9/1 is David (in England) 40th B'day. So - we should have cake!!

My flight leaves at 7:10 pm!!

We should definitely have time for cake. But we'll probably take an earlier flight than that. I know my mom will be anxious to get home.

Harry gets a post all to himself!

I'm sorry, but he is even more attractive because he's managed to stay with the same wife for 13 years. OK, I'm not a stalker, he got married the day I got engaged (coincidence ), so I know how many years it's been. Then again, what man would divorce a Victoria's Secret model?

Besides the fact that he's totally hot and his voice makes things melt, when I see him interviewed, he just seems like the kind of guy it would be fun to go out and have a beer with.

I told DH that I need to switch organizations and go to work for Habitat for Humanity to increase my chances of meeting him. DH knows all about me and Harry...

While other girls in High school had photos of Tom Cruise, Christian Slater... etc, I had a poster of Harry in mine. Saw him in concert for the fourth time in May. He is an amazing live performer. And does a cute little "booty" dance on stage.

I wanted to say lurkers, but had to change it to lookers. After being instructed by Cheryl (after 39 years you do what they say, saves a whole lot of trouble later) . That would have got me into trouble.
Now that JR is not going, I won't have anyone to sleep on deck chairs.

Small world, My grandfather was born around Metropolis (in 1870). Our family moved to Southern IL in the 1830's and stayed there until after the turn of the century. One of these days we need to go back there and do some further genealogy research.

Maybe we're related! My family has been in this area forever. I can only trace one great-grandparent to Ellis Island, most of my ancestors were here at least by the mid-1800's.

I actually remember Edwardsville. DS did his graduate degree At U of I. DS had his first job in Robinson working for the candy maker Leaf. He was the microbiolgist for the plant making Whoopers Candy!!!

It's a cute little town. The world around it has grown up quite a bit, but the main parts of town have been basically the same since I was a kid.

Should we be happy or scared that Whoppers employs a microbiologist?

This must be one of the small world type of things. I was just talking to my daughter who is going to a conference in Collinsville, Ill. She is flying into St. Louis and has been trying to find a way (other than renting a car) of traveling to the hotel. We really get spoiled traveling to larger cities that have so many options to get where we need to be. We were just talking about researching the area to try to find some options. But, that's a job for tomorrow.

I doubt there are many options, maybe a towncar type of thing. It would be a pretty spendy taxi ride and there isn't much public transportation in these parts.

M wanted ask you, did you ever skate in Nationals in 86?

If I remember correctly for 1986... I made it to Midwest Sectionals for dance (didn't make Nationals) & skated Novice and Junior Precision (Synchro) Nationals in Boston. Got 4th place...I ALWAYS got 4th place at Nationals.
