Has anyone used a money belt when travelling? I got my silk undercover moneybelt today from ebags. Passport, train tix, airline tix & money all fit and it's still quite flat. Maybe I should wear it around here before I leave to test it!

Hi everyone! Another hectic day in the Taylor family - I was called back from work by Lauren's school today. Drove the hour back, getting frustrated as I hit 3 sets of roadworks with single line alternate traffic, met the tractor going the opposite direction on a single track road, and then some Ford focus driver tried to wip me out whilst doing his Michael Schumacher impression! And what for? Gave Lauren some Calpol (liquid paracetamol), she slept for an hour, went to the loo & was then feeling fine - yes, I felt very conned!

Anyone heading to WDW just prior to Thanksgiving? DH & I fly out 14 November for 6 nights sans kids to belatedly celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. If anyone else is out then, it would be really nice to meet up

Enjoy whats left of Wednesday - off to bed as DH is trying to understand baseball as he's just got Setanta on the satellite. It's bad enough with the soccer.....

I'm using a library computer and I've reported the stolen card charge officially. Now waiting for processsing and return of funds. The rep assurred me there is no liability for unauthorized charges - especially with my circumstances.

So - I gotta get home to prep the pot luck picnic dinner grub = and meet our friends who are riding in with us at 4....

No Austyn will be starting 2nd grade as well. Her birthday is the first week of September and we started her early. She is big for her age and did well in
1st grade. She is the youngest in her class but you would not know it by looking at her.

DS8 (entering 3rd grade this fall) has been pestering me about starting to "meet" kids from the cruise via email. I've been putting him off since the cruise is so far off, but if anyone else has a kid around that age (boy or girl - he has no problem being friends with either!) who is also interested in starting to email this early, drop me a PM.

WOW!!! An oil tank in a tank farm that sits a couple blocks from our house was hit by lightning a short while ago. I had just turned off my laptop when I heard a loud boom, the tank is on fire and about 10 fire trucks have raced past our house. The news helicopter is over house this very minute and I'm watching the live news report on TV right now.

I was looking over everyone's posts regarding visits to WDW in August. This is the first August in 17 years that I will not be down there for the last two weeks in August until Labor Day. I would have enjoyed meeting all of you fellow disers who would be down there and have mini-meets. But I will be down there from November 26th and leaving December 4th. Then again January 10th thru January 20th. I told my family I want to spend my birthday with my main man Mickey then again in March around St. Patrick's Day.

Will anyone be down there during these times?

A few pics from the oil tank fire. The first pic is of the NBC 10 news helicpoter that was over our house. I saw a total of 4 news helicopters when I got to the interstate overpass. The last pic is the traffic backing up on I-295 near exit 23, which is two blocks to the east of our house.

Great pictures Andy. I saw on the news that there was a church fire in Baltimore. It was a total loss.

We are starting to get a storm coming this way from the west. It is so dark here right now you would think it was midnight.
