We've got a whole gaggle of kids in the 9-12 (at time of cruise) age bracket it seems.

My kids have started asking about whether there are other kids going.

Of course my DS7 has been wondering how I know people that will be on our cruise even though we've never met them. We were sitting poolside at WLV and I was explaining to wife that the week we normally come to WDW (last in August) seems to be most popular amongst the TOAL wenches and swabbies when DS7 asks how I know that they are on the cruise, coming to WDW and planning a party at this very pool.... Of course I just told him I know everything and he better behave when I'm not looking....

Tom, great pics. When we go I'll know what to look for. My dd asks me how I know things too. Are your kids buying that line like mine is?
Thought not! She also asks me on Friday night, why do I talk to people I don't know?

Yes, the private room can hold only 14 people around the table and there is only room for one table. Here is a picture from December 2006 when our pal Mary Ann (magiroux) arranged for all of us to eat there. I'm the good looking guy in the picture and SWMBO is next to me, and actually smiling.

You're "the good looking guy in the picture"? Isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder? How are we all to reach the same conclusion that one of these gentlemen is the good looking one, and apparently you? Out of consideration for all the other men in the picture, you are going to have to describe yourself better than that . . .

actually, 2002...was our first intro to crt, my lil'miss called @ 7am..
gone? how can that be?...so she called 2 minutes before...the next
day..got in at 705..gone! what~in wdw!!! ...how can that be?...so
i called...that evening, to check what was going on?...that's when
we discoverd the crt lottery....wow, talk about nerve wacking. so
i fixed that....i had 4 co-workers on the lines...me, my wife, & both
boys....on the lines, 0650 am...[on a saturday} & her brother in
iowa, and grandparents too!] . ha! i know something about increasing
the odds...no one got thru..except me!!!! , boy did feel like
"champ"....( i still have the lil'slip of paper with our "info")....my lil'miss
thought i was kidding... ......ok~ sweetie, what's my reward-
hmmm, may i suggest....a fun fill-night of making dreams come true?
are you wondering what a scondrel could dream? me too!


....so there we were,on the boat dock @ the willdness lodge ..waiting
for the paddle boat...where 2 honeymooners were throwing caution...
causing all kind of distractions...jordan asked.."what's going on..is she
scare ?".....then we realized no paddleboat a'coming....anyone knows the
wonderful feeling of ! just then, one of those rink-a dink, over-
sized canoes..came rowing up?.....oh, this is the only way to the magic
castle? so we all piled in....using our big boys for "balance"...as we all tooted
off....waving @ an "empty" paddle boat..except having pluto & chip on
it..waving back. land-HO!!!..next thing i knew..my lil'sweetie had turned
into a drill sargent.."March~~~double time, then triple time....hey!,
there's nobody in the parks?...let's take a few pics? ( ever heard, "if
looks could kill!!!" )...thank , one of those putt-putt vehicles
came by...then we were seated right up front by the window....& our
first princess was~ sleeping beauty~oh, princess!...jordan tumbled, trying
to reach out, before we could even catched her..right into auroa's arms..
soo excited--* there's something really undescrible, seeing a lil girl 's
dream come true.... especially if she yours. but afterwards, it was when
we stopped in @ tinker's treasures...the clerk asked jordan about "waking
tinker bell?"..& here i was thinking it was some sorta dinner bell?

...great! 2003, making this frizzy, an important goal...to get those near-
impossible crt reservations...honey~ its yor turn to do. well we did, so i
thought after all that trouble, ~~~~~~~,

...why not add a lil' excitemnt? ...to the story? & once learning the lil'pixie
flies around the room...so i got a lil'net for jordan. [ thinking~ it would be a
neat..fun activity?] *but this is where i went awry, by mentioning to jordan,
if she catches her.....she 'll be granted a wish.... and this was the
incident.., someone left my ticket in the glove compartment...

[she the no~name princess..but sometimes referred to as a lil' miss
cutie...when she being good}.

so be it... "i wasn't there" when jordan went after miss tink & woe
was me! ,but from reports later, i guess our lil' ...became
...not being granted her wish. and my lil'miss flame was giving me the
"heat"...however, you know when your heart is in the right place...
magic happens? (he,he,he, i just loved happy endings..remember- i
mentioned that penchant before?). and it happened~ because of one son,
was so preoccupied~ getting princess's pics..he left his walkie-talkie on
the table...the crt table. we were in "adventure land" when we realized
where we left it. adventure land--ha, so appropriate ubder the conditions,
..& who did we find in the hallway.."the fairygod's mother"...& she asked
jordan was she tearful...& jordan told her all about her christmas wish...
she wanted to make sure every girl & boy got a present this year...all
along..me geting "lil'devil" looks from you know who...but the fairygod's
mother gave jordan a really big hug, and filled her tinkerbell's net full of
pixie dust...& told her if she slept on it...that night..her wish would still
come true!

scored one for the daddys!!!!!..imagined my dream coming true...after
that very trying morning....standing there , ..."i'm waiting~ sweetie!
oh, boy!..i bet i was the happiest daddy in the park..at that moment!!!
however, this resulted in me being banned....now~ you know the
really big risk..i took 2 years later...when i did that lil' story book ..for
my lil'miss flame....ahh, what life..without a lil'risk?



*[ remember? just because a lil'cutie pie is cute..dosen't mean she
can't pack ..a whopper...can you say~ ker-boom! ( did any of
you guys played that game growing up?)..anyhooters....sumpthin
i learn the hard way...how much "punch" { to the 10th power } my
lil' miss flame....could deliver..when..she is it-a-tated... .

so there isn't any foolish notion of my, to be leading her [miss }
"up" to our front door..a lil'miss cutie...waiting in the wings. *pun intended.

don't mean to be too nosy..but is your name egyptian related?

my wife absoulte refuses to do ..during vacation, but i think,
since this is a "voyage" - 15 days...+ disneyland...."she" needs to be
prepare...for any occassion. however, she gets a lil' when i try
to help her...even suggestions, [see warning above] . maybe i'll
sneak a few lil'detegent packages in her suit case...

Thanks Tom! I hadn't realized that the first post had been changed since I looked at it ages ago! That is just what I was looking for!

We have not get much accomplished with planning yet, but we sure do have fun here!!! We are just "getting to know you" (song) and having fun til time gets closer. Just jump in any time. We are always in hot water here!!!

PM me and remind me to post instructions when I return (or use the time tested alternative of "If I had a freak flag it would be (fill in colors here) with (stuff that should be on it) on it" and Crash will look up the graphics and Roger or I would likely play some photoshop or similiar.....(of course, both Roger and I are playing at WDW right now....)

You guys are the best when it comes to the computer stuff. I did have to go to the Tech board to put my images together to keep the bytes within limits. I should have just asked one of you. I trying to learn all this computer stuff!!!

DH and I are bringing DD's 10, 9 and 9 (g/g twins!) We haven't told any of them yet about this super duper trip. All that they know is that we are planning a trip to California and DL (which was true even before we booked the PC Cruise!). We aren't sure when or how to tell them. We are thinking maybe as a Christmas present!

Anyway, welcome to Maggie! This is a busy thread and everyone here is really friendly. ---Is that why it's so busy!?!?!?
I can't keep up with all the posts, but I just had to say HI!

We were on the South Carib. 11-night last Sept. That was our first cruise. Not first Disney Cruise, First Cruise EVER, so we are hooked now! What a wonderful way to start!

I was on the 10 day Wonder last Sept. Maybe we passed at the terminal.
There are a great buch of friendly people here. We all just like to talk alot so just get your feet wet anytime.

And I had to say ... when MY spouse spouts heated remarks and stomps around the it's sometimes kind of heart warming - in a charming way as this dino is on the bridge....

And... my spouse also won't let me near the laundry - and not for lack of my enthusiastic offers to hep. I guess her relectance has somethig to do with the first and lasst time I "helped" and the laundry came out a blended color with tiny little speckles of detergent on everything. I didn;t read the clothing tags or realize HC meant Highly Concentrated. Silly me, eh?

I noticed for the last repo someone started a bimonthly e-mail newsletter with info on excursions, etc. that you needed to sign up to receive. Is there anything like that for this repo? Nope! But if you read Terry Pratchett (pTerry!) if certainly sounds like it should be (If you don't read Pratchett, then that doesn't make any sense of course...)

Actually, it is just my first initial and last name. I kept my maiden name and then also used it as my DS8's first name! It causes massive confusion, but it has been used as a first name in my family quite a bit. My last name is actually Scottish. The family came from Edinburgh, then spent 1 generation in Ireland (Ballymena), then immigrated to the US and eventually settled in Iowa.

Your post brought back some great memories. Our first trip to WDW (1986) was when our girls were 10 and 12. We told then about the trip on Christmas morning 1985. We made up a puzzle by printing instructions to a scavenger hunt and then cut it up and put it in their stocking. They had to put it together. The first thing they found was a calendar page with the dates colored in and then I can't remember exactly the next few things they found were (I think sunglasses and sunscreen which was not easy to find in Pennsylvania in December) and finally the last clue told them to open the largest present under the tree and it was a new suitcase with a copy of the Birnbaum book in it. I still look at those pictures every few years and even thought the girls are in their thirties now it brings back such wonderful memories and that day and the first trip. Last summer was twenty years and we went back with the idea of recreating some of the same pictures we took in 1986, unfortunately there have been so many changes it was hard to do. But we enjoyed our trip down memory lane so much. I hope the announcement is as memorable for you.
