Me too! We were also chosen for one of the DCL House Parties! Can't wait to share our photos & DVDs (and to make some BBCs, Konk Koolers & Palo's chocolate souffle') August is soooo far away!

Congratulations!

Congrats to you to Stephanie!

I was our group's official photographer for the Med cruise. Our friends' camera stopped working in Rome so everyone was saying "Tracy, get a picture of this!" "Tracy, get a picture of that!". You wouldn't believe how many pictures I have of the train in Villefranche :lmao: :lmao:

Actually, the thing I really like about the Nikon is the speed that it takes pictures at. Once I get it all figured out, it'll be great but some of the pictures I have of the fireworks were in such rapid succession that it makes you feel like you are there watching the fireworks all over again! Now if they were just a little clearer :rotfl: I'll figure it out soon. I took about 200 pictures at Illuminations (which if 10% are good, I'll be surprised) and about the same at MVMCP where many more are good. I'm learning :goodvibes

Tracey,

maybe you can be the official photographer of the TOAL next August. I'm very poor at photography. Most of the time we just leave our camera at home. I guess I'll have to take it for this trip though. I guess practice makes perfect.:)

Your pictures are wonderful!! Yal might just have talked me into it.
Of course it might be a replay of Pirates Night. I managed to change my camera to video to see Pirate Mickey coming across and then they turned off the lights for the fireworks and I could never find the setting I needed for fireworks. :sad2:
Does the D40X have the video option too? I have used mine in a pinch and am very surprised how well it worked.

Thank you! Unfortunately, the D40x does not have a video mode (unless I'm totally missing it).

I'm more than happy to share my photos. Photography is a little hobby of mine. I actually won a couple contests with my pictures before. I don't do so well with people though :lmao:

Here's one of my favorites from the last PC cruise (taken underwater at CC)

Is that a war declaration?

At least I'm indicted in good company!:lmao:

Ooooo... Nooooo Tom,

Remember, I was sort of saying I acknowledge being one of "those" who are generally considered a little "over the edge". And I was merely suggesting you 3 would make fine shipmates for joining our "over the edge" gathering.

Or - be it as it may - this may be interpreted any way ya like! We're all shipmates in the end on this wild little voyage, eh?

< wink with the one good eye >

At any rate I gotta run now. Gotta lunch meeting in a bit over an hour so there might be traffic ahead of me. Adios!

Safe travels to everyone in our little neighborhood here on the TOAL.

OK so 'Who' is the Doctors new assistant? She will help him step back in time on Christmas day, and her latest single is about 'two hearts'.

DOCTORKYLIE.jpg

Ooooo Boy!

I've always had a bit of a weakness for those "French Maid" type get-ups. OOoooo.... and on the Doctor's latest traveling partner - I must say it looks pretty cool. Unfortunately, I must confess I've not had much luck at copying/DVRing the episodes out here. I have been following Torchwood though.

AND ON ANOTHER NOTE...

PreCruise Secret Mickey/Minnie/Santas

ATTENTION!!!

Please try to get your final packages into the mail NOW

Or within the next 2 days to have a chance of making it by (or near) Christmas!

I have yet to send ours out too!

AND - If you have NOT revealed your identity yet - then it is entirely up to you how you want to handle it. I think it would be fun to guess and taunt your counterparts on this - Alas.... We could suggest folks try guessing a bit and posting after Christmas or something like that in the days /weeks following Christmas. Allowing for a few days in which things will arrive late due to the crush in shipping everything all over! It will however have to generally come to a grand revealing sometime in the first or 2nd week or so of January.... that is, assuming I have the blessing of my partner in running this : Tina (DOwnRiverMama) on this general plan.

OK... I gotta run now!

Wish the family well and have the best Christmas you can.

My first present was two CD-rom disc's, someone sent to me, not sure whats on it, its taking a long time to load, up to 25 million now!

In that case with the reward money ALL the drinks will be on you!

DW back in the Spring for 13 shows.

In that case with the reward money ALL the drinks will be on you!

Well I am sellling these on Ebay for £1m, highest bidder so far, Mr G Brown of Downing Street.

Stace....good to hear your DH is doing well and ready to get back to work.

We were chosen for one of the DCL House Parties!!

party: :jumping1: party: :jumping1: party:

Anyone want to come???? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Cheryl -- Samantha said that the guest room is for you and John! :thumbsup2

We had better be in the new house by then!!!! That's the address I used! :rotfl:

I wanna come!! :sad1: Are you going to do the "Online Thingy" too?

Congrats to all who got selected for the house party. Anyone in CA get it??? I'd be willing to be a guest. I didn't even apply.

Or for those in other areas, I've heard of an online option. I'm sure a hundred or so of your closest pirate friends would be willing to attend. pirate: Just let us know.

I dropped off our SM packages today. Not sure they will make it by Christmas, but hopefully our recievers will give us a pass. We've been a little preoccupied.

DS actually recieved the Thanksgiving package that was MIA. Supposedly the post office tried to deliver in Nov and it's been sitting there ever since. Even though we never got a notice. Then all of the sudden they tried to deliver yesterday, and although we were home all day long, they weren't able to deliver and left a notice. In any case, he received some PoTC pencils, stationary, a stuffed animal, a Borders gift card, a Crayola Color Explosion PoTC kit, Jelly Belly's and chocolates.

An Asian Cruise is a novel idea. :thumbsup2

I actually think its a really good possibility - with 3 Disney parks in fairly close proximity in two countries not to mention a booming cruise industry throughout all of Asia, I think Disney would be nuts to not be seriously considering it.

Well, maybe we will be neighbors! We are cat 11 GTY as well. My parents are coming along (also cat 11 GTY) so, I'm sure our kids will take turns staying with grandma and grandpa....that'll give us a little extra room!

We were upgraded to a cat 9 on our last cruise, stateroom #2000. As far forward as you can be! But I loved the location. Very quiet in my opinion, even though it is listed as a noisy room. My kids LOVED looking out the porthole every morning, but we have already prepared them NOT to expect an upgrade this time. It would be wonderful to recieve, but we're NOT expecting it. :goodvibes

We are also in a Cat11, the two other cruises we've been on we've been bumped up to a Cat9. We aren't expecting an upgrade this time at all though seeing there is a such a lot of demand for staterooms.

Besides I've heard that the rooms in the Cat11 and Cat12 are nice an dark so great for sleeping in which sounds like luxury!

Hey! We were in 2002 for the first week of our b-2-b! We were actually supposed to be there for both weeks but we were upgraded to a Cat. 6 for the second week. We absolutely LOVED 2002 and will book that location for any cruise we can.

That would be great if we ended up as neighbors! I know many prefer verandahs but we agreed that, although it is nice, we don't think it is worth the extra $$$ for us. We will continue to book a Cat. 9 from now on, except for this cruise when we are in the 11. I would pay the difference for a 9 if I could get one on Deck 2, but I would rather not have one on Deck 1 and would hate to spend the extra money for a 9 GTY and get stuck there. I am completely happy with the 11 and if we happen to get upgraded it will be icing on the cake!

I thought this to be true as well. The 1st cruise I went on (Royal Caribbean) we had an inside room. I slept SSSOOOO well. Now, it was more difficult for me to wake up since there were no nature cues.
The next 2 cruises we had a balcony and did enjoy it. On this cruise we got a cat 10 so we will be back inside. I had heard the hint of turning on the TV to the court for natural light but when I tried it they had the court lights on so bright I could not sleep.
Another advantage to me being in an inside room is although I love cruising, I prefer to not think that cruising involves being in a boat over WATER :scared1: I hate to even drive over a bridge. So inside I can have the benefit of being on the ship- but not being constantly reminded.;)
oh yea, it is also a WHOLE lot cheaper. My parents are in a cat 5 and for the 2 of them it is about $8500.00 and the 4 of us in cat 10 is only about $6,000.00. More $ for fun stuff!

Monica, sending out continued prayers for you and your family for all that you have been through. Good luck keeping a 12 YO still!

I love to hear about customs and traditions from other religions and cultures. She has a great way of looking at things!

On a sad note, my grandmother passed away last night. She was sick and in a lot of pain for a while now, so it is good to know that she is at peace. it's still hard on the rest of us though.

Mike, Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Thoughts & prayers are with you.

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA for so long. Life just has a way of messing with the fun stuff.
I've still been going to therapy 3 days a week and trying to stay caught up at work and all.

We won't be going on our NCL Christmas cruise this coming Thursday. My husband had an accident at work and had to have surgery, so it's best that he not travel right now. Sooo...we've switched to planning a nice quiet Christmas at home, which is definitely okay with me. I'm just glad we'll all be together, and that he's okay.

Sorry to hear about this. Prayers your way.
