Just popping in to say good morning....I know you all have been for it for hours now and I do see that some logos have popped up into some sigs....I've got a gazillion pages to get caught up on....I'll be back later.

Oh....no email from my TA yet....still crossing my fingers

Did you have to pay the current price or the tier you booked at originally? I am thinking about transferring to a 10 to lower our cost but if it is at the new price, it will be more than what we are paying for an 8. Hope this makes sense.

We don't know what the tiers where when we booked but we went from a porthole to a cat. 5.

I think I'm going to be sick - cat 6 is now over $10k - and I have not heard anything from anyone at DU.

Jeanne--
Have you thought about just booking online? 2 hours seems excessive. Do you still hear music?

Pixie dust for you

oh yeah, now it's highlights from the MK......

I didn't want to book online because I have an onboard ressie and didn't want to screw it up for everybody else by doublebooking......it looks like being nice got me nowhere!

Got in after 56 minutes. Total cost for 2A 1C in GTY 9 is $7001 w/o ins or transfers. About the same as if I had booked online at 5am w/o the discount, but at least I get the OBC.

Yeah.:jumping1:

Now to transfer to DU....

Here's my booking story:

We cruised on the 2005 Eastbound Repo. We loved it.
We decide to schedule the 2008 Eastbound Repo and see what the future holds in 2008.

I requested a quote through DU (and still hope they come through).
I did the selfish thing and also attempted to book via the website at 5am this morning. Everything went swimmingly initially. I was able to pick our first choice of 3 cabins; The prices were more than I wanted, but doable (cat 6 was $9,600 for two adults, one child, and one teenager and cat 11 for $4000 for two adults, no insurance. and no transfers.); I was able to get early seating; but when I tried to enter the deposit; it told me the cruise was full. This was at 5:45am. As I was about to enter my deposit, I was thinking I would send my DU TA a message to just skip me, because I was able to book on my own.....but "NO" suddenly my cabins weren't available and it all came crashng down. What a bust!

I opened another window and attempted to book a category 6...only guarantees available. I hemmed and hawed and finally decided to at least book cabins in case DU can't help us. Category 6 guarantee at $10,600...category 11 at $5000. And only late seating available. What a bummer. Hopefully DU can come through with the original prices (would save $3000 because we have two category 6s and one 11) and get us early seating. I'm not holding my breath.

If DU can come through, I think we'll commit. Otherwise, I'm wishy washy.

That's my story. I am current on this thread through page 362. Let's hope I have a reason to continue....

I was just thinking . . . if they are starting to run out of rooms . . .and we put a request to reserve a room while on board (1/13 Western), will our room be there when we call? Or will be just get what's left? They said they would call and never did . . . Did anyone else do this?

Oh, they just offered to let us leave a message and they would call us back . . .LOL. . .just like they would call us before 1/31 . ..

I wouldn't trust anything they said at this point.

I asked the CM about if I had to move the other two to the room with me if DH couldn't go. She said I would pay the going rate. She also said that if you make ANY changes after full payment is due (May 19,2008) there will be a service fee involved.

I'm in limbo- in suspense to find out from our TA what we were able to get.
What we wanted is similar to what you got- we want either a Cat 6 (or cat 7 if that isn't available) with a cat 11 across the hall (but I told her if it was a few rooms down that would be fine too- didn't have to be EXACTLY directly across the hall).
Do you mind sharing how much it end up costing you for the cat 6 and cat 11 and how many in each room (adults/children)? Cause the suspense is killing me. All I see is what is online NOW. Supposedly the TA is calling first thing- and I hope they get my reservation and I also hope they get it before the prices go up! But they aren't taking calls from 8-noon because of working on this with all their agents. They said to expect calls about it at noon. Can I wait that long to find out if we're on the cruise and what rooms and how much? I don't know! :scared1:

There were no 6s left at 9:10.

OMG!!!!, My TA made my ressie for May not AUGUST!!!!

Called and got voice mail now i gotta wait....

I hope that's NOT true... if so I am so sorry at this. Your TA owes you a rabbit out of the hat solution... and MORE!!! :headache:

Cat 6 is maxed out in price (at least for the first two paxs) so it won't go up any more. (apparently the case since 9am this morning).:sad2:
