Well, I spoke with AST and gave them the other $1,000 so we are good to go for Wednesday. We had a fake date booked with $250 per so I had to "cough up" another grand for the repo.r

We are looking for a cat 6; the girls definitley want a verandah and who am I go argue. We are hopeful that the initial price point is under 10k and something closer to 8 - 9k.

So the rest is to just sit back and wait and see what the prices are going to be. It is like waiting for the opening bell on Wall Street. I just hope the ensuing mass hysteria isn't as bad. :goodvibes

Yup...

... ta keep up here it's gonna take a stiff running pace!

I guess I should be careful to stay away from Lil'Grumps' postings, eh?

Oh and did I mention Capt Tom's comments from the 1/13 Eastern Castaway Club bash? He said there are about 2700 passengers on a full Magic sailing. Of those, about 900 are typically Castaway Club members (returning sailors). However on the repo cruises last summer, the number was more like 1500 Castaway Club members. From all the discussion here and elsewhere on the DISboards, I wonder that the number of Castaway Club members for this cruise might be record breaking!!

I think alot of them are waiting till wednesday ...Once they have there room I thinks they be feeling a little more Piratey..

pirate:

Definately. If I steal a good priced cabin on Wednesday, I'll feel more "piratey" and may post more actively (at least until the initial rush wears off and the reality of nearly an 18 month wait sets in). Kind of in that wait and see mode, which drives the wife nuts. I'm the type that will analyze the cost/trip details to death, she'd just go book it.

I vote for the way your wife thinks. Book it now!! Figure out how to pay for it later. I've got a little stash of $$ here and a stash of $$ there- Put all my little bits and pieces together and -viola- it's paid for.

Last 2005 Repo the Casterway club party was the whole of the goofy/family pool area and was so packed people were on the deck above as well.

Possiblly the same this ime, but possibly fwer as 1/ people have done before most ports 2/ school clash. 3/ Price

Closer to 8 is what we're really hoping for. Did anyone see on the IC thread that 2 adults cost 5200.00 in a Cat. 5 for the 8/3/08 cruise? It sounds like it was a sincere quote & since the repo is only suppose to be about 100.00 more per person....maybe we're not too far off? I know groundhogs....but I keep hoping! "I'm hoping & wishing & dreamin'....." :rolleyes1

That will be great value? My PC trip in 005 Cat 4 family of four was $7.9k, The Med 11 night £13k, same details, so if the repo is cheaper than Med all the better.

The Med trip does have a high number of ports, so port charges etc are high.
