I sent a note to my TA at Dreams (Debbie Lasher) and she has WLed us for Capt.'s Dining. I explained to her that I had met many wonderful people here on the boards and want to join in the fun. She suggested that I either send her a confirmation # or Name of DISer and she will link us to them for seating. If anyone would like to help me out,you can pm me and either I'll give you my info to email her or vise versa. Whatcha' think?

We should let Kristina (Goofyforlife) do all the linking or DCL may get messed up with all the different TA requests along with our group request.

Give her a PM to add you to list. There is also a fairly large group of late diners.

Thank you Tom, I'll do that right now.

Hey All,

We just got home and Lina again wanted to say "THANKS" for the birthday greetings. We had a real nice time at Ruby Tuesday, then Lina wanted to make a poodle at B-a-B for her birthday. Dummy me, forgot to take the camera, but I did have my camera phone with me and took a pic of her making the poodle. Again, dummy me, forgot to save the pic. :sad2:

After we were done there, Lina and Trish went to the center court and did some karaoke(sp), I did save some of those pics I took......

I finally did get a photo of Lina and LC aka:Lauren, after we got home. For Lina's 16th birthday last year she made a husky at B-a-B and named that dog Kendra.

Now it is time to unwind a bit, and relax.

Hey Cheryl, I just turned on TWC and saw that Chicago got down to 39* overnight setting a record low...........:cold:

That cold front is headed our way, not looking forward to it........:sad2:

Our furnace will be set to come on tonight!!! ;)

That 92* in Central Florida looks mighty good right about now Liz!!! :thumbsup2

Yes, it was not fun having to bundle up in blankets for DS11's soccer game at 9AM today. Just a few weeks ago, we were complaining about the heat in Orlando.

I'm avoiding turning on the heat because I haven't had the furnace serviced yet, but the gas fireplace may be on during our football watching party tonight.

Here are "The Girls" having some fun this evening.........:goodvibes

Luckily for us, we had the heater and central air serviced at the same time in May, we are ready for the cooler temps tonight........:thumbsup2

Thank you for "sharing" your birthday with us Lina!! Love your new Poodle by the way.

When DH got his passport, it arrived in about 2 weeks and somehow he found out that if one person pays for expedited service they take all the applications in that batch & expedite them. Sounds like this is what happened to you. I don't know that I'd count on it if I had a family of 5 applying at once and really needed the passports quickly, but if I had time I might try the experiment of paying for one in a batch and seeing what happened to the rest of the family's...

Yes, I would not count on government for anything.:rolleyes1 Mine took 16 weeks with 2 phone calls.

All right I found the AC dates for Hanna Montana.
Tickets start at $400

My Three year old DGD asked to see Hanna Montana. She is spoiled but $400!!!! I think she will go to the movies instead.:rotfl2:

.i'm...:confused3 , so we have 2 sites? who's over there's? ...the only
thing i can think of...is it the late diners? & why "we" called the "traitors?"

We are the rebels who are not dining with our CJS!!:scared1: I think we should be called laters not traiters.:confused3 Us laters are trying to give room to the cruisers with little ones!!

This is my 2500th post on this thread.

I know I am supposed to say something profound and inspirational, but that's just not my style.

So I will leave you with this thought:

"The early bird gets the worm...
but the second mouse gets the cheese."

Congrats JR!!!!:woohoo: That is a lot of chatting.:thumbsup2

Are you implying that we're not already???:thumbsup2

Only your wife knows for sure if you are "Prince Charming!!":rolleyes1

Plus, may I add that Congress considering an amendment to our tax codes which would reduce or phase out the mortgage deductability on properties of 3000' or more? I only heard or read something brief about it... so be aware of this potential penalty looming on the horizon. AND - might I add that I think it more likely it will be a graduated effect ... IE, at 3100 feet ou lose a small portion of deductability... and with a 6000 home you might lose all of the deductabilityon any mortgage for the home.

No guarantees though... do your own due dillengence investigation on this if it matters to you.[/COLOR]

Thanks for the concern Crash.:flower3: You forget I am older and have no mortgage. We have been in the same house for 35 years and have been mortgage free for the last ten.:woohoo: :woohoo: We need a larger home for all the family and friends that will come visit me.:lmao: :lmao: I will only be 40 minutes away from WDW.:cheer2:

I think my dd has pics of you on the cruise..... I'm sorry I never got out to the *bars* and missed all of that! LOL! Michael got hold of Katherine's camera and deleted the pics and video of him on stage! :rotfl2:

Thank goodness all evidence is destroyed.

Only if we're talking about the dinner times. There's early dinner...or Main...and Late dinner.
Since Todd, our own Captain Jack Sparrow, is going to be at the early dinner time, it became known as "Captain's Dining".
And since it seems as though everyone always wants to be on the early, or Captain's dining (there are always waitlists for it) it only seemed natural that those of us who CHOSE to eat at the later time were Traitor's. Not disrespect intended.

And I must admit it was I who came up with that. :guilty:

If I had any brain cells left I could maybe try to come up with something better. But I sort of like being a little SAUCY.

I don't mind being called a "traitor'. I just do not want to walk the plank.:scared: :scared1:

Heat went on this morning!!!!:sad2: The temperature in the house was down to sixty!!!:scared1:

I dont know of a calculator, but if your care costs are higher than the FSA cap (which I think is $5k in most circumstances) then you can take both the FSA bennie along with some part of the dependent care credit (for the costs over the $5k cap).

And if memory serves me correct, assuming your income is in excess of $40k the max dependant credit is 20% of your expenses. Thus, if you marginal tax rate exceeds 20% you would be better off with an FSA. Married Filing Joint move upto the 25% bracket (from the 15% bracket) when they hit $61,300 of Taxable Income (this is income after deductions) in 2006. So if you Taxable Income is over $61k - do the FSA.

***note the above only works if both spouses work and each has wages (or self employment income) in excess of the child care costs *** discuss with your tax advisor!

Wow!!! Did I start all the debate because of my 3100 square foot house I want to buy in Florida.:headache: The house in Florida will be $30,000 less than what mine is worth!!:woohoo: Looks like I will have money left over for a pool.:cheer2:

I for one, thank you! The late dining on our qualifying cruise about killed me! I drink tea and a lot of it at dinner and if the caffeine did not keep me up all night the bathroom trips did. I felt like my Dad:lmao:
I know there is no way the M's could make late dining.

Cheryl,

Our place in Forest Hills isn't too far from Eustis. From Eustis head east on 44, then make a left onto SR 42 and we are three miles in from 44. If, we were there tonight, we wouldn't need to have the heater turned on...........

Hi everyone!
[edit]
Aside from that, does anyone know )or can hazard a guess) as to whether there will be a tropical night as well as the formal, semi formal & pirate nights? Have seen some great hawaiin/tropical shirts, but it's the only time DH would wear it, so trying to work out if it's worth splashing the cash!!

Yanno (as BIP would say), even if DCL doesn't do an official Tropical/Hawaiian shirt night, I'd bet we could put together an unofficial one:beach: ! Let's get closer to the trip (and see what they do on the Westbound one) and if they don't schedule one - Let's do our own.

Hi everyone!

Manic day her. DH has been away for 10 days now & I'm starting to struggle abit. Anyway, he sent some piccies & I thought I'd share. Allegedly this trip is work & I grant that some of the stops were not high on my list of must do places but were certainly high on the list of "why do we send our troops there", but what he sent makes it look more like a jolly. First is a pic of DH himself with the Sydney harbour bridge growing out of his (:rotfl: can't work out if that's intentional or not). Second is the Sydney Opera house at night & finally the Himalayas.

Hi Celestine,
I agree with my DW that if DCL drops this ball (no aloha shirt night) we will do our own in fact I think we should start planning right now.

If you are looking for aloha shirts with a military flair PM me and I will send you a link.

BTW
Home to the 2012 Olympics I am sorry that the San Francisco area didn’t try harder to get them it would have been wonderful to have then here.

Last question

Is you DH currently serving in military? If so which branch?

Lets see, we will be at Parrot Cay for 5 nights. I would say that any of those that are not formal should be Tropical night. You will see me in a Hawaiian shirt most of the time during the TOAL.
