everything else.

.....................................>50.......>201........>301.........>401
White, Adult, two sided....19.12 .... 17.50 ..... 15.39 ....... 14.34

Pillowcases .................... 13.65 .... 12.03 .... 11.01 ....... 10.49
This is for groups of 12 as the best price I've found on a 200 count pillowcase is by the dozen. Continuing to look for a source.

Tote Bags (book bag size).. 12.65 .... 11.03 .... 10.01 ....... 9.49
These are estimates - Ive found a good source, but haven't completely closed on the prices for shipping them to me.

I'm comfortable we can reach the 200 level (second column) not certain about the levels beyond that. That's what the presale count will be all about.

Again - please don't PM me the number of items you are interested in - I'm not collecting the presale count yet. Look for that in April.

If you have any suggestions or requests - please DO PM me. Or post it here.

Also - Does anyone have any experience with shopping carts and database access via the internet? I've been working on this and have run into a couple of roadblocks. I'd sure appreciate some advice from an older and wiser head - or at least more experienced! :worship: Please PM me. I promise I won't ask you to do any work - this is something I want to learn how to do.

Hi Liz--our windchill factor right now is at 20* and we could have some sn*w showers today as well........:cold:

OK, now I really have to get a move on it, see y'all later..........

Lucky you! Our wind chill factor this morning was 18 below! Tomorrow temps will be below zero here :cold:

1) Tell us something about your spouse we probably don't know...?
He sang with in the Dayton Opera chorus.

2) Have you considered any new Years' resolutions? If so, would you like to share them?
To eat closer to the earth. Started doing that and lost 7 pounds without "trying"!

3) When you proposed or were proposed to last - what was passing through your mind silently? Anything in particular worth sharing?
Is he asking me to marry him? Dh never did actually use the "marry" word.

4) If you have a PET... what did he or she do the last time they were "naughty"?
Taiko stole a couple of ornaments off the xmas tree. Our tree definitely looks top heavy now. He lusts after the one made from pheasant feathers - but it's at the very top.

5) When was the last time you were sick more or less? What did you comedown with?
Don't get sick very often. A few months back - a light cold that lasted two days.

6) When was the last time you got a ticket (moving violation, infraction or parking)
Uh. Hum. 1985? Speeding through, Kansas - was it?

7) And for thefinal question posed in 2007 ... by popular demand.... Tell us something about you we (probably) don't know... !
I made medical history when I was born - yeup - you actually know a "first" baby. First child born to a mother with an artifical heart valve. Got may 15 minutes of fame when I was 3-days old. Didn't even get to enjoy it. Pthththt. :upsidedow

The coffee this morning is great, now on my second cup. Somehow I've gotten another sinus infection, haven't had one in 18 months and now B2B the last three weeks.

Flights have come down some $257 but it's an afternoon flight and we won't get in till 8pm. Was hoping to get out west by noon, but another $1,800 is not worth it. The kids will be disappointed as they wanted to take in a ball game. :surfweb:

I got a sinus infection day before christmas and I still have not got over it yet. Cheryl keeps telling me I have a cold, but I disagree.

John

If you have any suggestions or requests - please DO PM me. Or post it here.

One suggestion would be to move the artwork down about a inch or so on the shirts (On both the adult and kid versions it looks way to far up the torso)

A request of mine might be to have a version that has full screened back and smaller logo on front (like most normal tee's look.)

PS ---I do agree with your previous assessment that we need a more fitting babydoll type cami for the wenches.
