Hey you two! Keep it down in there! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Eric, my Mailman, brought me a present today. My new Castaway Club Cards. It does not take alot to make me happy! :thumbsup2

We received our new CC cards today, too -- truly not a big deal and yet somehow so cool . . .

Came home from the gym tonight to find...

YES! Our new castaway club cards!:cool1:

:wave2: all!

Wish me :pixiedust: I am on my way to WDW ( from CA) and also traveling solo for the first time in almost ....well since my young, independant days. I am a nervous traveler and hope that all goes well. I'll see if I can DIS away from home. DH is making me travel with laptop, Magellan and all kinds of electronic gadgets - this from the same man that accused me of being a black clouds for all things electronic! :scared1: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK - wish me luck - I fly out at 10:44 - am spending the weekend with Pam/DisneySweetie and other fellow DISsers whom we meet on our Sept cruise - will tell her of all your well wishes.

Wish me luck - I don't do so well sometimes :sad2:

Hopefully, I will talk later!

Laura have a great time:)

Well Its Strep again!!!!!!!!!!!

Biaxin again for 10 days.
Ds not to happy. cant stand the taste of it. ? getting referral to ENT, put me off for now.
He went through a recurring bout of strep 2 years ago and Doc said 1 more and off he goes, has been fine since then. I'm thinking of taking him anyway.
Will be back in Doc office tomorrow with Ryan too. Realized never got his physical done in Sept and now he needs it for Summer Day Camp. Also need his allergy meds re-evaulated, poor kid has been coughing non -stop last 3 days. Needless to say no one is getting any sleep around here.
I called in sick myself (to take care of DS) neither of us really wanted to burn through more vacation days.

Maureen, here's hoping that your household gets healthy quickly!:)

I still have bad headaches but booked to see the Doctor on Monday. I am posting less but thats to get a bit more rest from everythnig, so if you see less of me, dont worry.

It appears to be high blood pressure, but the Doctor, didnt appear to be too concerned, so I am sure it will sort it self out.

In two weeks I have a week off in Majorca so can rest more then.

Andrew, I really hope you get to feeling better. Hopefully BEFORE your vaction so you can enjoy it:)

Okay, so it isn't Majorca, but this is where I'll be in 23 days. (Yikes! I'm not ready!!) It's in Providenciales, Caicos Islands. The Turks and Caicos. Or is that the Cakes and Tacos?? :goodvibes

That Looks Heavenly!!! :thumbsup2

M, it is one of my "me" things. I am addicted to pedicures. I would go once a week if I had the time. But, I honestly can not paint with my left hand. My right hand always looks horrid whenever I have tried!:)

And my hands shake too much for me to do it myself. I only started going a couple of years ago. I decided by then, it was time I got to do something just for me....and I now call the salon my "therapy" place.

Thanks, just came back from my nightly walk and DH tells me our good friend (who also is our tenant) was taken to the ER from his school. He is a teacher and they had a play tonight and he collapsed on stage. DH is heading over to the ER and we are just waiting word. Apparantly his BP was 220/over something else really high.

3 weeks ago I tried getting him to go to no avail. He had come upstairs to use DH bp monitor and it was 190/102. I was on my way to hospital (when my sil gave birth) and wanted him to come. But he had a show that night at school and was saying it was just from nerves. He went to his Doc that weekend and everything was fine.

So send some pixie dust our way.
When it rains it pours!

It's a pretty quiet island. Not a whole lot to do, other than snorkel or dive, eat and lay on the beach. Not many tourists have discovered it yet, so it's still laid-back. And to rent this place was a whole lot cheaper than a cruise.:thumbsup2
Good thing I'm taking my lap top, the nights might be a little too quiet for me!

That looks similar to the villa we had at Round Hill in Jamaica!

Cottage 6 - 7 bedrooms total though the 3 of us only had the two main villa suites. Kitchen, indoor and outdoor living areas, private pool. Big enough to house two families! Anyone see one of the MTV Road Rules/Real World challenges when they were in Jamaica? They were staying in Cottages 5 and 6...both owned by Mr. & Mrs. Bob Pittman...

Indoor living room

Main suite bedroom (adjoins to living roomabove)

Outdoor living/dining area with view of adjoining 2nd master suite
33.jpg

Private pool; outdoor dining/living area is where the "X" rails are, indoor living area is where the open wall to the left of the giant cross

And who are Mr. & Mrs. Pittman that they can own not one but TWO $900,000+ villas? Youngest program directer for NBC's flagship radio station. Got bored. Helped some dufus named Steve Case start some silly computer service called AOL. Got bored. Helped some other dreamers start some 24/7 cable TV station that plays music. Ever hear of "I want my MTV!"? Mr. Pittman invented that slogan. So now when he gets bored, he flies his private jet to Jamaica to get away from it all. I say "flies" as in pilots the plane!

Round Hill was very nice...DW wants to go back to see if she can bust into Ralph Lauren's cottage before security gets there! I mean, how fast can a golf cart go? :teeth:

Awesome! Why couldn't I have been smart enough to be "bored" like that?? Snap.

My dad went to high school with Warren Buffet. They were fairly good friends, too, but never saw each other after H.S. Told my Dad he should have clung to the man's coattails. Double snap.

OK, crazy time for me, so much for King of the DING Cheryl......

I can plan family members flights, cruises, trips, etc...... with no problem, then I go to book a simple flight for myself today with the DING special and mess myself up. Instead of entering PHL to MCO, I entered MCO to PHL. I didn't even catch the blunder. I had a copy of my flight schedule sent to my mom in Florida so she would know when to pick me up at MCO. Luckily, my mom saw the mistake and just called me. It wasn't too bad, I was able to make the switch and it only cost $5.00 more. A good thing happened though, I am now flying out on a Tuesday night instead of Wednesday afternoon, gives me some extra time in Florida before the drive home..............:goodvibes

This is what I get for trying to plan a flight with just 10 minutes left of my lunch hour this afternoon........:lmao:

Tomorrow is TGIF & CHAT :cool1:! Hope to see you there!

Heres' a money saver good for almost everyone can use. Well.... actually you have to be ineterested in going to a participating museum - probably within driving range of your home too. AND... you need to have a B of A or MBNA credit card ... THEN this deal MIGHT be good for you. Because in the month of May holders of BofA or MBA cards can get free admission for themselves plus a guest to any of 95+ museums across the country. The states where this is good appear to be California, Ct., Deleware, Florida, Maine, MA., New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, PA., R.I. and Vermont. Follow this link to see the BofA web page where you can search for the local museums in your area(s) of interest.

It seems in the LA/Orange & Riverside county areas of Southern Cal there are 14 museums participating - and my 1st point of interest is in the KidSpace Childrens' Museum in Pasadena. Plus we're gonna be in SF 2 weekends from now - and we just might hit one of the 6 museums on the list up there too. I was thinking of the California Academy of Sciences or the Asian Art Museum of SF.

Check it out if your state is on the list AND if you have one of the sponsoring cards.

:wave2: everyone!

I landed safe and sound on the East Coast - landed at MCO at 6:35 and was out of the airport by 7:10. Landed in my hotel room, Comfort Inn off 535 on Palm Parkway by 10 to 8. Flight was pretty good - less than 5 hrs. Takeoff was a little rocky - not too bad though - but the landing was great - didn't even tip over my bottle of water on the floor. Got bumpy a few times and when we came below cloud line but all in all - a GREAT flight!

With that said, I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I HAVE DONE IT! :yay: :yay: :yay: For those of you that don't realize it - I talk all the time about taking off by myself but have never done it until now. I actually LOVED it! Repeating myself by I LOVED IT! And I am so proud of myself. The last time I did this was when I was traveling in the Army and moving around - then I had no qualms - traveled on a moments notice.

I checked in with everyone and forewarned them that I am no longer taking phone calls unless its an emergency. My emergency consists of blood, death, or catastrophic events. Not skinned knees, bruised egos, or missing you (well at least until Saturday).

I have been chilling out after having dinner at Shoneys - pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy and fried dinner rolls! YUMMY! And to finish it off - Peach Cobbler! Its extremely hard to find that on my side of the coast. Tomorrow - no major plans - maybe some shopping or laying out by the pool - can't remember the last time I did that - I was supposed to do that on our last cruise and didn't do it.

Called BFF and proposed that she and I start a traditional trip like this. I feel so cool! :cool2: Anyway, hope everyone has a good weekend - mine already started! :thumbsup2 Now on to ketchup!
