Hi Everyone!

Well I took my DS to the Dr. and missed the run for the pirate. They are much more few and far between now :lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday ugh!

Came home with four scripts for DS...nasal spray, eyedrops, and two ointments for the contact dermatitis he has under his arms ewwww. It seems he may have developed an allergy to anti-perspirant :scared1: :scared1:

Gives a whole new meaning to Stinky Teen!!!

Sorry, poor guy...is it the aluminum? Maybe he can try the Adidas CottonTech "absorbent-deo"? It uses cotton fibers rather than aluminum as the abosorption material. The cotton won't block sweat pores and is hypoallergenic so less likely to cause skin problems.

Note this first came out for women but they do have the manly scents packaged in masculine gray :)

Our good friend back East (actually, the brother of DSil in our traveling party) just had his new child!!! Child Services came by today at 4 and delivered 5 month old Baby Antonio!!!!

If all goes well he should be able to finalize by December or January! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

What wonderful news for your friends:) He is a cutie:goodvibes

I've been giving serious thought to getting rid of the BIGMOBILE...the Yukon XL, and getting a small sedan. Costs me about $90 to fill it up.:sad2:

I have a VW Beetle and it cost me $42.00 to fill up yesterday. Nearly fell on the floor. :sad2: I fill up every 5 days or so.

Well, tomorrow I'm performing my civic duty. Yay, JURY DUTY!!! (she says sarcastically). The courthouse does have a great view of LAX though.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a very Happy Wednesday!!!

ATTENTION SCRAPPERS!!!!!!

FYI the Today's Special Value on QVC for today (Wed 5/16) is a digital scrapbook, card and calendar software kit!!!

Memory Mixer II Digital Scrapbook/Card/CalendarSoftware KitRetail Value $130.00
QVC Price $66.00
Today's Special Value $54.12

Point, click, and create--scrapbooking has never been easier or more fun! This digital dynamo lets you combine photos, songs, video, narration, and tons of other built-in tools to make personalized photo albums, cards, calendars, and DVDs. Both beginners and long-time scrappers will love the endless possibilities.

  • Includes five digital scrapbooking software CD-ROMs and quick-start guide
  • Preview, print, or share albums digitally
  • Over 600 backgrounds (over 200 choices in three album sizes)
  • Over 1200 embellishments

  • 4 calendar QuickMix templates for customized 12-month calendar
  • 20 Quick Photocard templates for greeting cards
  • Photo red-eye reduction
  • Fill shapes
  • Improved text functionality

The thing I find pretty cool is that you can add video to the scrapbook page and share it electronically (email, web page etc). You can print the scrapbook pages with your photo printer or use your print shop (Costco, WM etc). You can also use their digital service which will turn your pages into a bound book.

One thing I wonder about is if you take your disc of scrapbook pages to a print shop, will they give you a hard time because they will look like something that was "professionaly" made?

I may have to get this for DW because I got her Disney Magic Artist for Mother's Day but it doesn't seem to be working out like we expected.

BTW...the "duck" lady from Quaker Factory will be on at 9am ET.

No, no drive in around here as far as I know. We're still on the lookout for a babysitter. We may have to drive to another part of town for that...I remember seeing sitters advertise on Craigslist.

CORRECTION!!!

DW just pointed out there's a drive-in about 30 minutes south of town! They are showing Ghost Rider and Spiderman 3 on one of the screens so we may be able to see a movie (or two)! :woohoo:

And since we'll be in the car, DS can doze off in his carseat when he gets worn out! :yay:

great pictures.. thanks for sharing

My boys love Home Town Buffet/ Old Country Buffet too. must be the teenage all you can eat thing..

A few restaurants and diners have specials: Kids eat free on Tuesday, $4 burgers all day Wednesday etc. A guy at work knows them all and if they aren't interested in making dinner for the night, they'll hit any of those places in a pinch because his DS eats like a horse! :lmao:

All of our tickets have court costs of $102.50 + the graduated speeding fines.

Wow! Looking at the summons, the speeding fine is $50 and the surcharge (court fee I assume) is $10 and the point assessment is 1 point. I assume the fine goes up as the overlimit amount goes up.

THAT IS MARVELOUS!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: AND WHAT A DOLL!!!! Almost makes me want one!

:lmao:

What wonderful news for your friends:) He is a cutie:goodvibes

Yeah, D"Bil" was expecting an older child to be placed (4-9). But they called a couple of days ago and said they may possibly place him with a baby! Sure enough, they show up with a 5-month old!!!

We're overnighting 3 boxes of baby stuff--clothes, bottle bodies, clothes, blankets, clothes, toys etc--to ship to him since Antonio and the social worker arrived with only 2 outfits and 2 bottles. :guilty:

Looks like I'm going to have to get him TWO books as a baby shower gift:

I'll agree with you about the salon on DCL. I made that mistake 1 time! Now I make sure to schedule a visit the afternoon or evening before we leave.:)

One of my favorite colors. Today I am going down to Trade Secrets and pick out some new colors. Not So Bora-Bor
a Pink is one of my favorites, along with Far East Fushia, OPI Red. All time favorite is Cabo San Lilac, but it isn't made anymore.

Good Wednesday Morning Everyone!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Need I say anything more but that DWTS was "HOT" last night!! I can't wait for next weeks show.

Talk to you later!!!!

Karen

I better not tell you Hazel filled up our car today and the cost was $24.02 reg gas @ $2.879 a gallon for full service, we don't pump our own gas here in Jersey.

$2.879:jumping3: We could only wish, I passed the BP yesterday morning it was at $3.199, by 4:00p last night it was at $3.499. .30 in 8hrs., now if that isn't price gouging I don't what is:furious: This is outside of Chicago.

We are very spoiled in the US! We gets complaints when it is $2 or $3. They are still predicting that it will get to $4 national average this summer. I went to $3.39 yesterday afternoon. All 4 of our news channels were at my store today.
Paula, sorry for the dumb question, but are you high or a low price? The station where I work is usually the highest around here and they were 3.05 Sunday. I just filled up at 2.89 last night.

We used to take the kids in their pjs and pack a cooler as we didn't want to wander out of the car and wake them. The bad thing, during the summer with the window down, it was really humid. That was the reason we stopped going.

When DH was going thru his Chemo, we both got called and he was excused with a note from his Dr. I pleaded my case with the first Judge who didn't think it was a valid excuse?I wound up in the courtroom answering questions with the Lawyers. The more they were questioning us the more I really thought I was sunk, but finally the Judge (who I knew by the way from a business dealing) called me up and stated he remembered me saying my DH was ill and excused me. Any other time I would probably like the experience. Especially since it would've gotten me out of work :thumbsup2

Everyone told me to make some ridiculous statement to get excused but I really didn't think I would be able to do that.

TGIF. today is my Friday. My biggest desire is to clean up this house. It is becoming a real clutter pit.Curious to see who gets voted off AI tonight. Now it's a tough call as everyone is so good. Same with DWTS.I pretty much thought that team was going to leave :sad1:

Everyone have a great day :goodvibes

Came home with four scripts for DS...nasal spray, eyedrops, and two ointments for the contact dermatitis he has under his arms ewwww. It seems he may have developed an allergy to anti-perspirant :scared1: :scared1:

If it makes him feel any better, its not that uncommon of an allergy. I can't use any of the "clear" anti-perspirants, only the white powdery type (which kills my shirts.....)
