I just wanted to tell everyone what happened with the highschool bomb threat yesterday. We made all the news stations. The lockers were checked yesterday. Three children were under arrest. Two were released and on child is still arrested. The one child had blueprints, wires, and various other things for bomb making but no expolsives were found in the locker. It is under investigation. The only thing released the boy was 16 years old. I was too worried about the Beatles in my life and if I had enough money to go to the movies. It is sure a different life now.!!!

Wow! Glad they caught it early! I'm thankful our kids are more aware and can help prevent the evil in their schools. That is the one positive outgrowth of all the publicity for these tragedies. . .

Good morning everyone! I am trying to get motivated to get something done today. My migraine is fading a little...or maybe it hasn't been bothered that much this morning. I know that it is from stress since Monday. I am going to try to tackle the laundry pile and bathrooms this morning then relax a bit with scrapping. Hope that you all have a great day.

Last I heard, scrapping has turned into a contact sport! People (oh c'mon, WOMEN ) fighting over that certain last bit of velvet paper or some unique brass brands... And they say if women were in charge there's be no more wars....

Hazel was in Ulta getting Angelina a new hair straightener a short time ago, while I waited out in the car. Hazel was getting ready to check out and the store stopped everything for a moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives this past Monday at VT. When Hazel came out and told me what had just happened in the store, I got chills and a bit misty-eyed.

I just turned MSNBC on and they are showing the faces of those who lost their lives on Monday, so very sad.

Hazel was in Ulta getting Angelina a new hair straightener a short time ago, while I waited out in the car. Hazel was getting ready to check out and the store stopped everything for a moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives this past Monday at VT. When Hazel came out and told me what had just happened in the store, I got chills and a bit misty-eyed.

I just turned MSNBC on and they are showing the faces of those who lost their lives on Monday, so very sad.

Thanks for sharing, Andy. . . I'm trying not to be sad today. One of my friends sent me an email this morning saying that her daughter (DD10) said that for today, her heart was not red, but maroon . . . I just cried. Today, everyone is a Hokie . . .

I am so maaaad at NBC for airing that wackos video! I think they are just as sick as he was. Are there no morals in the world any more! I don't buy the "public has a right to know" thing. If nothing but out of respect for the families who lost loved ones. It makes me angry that they are playing into that kids plans. Then we wonder where people get their ideas. Sorry for venting, I'm off the soap box now.

DD's teacher sent out an email about what she would tell the kids if one of them brought it up. I haven't watched much news this week so I don't think dd really knows.

Hey! Crafting is for the hearty! No really, some people take things over board.I remember going to some craft store sales when I was younger and middle aged women would lose their senses, and wait for the doors to open to rush to the sales items! Now that I'm older, there really isn't much that makes me want to get up early (like day after Thanksgiving) or other sales. If I get one that's great if not oh well.

I agree.

Really, it makes me sad to think that some unfortunate kid with emotional issues has seen the videos and now has a new "hero". To know that the murderer held the Columbine killers up as martyrs just disturbs me.

In the end, the killer is the one who has ended up with a moment of fame, and those massacred are among the many lost, with very little attention going to those kids for who they were and who they wanted to be as individuals. When I put the TV on, I see the face of the killer on all of the networks. Not one of those killed has been given equal airtime. That is wrong on so many levels.
