8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 2

Hi Everyone!

We're on board... We're on board... We're on board!!!!!

(OK - I still gotta pay the deposit, but that's a sure thing as DH wants to go too.)

I heard the cruise sold out - so I feel fortunate to have snagged a cabin. The big problem now is how are we going to keep this secret from the boys (DS5 and DS9) for a year and a half!! Argh!

I don't know about you but I'm going to have a terrible time keeping up with everyone's name, faces, etc. For an Alaska cruise we went on I built a website of all the cruisers. I'd be willing to do the same for us. Here's the URL - check it out and let me know: http://www.graenit.com/cruise05.htm

Well, gotta run - I'm on a business trip and have to get downstairs for a meeting. Will try to catch up on - well maybe the last 10 pages or so - this weekend.

I've seen this question a couple of times from various posters - when do we think the passporters for these cruises wil be published? According to the passporter message boards, Dave Marx posted that they will be published in January 2008.

So after we have already done our research. LOL!

The Captain will sail around the storms. The last repo had an adjustment from a pacific hurricane I believe. Worst case....we are "stuck" on the ship a few more days.

Oh Lisa -----better not mention this to Dale quite yet as he is still in working provider mode of First it is 7 days ......then to 14 days......then to 15 days ......now 20?

My ressie with DU also says the Wonder, and there were a few typos throughout - my thought is that they were so busy getting these done that things that normally would have been caught made it through the system.

Whoever asked about the post count thing...just go to the main cruise meets board and click on the number of posts next to our thread name. That will make a window pop up and show it to you.

For those of you just joining us, once the dust settles here we will start having people research the various ports and that info will be posted on our group website. I believe that someone is looking into hiring a bus or busses to take us from DL to the port.

That actually isn't helping right now. Todd took care of both of our resies and we only have main dining because we had it on our original resie. They were not able to get it. I will be linking dining for the group to the 6 pm rotation of main dining and last time was able to get everyone WLE switched over at 90 days to be with us. I will be contacting DCL dining next week to let her know that I will be doing this again & confirm that everything is being done the same way.

Lisa: does this explain why my DCL res says main while my DU res says Second? I was going to ask DU about it once things calmed down a bit from yesterday, but it sounds like I don't have to worry about it with you linking us! Thanks!!!!

I can see it now - the three of us standing on the pier watching the ship sail without us because it wasn't the Wonder... !

Also, we are not going on the Panama Canal EastBound Repo but the Panamal Canal EastBound Repo - think that makes a diff?

I don't have a CLUE about where to fly in, don't know anything about the resorts, transportation to the port (what port? I have no idea yet LOL), etc. Lots to learn before this cruise!

Welcome, I think that we have plenty of time to sort out these things. Several of us are from southern California and will be here to help with many of the details. Several airports to choose from in the area. More on that when its time. Port of Los Angeles is really in San Pedro. We will give you the complete run down on the parks and how to make the most of them.
