Tina, I feel a bit insulted that he's recycling the same cartoon for you and I!

We're so happy to see ya scheduled for this voyage!!!

Hi CC! Of course we remember you. Who DOESN't know the Captain!?!?!!?:rotfl:
We were at the 'Other' table at early seating on your rotation.
We didn't have any tablemates.
Everyone must have been afraid of us! :sad1:
My DH was the guy that came over to take your table's photo on the last evening.
He felt guilty that you wouldn't get a chance to be in your table's picture!

We took tons of pictures on that cruise.
I would post some, but I am lucky I can figure out how to post a message
let alone include an image!!!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'm usually a lurker....OCD bigtime, so
I try to read EVERYTHING!!!!!

Hi Everyone! I'm late to join this thread, but we are also on this cruise, myself, DH and 10 year old b/g twins. I know this sounds lame, but I just can't read 65,000 posts to catch up! I noticed for the last repo someone started a bimonthly e-mail newsletter with info on excursions, etc. that you needed to sign up to receive. Is there anything like that for this repo? Or another (shorter) thread with cruise info? Thanks much! -Maggie

:welcome: :welcome: just join in Maggie. We are a just a chatty bunch, no planning yet--just getting to know each other.:goodvibes

I've learned how to use Photo Bucket,so look out!

95% Awesome!!!!:woohoo:

(hey, it has to rain sometime.... otherwise 100%...)

Glad you all are having a great time:) Looks like you have been shopping a lot too:cool1:

I have had a little bit of time the past 2 days and got to ketchup a bit with you all. :surfweb:

Tina I figured out it said Great Lakes ( I was having a hard time with that for some reason.)

I will be glad when I slow down and get to be more active again. Everyone have a wonderful evening.

Yes, the private room can hold only 14 people around the table and there is only room for one table. Here is a picture from December 2006 when our pal Mary Ann (magiroux) arranged for all of us to eat there. I'm the good looking guy in the picture and SWMBO is next to me, and actually smiling. :rotfl:

dis_at_brunch.jpg
I know I know .....can I tell?
OK, JR, if I have to guess I would say you are the guy in the blue shirt, standing. Right or wrong?
Wrong
See Julie....told ya'
OK JR .... because you say "you're actually smiling"... that leads me to guess you're this one in the picture cuz the smile is not that prominant...

Is this one you?
Wrong!!!!! J.R. is right--- he is the best looking guy in the photo sitting in the middle in the white shirt. BTW--which one is Mary Ann?
Woo! Hoo! :cool1: :cool1: I got my freak pirate flag up!
Tina, I love the flag. Very cool!!!

Well...

... I'm glad ya remembvered us. I must say though that we have another "Captain" on the thread - TOdd. He's got a costume that is the most elegant recreation of Capt Jack Sparrow I imagine any of us are likely to see... plus his familiarity with CJS verbage and POTC movie lore definitively qualiifies him as "the Captain" on this thread. SO most folks refer to me as either Crash, Tom or simply "Oh Nooo, not Him again" .... <chuckles>.

And how are you folks doin'? Everything fine as usual I presume. On this sailin' I've got company of a sort. There are currently 8 (or 9) cabins in my group... I got both of my BILs comin' with thier 4 kids, my FIL & MIL, plus friends Judy Chun and Jadine with thier families plus Judy has two brothers and a girlfriend coming with thier families. Hmmm.... let me count that again, 1+2+1+2+2+1 = 9 cabins. Yup ... it's nine. Too many for private dining in Palos with all of us - so I'll have to sort through that later as to if and how we'll do that. Not to mention the dining arrangements.

At any rate... please convey a shout and poke in the ribs to your spouse from us. Oh ... all my photos from the sailing ... all 6,700+ of them are on an external hard drive I used for storage - and the drive had some kind of failure. We think its' the power supply or something electrical that overheated. The Western Digital model has developed a bad reputation for overheating prematurely. So... I need to swap enclosures to regain use of the drive - and I've been too cheap to buy an enclosure at retail... so I'm still waitin' for a decent sale before I buy one. No surprise there, eh?

At any rate - welcome once again to the party!

Actually, I'm surprised Crash hasn't photoshopped George Clooney or Brad Pitt or someone into the picture and pointed to that person as "you"!

I'm off to see Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare in the Park, so I'll check in later to see the "reveal" of who you were in the photo . . .

OK... Julie I am changing my vote on who JR is to the guy seated in the center ... the white shirt and green antenna.

Tom everytime I have looked at that pic, I keep trying to figure out why you were walking around in a dress! (then I realize it must have been a pj party)
LOL.

Nope... this is how we sail everyday! We are very casual and pack lightly. Besides - the red outfit is my favorite santa claus nite shirt - I wear it everywhere on the ship - don't you do the same when you cruise Paula?

So our little guy is a year older! Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes, he had a wonderful birthday for sure! And to answer the question about me having a hard time with the fact that he turned two… YES I am having a hard time! I know they grow up but does it have to be so fast!

Our guests all arrived here safe and healthy. Sherry arrived last Wednesday and left today. It was nice seeing her. HC’s parents are leaving here tomorrow and it seems they had a great time also! We have Mary here till Monday night so she has lots of Nathan time! Actually everyone enjoyed themselves including me. We had a busy long weekend including seeing 7 falls, the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, a few malls, some new homes, and of course some birthday cake! He got a ton of presents including a pair of Disney croc’s which HC swore he was going to wait till closer to the cruise to buy but could not resist! He went to get ready for bed in them and I almost wonder if he is sleeping with them on! He loves shoes!

We have one more birthday “present” for him which is a trip to the zoo. No one seemed to want to go this weekend, it was rather warm and I think a few suffered from altitude sickness. Needless to say I was not happy but he had no clue it was cut from our to do list. The weather broke last night bringing much cooler temperatures and so we will be heading to the zoo with Aunt Mary on Thursday. I think that is it for now!

Happiness2.jpg

It seems to me you had a beautiful visit from everyone and all went perfectly - or nearly so. With that in mind I think it safe to declare that HAPPINESS (symbol above) has prevailed in your home for this chapter! And THIS is a lot of what life is all about in my opinion. We all work so hard it seems to find a little time to enjoy. It's a shame we all can't just have fun 90% of the time with those we care most about (outside of immediate family in the same household) and work 10%, eh? Then again I don't know if I could survive seeing some people 90% of the time - even with my care and love for them being "up there" at the top of the list - <chuckles> - uh... I'm just kidding.

pirate: Happy Birthday! pirate:

Thanks for the birthday wishes for my wittle Rita- who is not so wittle anymore. I can't believe she's 7 already!

Sorry I haven't been on here for awhile. Sometimes I try to read and catch up a bit (totally impossible- but atleast I try to catch SOME stuff posted LOL) but I have just been so busy I never get around to posting. Rita had her birthday party last Saturday and it was a big princess bash here at the house- 3 fun filled hours of nothing but princess "stuff" for all the princesses. They all either came dressed up already or dressed up in some of Rita's princess play clothes. They had a BLAST! I'm still having a little bit of a hard time dealing with the fact that my baby, my last baby ever, is already 7yrs old though. *cry* I now have a teen (who is the definition of stinky teen lately by the way) and my baby is SEVEN YEARS OLD! I can't take it... someone hold me. :sad2:

I hope everyone is doing well... I'm going to go check out the first post to see if there's any news I've missed that I need to know! :)

Happy Wednesday!!!:coffee:

No break in our heat wave today. High 90's!! Heat index 104!

:cheer2: WELCOME TO ALL OUR NEWBIES!!:cheer2: We are a great bunch!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RITA & MATTHEW!!:cake:

Tina, I love the flag. Very cool!!!

I did finally guess correctly -- but I think I was down to only 2 or so that either Crash or I hadn't guessed, so it's no great accomplishment!
