Me either, I haven't read any other thread today. I did look at some of the titles on the main cruise board. I think I'm going to head over to the one where everyone is posting what they were quoted.

May I ask what company you usually use? Also, is there a timeframe when insurance has to be added to get the pre-existing covered? If my parents decide to go they will definitely need something that covers pre-existing.

Usually it is 14 days after booking but in this case we can't get it with most companies yet. Have them try Travel Guard. Depending what they need the coverage for that may be the best one anyway. That was the ONLY company who would insure my MIL when we tried to get her to come with us a few years ago. She has had stage 4 colon cancer for the past 5 years and has been constantly receiving treatment. It was a bit more expensive, but in the end it was worth it because her chemo was extended & she couldn't go with us.

I've seen this question a couple of times from various posters - when do we think the passporters for these cruises wil be published? According to the passporter message boards, Dave Marx posted that they will be published in January 2008.

I am at the moment in 5502 but hope to move up to deck 7 forward when rooms start opening up.

By now you would have received a call from IC, Linda to be exact............

She has apologized and will get back to you as to what DCL is willing to do for all of us that got stuck in Call Waiting Limbo!

All I know is I am very dissappointed with DCL and after the Med Cruise this Summer, may be the last time I set foot on either Ship! Why they waited that long to disconnect us after they full well knew we weren't going to be talking to anybody, is beyond me!

And then trying to tell me that they did not anticipate the call volume that they received! OH PLEASE! We know they read the boards! Yes, I am bitter! I am lucky that I did go into work or else I would also be facing a day without pay! Now that would have added insult to injury!

I am waiting to here back from DCL to see what they are going to do "after they investigate timelines, etc.!

To say the least, yes I am bitter! I may now not be able to sail with friends, Old and new! Let's see if DCL does have a "Family Feel and a Heart!"

I am not being shown the Disney Love!

Janet, I really hope that DCL is able to do something to get you on this ship. I don't understand how they can identify you and the problem but at least they are acknowledging that there was a problem. for you!

OK, were on this cruise gty cat 11 & parents are cat 7 deck 5. I can't bear wading thro' 470 pages, so is this the official thread, or will this one close & a "real" one start with people actually on it rather than wishfully thinking (if you get my drift?)

Do you mean that you are wishfullying thinking that there will be another thread? LOL! What does it matter if we post the rest of the 120000 posts on this thread or another one? Most of us are still in this for the long haul. There are summaries on the first post of the thread. Jump right in & enjoy the ride!

Celestine,I think we will have a new site once everything has calmed down. I can't believe there was only 1 page to catch up with. Everyone must still be asleep or comatose from yesterdays ordeal!

We aren't going anywhere. There will be a website to consolidate our group info & then planning info as the cruise gets closer but it wont replace this thread.

OK, just got off the phone with my mom, she said by "HOOK or CROOK" she wants to remain a "WENCH" for this here cruise, even if she has to eat PB & J sandwiches for the next 18 months. I think she will make a mighty good wench!!!

Now you know I wouldn't let her do that!!!

We're expecting more snow this afternoon, so I better get my tail back to work and get them meters read.

If anyone else has small children in their group and weren't able to get main seating, let me know if you'd like to link your reservation to ours, since we were able to confirm the early dining. We have a four-year-old and seven-year-old, or at least that's how old they'll be next August.

That actually isn't helping right now. Todd took care of both of our resies and we only have main dining because we had it on our original resie. They were not able to get it. I will be linking dining for the group to the 6 pm rotation of main dining and last time was able to get everyone WLE switched over at 90 days to be with us. I will be contacting DCL dining next week to let her know that I will be doing this again & confirm that everything is being done the same way.

I got my official confirmation from DU overnight. I went in to check our ressie and it lists the Wonder as the ship ! I tried to check it on the DCL website but no matter which dob I put in it didn't work, so I called right at 8:00 and found out we were all born on Jan 1 - very nice CM fixed it all for me. So I guess we are officially offical with our GTY 6 - hoping for deck 5 (really liked 5122 on the Wonder in Dec.).

I called in sick today - feel worse than I did yesterday. I'll be checking in from time to time (gotta keep that post count up!)

The 2nd set of numbers is what you need to use for DCL's site. The first number is the DU group number.

Last night DH suddenly was concerned that we would be sailing during hurricane season. Being from SE Virginia and surviving Isabelle and numerous other annoying wind storms, he is kind of sensative about the subject. I'm open to suggestions for soothing his concerns.


Only 18 months to go .. . time will fly!

The Captain will sail around the storms. The last repo had an adjustment from a pacific hurricane I believe. Worst case....we are "stuck" on the ship a few more days.

For those of you just joining us, once the dust settles here we will start having people research the various ports and that info will be posted on our group website. I believe that someone is looking into hiring a bus or busses to take us from DL to the port.

You know I was thinking about this earlier when Jonesing was talking about getting clearance to go to Colombia and that as long as he wasn't going on to the Caymans it shouldn't be a problem. So Aruba is supposed to be next but after all it is hurricane season .........I wonder what his boss would say if we ended up calling on GC instead.

Maybe he should go ahead and get clearance just in case!
