I'm with you there - although we TiVo a few programs and watch them later - "Ugly Betty" "Heros" "Raines" "House" - that's about it I think. I read a lot.

I used to watch Ugly Betty but got bored with it, I like Raines but usually miss it, I love House & the rest of the family watches Heros. Other than that, we watch AI, DH watches all those CSI shows & I watch a lot of HGTV.

Survivor is the only one I watch. DH got me hooked on it a couple of years ago. I don't watch much TV either. Survivor and Sopranos are the only ones I make sure I am sitting in front of the **** tube each week for.

Did anyone catch the Sopranos this week? This last season has been pretty lame, but this week's was the best episode ever, IMO.

ETA; looks like I said a naughty word - so sorry

:lmao:

Really small world, I'm outside Trenton, another 1/2 hour south, plus there's a bunch of other current and former "Jersey'ans" on this thread.....

There certainly are alot of us - Three years ago we moved from Glassboro, NJ to The Villages, FL. It is really nice to have a 90 minute drive home from WDW and not a 17 hour drive.

Sorry for all the posts...trying not to do a huge multi-quote thing!

Here is the clip!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSXj95yNNTM

I think that they are so great is that they are the young couple on the show & are doing so well. I think that she is 18 & he is 23.

I don't watch DWTS but I must say I thought that was really awesome! Thanks for the clip!

Lisa I also tried to quote the communion pics but lost them...very nice!

Ian & Cheryl are still in it. He did a fantastic Elvis last night.

Awwww now I'm really sorry I don't watch the show! :guilty:

And considering the Gas Buddy gas price temperature map http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_gastemperaturemap.aspx shows Cali (and OR and WA) with the highest gas prices in the country ($4.02/gal in Mariposa County)....OUCH! I filled up last week at Sam's and the woman ahead of me in the Suburban had a tab of $138!!!! :scared1:
Just filled up 2.89. Cheapest around including the clubs.

How about two of these?

You have the best photos. I will be dreaming about this .Yum

Thanks for the photos Laura. Time for bed.

:headache: ,,,,i hate it , when they do something new to our internet connections/phones ....as always, they broke something where they had to come back....2 young guys, linebackers type.

....in a blink of a pirate: eye, our lil' jack russell burst~ out
the front door....i could see that look in his eyes, of wanting to
chomp....the intruders~:dog: & :scared: .forcxing me into a
dive , just one mili-sec. quicker than him. thanks godness....
this had $$$ lawsuit....the one worker asked if i used to play
football...cos he never seen someone moved so quick...truth
is, $$$ a great motivator. but not at a price, ripped right thru
my :mickeyjum jammies, & i have a whole new set of bruises...
i am way toooo old for this! :sad2: ..anyone like a free,
cute and very protective puppy~ :dog: ???

now iam "feeling it".... , sore all over.

[ her hair is growing back...& it still has reddish ~ gold type highlights...
 , just like her grandmother...& daddy (used to be). the gentleman
besides her, is the Irish dancing champion of the world...from IRELAND.
~ they wanted him to do the "lord of the dance"....but he turned it
down, to teach children...:wizard: , some are not driven by money.

{wish i could say the same, :rolleyes1} ..the program was in town,
and alot of the professional dancers~from riverdance, came over to
help the kids put on this show....:thumbsup2 , that was really neat to
watched! * what i feel really sad about....our local school refused
to let jordan leve 2 hrs early to continue her lessons...to me, its
a part of her heritage...and we felt more educational..but we ended
up in court...:sad2:. i dislike poltics. ]

LG I hope you didn't get too banged up! I can relate to chasing the dog down before she tears someone a new one (leg that is ;) )! I have a cockerpoo & she is very protective of our household. Also I think because she is so small, she tends to be a bit more skittish than bigger dogs.

Your DD is beautiful! You are absolutely right that those lessons were extremely educational & something she could take with her all her life! I'm sorry you had to fight for something that should be fundamental in all children's education. We are losing the dance, music, and art that is so important for educating the overall child. Sorry on the soap box for a second there. I just finished school for early education & that was a hot topic! ;)

Is there any other road around where the speed limit is 70? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Believe it or not the speed limit is 75 on our major highways and when you get closer into a more populated area it drops to a slow 70. I can not believe that I have gotten used to that speed but it was a shocker when I went back to Philly last week and was zipping down I95 and noticed that I was passing everyone... I was doing 75 in a 55....

My local Target also carries OPI. I cannot for the life of me remember what I have on the toes. Hot-House-Red, if that's a color?

Okay I guess I gotta hit Targey & look for OPI. I did have a manicure once & that is what they used, but it didn't last long. Maybe she didn't clean my nails correctly as someone else stated. :confused3

Hi Everyone!

Well I took my DS to the Dr. and missed the run for the pirate. They are much more few and far between now :lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday ugh!

Came home with four scripts for DS...nasal spray, eyedrops, and two ointments for the contact dermatitis he has under his arms ewwww. It seems he may have developed an allergy to anti-perspirant :scared1: :scared1:

That stinks OB! No pun intended! Poor kid, I hope he feels better soon!

Well DCL cancelled our reservations. I am trying my best to get a cabin booked, DCL is going to get so tired of me calling them all the time until I get one :rotfl2: They have even taken the wait list off of the suites. :confused3 If any of you hear about any openings please let me know!

Sorry to hear, but I'm sure something will open up soon! :wizard:

Woah I am sorry for your DS… But tell him he is not alone and is actually very lucky! A few years back I discovered Degree deodorant and I fell in love! Now why I thought I could use this stuff is beyond me since I have very sensitive skin, however I used it and things seemed to be fine. Then about a year into using it I discovered little bumps under the skin and as soon as I would go to call the Dr they would be gone. I looked online and of course most places said they were tiny cysts… Anyway to make a long story a bit shorter I didn’t worry. Then in June 2005 I got another bump that grew and grew to about the size of a small egg and then I got a fever so off to urgent care we went. The Dr took a look and said he thought I might have an ingrown hair but that he was going to try and lance it and I would have to go see a dermatologist since he didn’t think the lancing would work. Well he made his small cut and started to squeeze and not to gross everyone out but the crap that actually FLEW out of my arm scared the Dr and the nurse that was assisting! After asking me a few more questions he told me to stop stop using any sort of deodorant/anti persperant that had aluminum in it! That the aluminum in some people can case this build up. Needless to say we came home and tossed all that crud out. And while shopping I noticed that the choice of products that don't have aluminum in it are slim pickings. I found a great one that doesn’t have aluminum in it made by adidas and of course the crystal rock that you wet and place under your arm. Both work great at controlling the odor but the adidas works better at controlling the wet…. May that will help DS after things clear up a bit!

That was my problem when we moved here from OK. :confused3

No fun for DS & that certainly won't help the Stinky Teen situation!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I've just done a quick calculation and I've worked out that a gallon of petrol (gas) here will cost you roughly $8.55 - no comparison !!!

David

We are very spoiled in the US! We gets complaints when it is $2 or $3. They are still predicting that it will get to $4 national average this summer. I went to $3.39 yesterday afternoon. All 4 of our news channels were at my store today.

So DW is all  because I got a speeding ticket the other night. A real ticket this time. I was going 70 but he wrote it for 60 in a 55 zone. $60 fine, 1 point. Not that I case 'cause I don't think NM and CO trade points anyway.

I'm debating whether I should take photos of that stretch of road because there are no speed limit signs from the intersection to where the cop was sitting in the median. The road is twice as wide as the interstate and in just as desolate area. DW says to suck it up and pay the ticket. :teeth:

All of our tickets have court costs of $102.50 + the graduated speeding fines.

Lets see if this works:

Actually it's the NJ Gasoline Dealers Assoc that prevent NJ from going to pump your own. Powerful lobby group in Trenton.

I have been born, raised and have lived my entire life in NJ. I know how to pump gas. I pumped gas at my Dad's station while going to school. A few years ago, I was in Ohio with a co-worker. I pulled in to a gas station to fill-up and get directions to the hotel. I ask her to fill the car up while I go inside. She stands there for a second looking at the pump and the gas cap. I look at her and ask if she knew how to pump gas. Nope. Born and raised in NJ, it was not a skill acquired. Needless to say we did gas pumping 101. Got back to the office a few days later, I made up a training certificate and left in on her desk.

I filled up 2 wks ago and it was $3.19 - I can't remembe when it was under $3.00!!!
I do remember when the gas stations became self-serve. I went to my regular station and waited and waited - then my girlfriend noticed the sign - "self-serve only" - well, the 2 of us got out and just stared at the car & the pump - neither of us had a clue. A very nice guy took pity on us and showed us how it worked!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just purchased my second bottle of "Not So Bora-Bora Pink". My Favotite. I bring my own to the salon. OPI is great polish, but if the salon does not clean your nails properly b-4 appling it still chips and peels. The DCL spa gave me the worst mani-pedi I've ever had. The polish was peeling b-4 the night's end  , and it wasn't cheap either!!

I'll agree with you about the salon on DCL. I made that mistake 1 time! Now I make sure to schedule a visit the afternoon or evening before we leave.:)

Ok - here is Arlene and her DH along with the sign she made! Arlene - and hubby! Nice folks I tell you - we're all going to have soooo much fun!
