I'm not sure why you're telling me this. My TA is supposed to have been trying to get me the rooms I wanted at 8:01am. I hope she did!

Because I read the other post about over $10k for the cat 6 and over $5k for the cat 11 and I think that's over my line. I'm not going to pay $15K for those 2 rooms. It was only $19k for one of the suites I read on another thread! over $15K for those 2 rooms is more than $7500 for each room if we'd done 2 back to back cruises- and it wasn't going to cost us near that much.

I'll just have to keep hoping they were able to get us what we wanted. Maybe that's WHY all the cat 6's were gone so soon- because DU and other TA's were booking them asap this morning?

Lisa, Is the perk to transfering the ressie to DU the OBC? I've never tried DU before. But they will except it today even though I booked with DCL online? Bear with me I'm confused!

Yes, just email them the info to the address I posted a page or so back. If the email is dated today, you will get the OBC with DU.

You know, it probably will be. Except that it WILL be a longer cruise. I think there are going to be TONS of disboard people on this cruise and therefore all having the same knowledge about when/how to book those things (major competition! It won't be like a large portion of the cruisers not knowing that stuff- yanno?) BUT the cruise is longer. meaning if it was 2 seperate back to back cruises- you'd have tons of people getting on the 2nd week that want those same things. I'm hoping that with it being a 15 night cruise that if everyone wants one night at Palo/etc. that it'll be alright- that it will be spread out along the cruise and not everyone wanting the exact same night.

Hoping for that anyway.

No, not lately. That was actually very scary. I couldn't believe how dark and deserted everything became so quickly. And then there was...."honey look, there are some flood lights" (Pleasure Island, I think), as I am driving, and almost went into a ditch.

I know, so many people from our cruise that I never even met. But, what a great cruise. I think one is going to be even better !!!!

Just for grins, took a look at the prices for the eastbound vs. westbound repo. Eastbound prices are going up faster than the west. At 9:30 Central, price for 3 adults was:

Cat 5 is 9714.22 on west, 10233.72 on east. Cat 6 is 9514.22 on west, 10033.72 on east. Cat 7 is 9154.22 on east, 8673.72 on west.

By comparison, when the website came up, a cat 5 was 9133.72, cat 6 was 8933.72, cat 7 was 8573.72 on the eastbound.

When we went in 2005, there were families that went both ways. I wish ...

At 10:30 the west bound was 7686.96 & the east bound was 9112.96 for 2A 2K in cat 8 no ins or transfers.

I'm not even worried about Palo's. I think I might try for a brunch or tea there but not dinner. Now the spa stuff, that's a different story - I want at least one spa ressie if not two!

The prices for excursions and Palo are set on the websire, they don't have a price range. But I guess anything is possible with DCL these days...

Excuse my silly question for the day...........Do you know if you transfer do you lose the DCL obc or do you get both? Guess it might be just wishful thinking on my part.
