HI.. just got back from taking DS#1 driving.. he did fine until we got to parking at Wal-Mart..started to pull into a parking spot and he pulled too far forward before starting to turn in and he was too far over and he was gonna hit the parked SUV.. For the first time I yelled big time.. but he stopped and backed up and then parked great..

I wonder many greys hairs for that episode??

I found out a few months ago that one of my very good friends still had dial up AND was paying for a second line for the computer! I forced her to get DSL! LOL! She is very glad that she listened to me.

You are very brave..... I am on our 3rd teenager.... I rode with the other two and it looks like I may have to ride with this one.....One of my dearest friends works at a driving school and I think I may convince her to ride with my dd -- luckily my dd is her dd's best friend! LOL!

WOW!!! An oil tank in a tank farm that sits a couple blocks from our house was hit by lightning a short while ago. I had just turned off my laptop when I heard a loud boom, the tank is on fire and about 10 fire trucks have raced past our house. The news helicopter is over house this very minute and I'm watching the live news report on TV right now.

The smoke is unblievable. Your pics were great. Hope it's under control.

good evening everyone!
funny thing today...the oscar mayer weiner mobile drove right past my house this morning!! i usually give the kids breakfast, and then we head right outside for play. this morning it was overcast, so i kept the kids on the front porch instead. well, there we sit, and all of a sudden this huge hot dog comes bumbling up the street!!!! i guess if i listened to the radio/news, i would have known it was going to be in town, but i pay no attention to local stuff. kids thought it was a real treat...and of course we had to have hot dogs for lunch today!! that was all they talked about all day long!! so funny!!

My kids are in the same age ranges as a lot of the other kids here. My oldest (boy) will be 10 next month.

The twins (boy & girl) will be 8 in Sept.

They're looking forward to making new friends on the cruise too.

I forgot that is close too!!! I must have been on that ride 50 times. Now I will have to wait two years before I go again. That darn EBPC will take up vaction time next year.

Should we be happy or scared that Whoppers employs a microbiologist?

The real scary part is that he was fresh out of grad school!!! He solved serveral of their problems within a year. While he was interviewing for a Pharmacuitcal in Michigan, he got layed off from Whooper Candy Company!!! Leaf(whooper candy) could only hire Microbiolgist when they had problems and then let go once the problems were solved. Fortunately he left to work for a drug company in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He has been there twelve years and trouble shoots around the world !!!

I admit I procrastinate - but for anyone planning on losing weight - getting in shape - etc. for the TOAL - get started. Oh - I'm really talking to myself - I was keeping my work-out schedule sporatically - so now I'm leaving in a month & am kicking myself for saying - oh I've got plenty of time. Ha - and spandex in August won't work. Well, I'll see how well I can do in a month.
