Mines a curry!

I'd love a curry but since a knee injury and operation, I've put on a lot of weight so I'm on a diet.

We're off to WDW in August with he free DDP so I need to lose some weight to take full advantage.

Andrew - quick question - when are you thinking of flying out next year prior to the cruise, and are you still thinking of internal flights or direct to LA ?

David

From folks who have been on the other repo cruises, how many formal / semi-formal nights are there for dinner? Did folks conform to the dinner attire recommendations? I was sorely disappointed on our 1/13 at the number of boys and men in shorts at dinner - even on FORMAL NIGHT! Maybe I am just picking . . . though I tend to be a non-conformist . . .ummmmm . . .

If I remember correctly, there were two Formal Nights and two Semi-Formal Nights on the 14 day repo. Of course, Andrew was on the EB, I'm sure he can fill you in better than I.

Two formal last time most dressed up, and I mean most! Semi formal Ithink was 2/3 rest cruise casual, most of the formal types on all sea days etc PC crossing.

I wasn't on the other repo but I heard it was 2 & 2. DH bought a tux for last year's cruise so I'm sure he'll get a lot of wear out of it for this one. I even bought a tux for my son, because I wanted him to match his Dad. Unfortunately it looks like I'll be buying him a new one for 08.

I've had the operation but it didn't go that well.

We intend doing the same flights as you. I'm determined to pay for ours with Tesco Clubcard points AND I intend going to LA in Premium Economy as all that time would drive me scatty. :headache:

Good idea it will aim for PE

No Diane, not me.......just read my last post again, I've been busy with household chores and a sick DD.

I have a $$ limit to what I can spend for the Repo Cruise, if the quote comes in higher than that, then it just wasn't meant for us to go. Just trying to hold me breath until sometime on Wednesday!!!

DD is headed for the bathroom at top speed, this doesn't look good folks.

I don't know why...

... but your remarks remind me of how I was when they were talking about the MED cruises. First, we had reserved for a MEd sailing on Radisson 1 year prior - but cancelled it as we were trying for a family reunion cruise of sorts... and that became undone. SO... when the Disney MED sailings emerged we hoped we could rearrange the family into sailing Disney. We were unsuccessful because it was an absolute requirement that the ship originate or conclude in Rome. Flying in ot hopping a train was not an option. There really were a lot of complicating limitations.

At any rate, we held off of considering the DCL MED voyages out of consideration for joining the family with a coordinated gathering in Europe.

BUT - I also thought the prices seemed a bit stiff. When really, they were not all that stiff. AND one thing I think I might have missed - was that the transatlantic repo sailings might have been pretty good deals. Except - that I waved off consideration of these because I did not want to think about the one way euro to LA airfare.

So - I have to run for the day - just got a last minute reminder that we have a family lunch / dinner this afternoon - gotta run

You all be good today! :rolleyes1

Try to keep it under 500 new postsa from this point will ya'?!

Hey There Everyone!

We're going to try to book the EB Repo on Wednesday too!

HERE IS A MYSTERY TO HELP PASS THE TIME TILL WED.! (Sorry, only some of you will get it)

I'm here in disguise under my DH's ID.

Can you guess who I might be?

CLUE NO. 1

I am a Cruisin' Castaway....................

I like the idea of DH purchasing a tux. Where did your find one? Is there a difference between a "winter" tux and a "summer" tux?

I, too, would like to get, at least, suits, if not tuxes for my boys. However one will be 14 then and the other 12. I'll be lucky if I can purchase them the week before the cruise and they still fit . .. LOL. We bought them suits for our cruise last November/December. At their grandmother's funeral in early March, they barely fit. They are growing quickly now . . .

Off to grout my shiny glass wall tiles in my kitchen. DH is out for the afternoon and I might get this project finished in peace :)

Happy posting!

Nope, my wife is away for the weekend, she won't be back until around 5pm on Sunday. She isn't near any computers either.

I'm off to the pharmacy, our doctor called in some meds for my DD, her fever went back up, her throat is so sore she can't swallow.

Will return later.
