Do you get overtime?????? :confused3 You never have a bad attitude. You are like the sunshine on the board.:goodvibes

Good Morning Cheryl, yes, I will get time and a half if I go in today, still haven't decided if I'm going in though. The extra $$ would be nice and could be put towards the TOAL, but these old knees of mine are really hurting after doing all the curb meters I did the past few days.

Even the sunshine is hidden with cloudy days every now and then.....................:rolleyes1

Good Saturday Morning Crew!!!

Phew, this has been one long week topped off by an all day meeting on Friday.

Happy Birthday/Belated Birthday to Greg, Nicholas, Monica, Rahn, Bob, Lauryn, Dylan, Alicia, Peter, Tom and Lynn.

With the weather for Sunday looking down right awful, today is run-around day. I am on a mission to buy a new camera. I've decided on the Canon S3. In now comes down to pulling the Mickey card out of the purse and signing my name. I also need to dig out some shorts/t-s**** for the trip to the World. We're doing the Backstage Magic tour on Thursday. Anyone done it?

OK, time for another cup of coffee and to get moving.

Catch you later! ;)

Hi all. Just spent quite a few hours in the emergency room with DH. It appears he may have suffered a minor stroke. :sad1: They are keeping him over night for observation & plan on running some more tests on him tomorrow. His symptoms were minor & only lasted for a short time, so there is no permanent damage & they feel that this was more of a wake up call to change his lifestyle. The plan is that he will be released & sent home with a regimen of medication. We were suppose to leave first thing Saturday morning for Hilton Head, but now I'm not sure I want him taking that long drive. Guess I will wait to see what happens tomorrow. Doubt I'll sleep much tonight. :guilty:

So sorry tohear this Diane:sad1: Do they think it was an actual stroke, or a TIA, which is like a mini-stroke?

Prayers for you and dh....

Hey - The salon where I go doesn't allow dogs in the shop - against health regulations. The owner is foolish regardless - the sweetest dogs may react agressively for seemingly no reason. Your child sitting down close to the dog might have triggered some pack/territorial reaction. I'm no "dog whisperer" but I've had so many dogs and trained them - and since I have had a lot of German Shepherds I am so cautious as they can do so much damage.
So I'm being long-winded - but I'd say find a new hair cutter!! Speaking as an attorney you might have some legal recourse however - I don't think its worth the effort. Its' more important to reassure your child that dogs are okay - and not to get too close to other dogs.
I would check the local ordinances - perhaps lodge a complaint - even the local humane society. Also, when not upset - speak to the owner and explain why you won't return to her shop.

So - I'll stop going on and on ==-but as a Mom also - I can relate to how upset you must be!

Chris

Chris...this is great advise. My thoughts exactly!

Shannon.....I would definitely look into reporting this, as it could happen to another child. :grouphug: for your little boy.

Again, welcome & thank you for choosing Capt. Jack's Reposession Repositioning thread.

.....And please remain seated until the ride has come to a full and complete stop.....

I'm just about done editing my Hawaii vacation photos & since I'm here by myself, I thought I'd share a few.

I'm going to upload all of them at work tomorrow (free connection & unlimited bandwidth - important since I have HUGE photos...have I mentioned that I love my camera? :) )

ANYWAY... it won't hurt my feelings if you don't trek to photobucket to look at all my photos when I post the link tomorrow, but I have a few smallish versions that I would like to share.

Who surfs without bending their knees?????

M...those are great pics. Your family looks like so much fun!

One of dd's friends has poms....

Her mom is very careful to keep the dogs on a leash and doesn't let the kids just outright pet them when she has them with her at baton practice. (the girls practice outside during the summer)

Actually they're know for flipping out like that....

The girls mom has had poms her whole life and some are friendly while others are not.

This is very true! We have a pom (Sloopy), and he is the friendliest pom I've ever known, but I'm always watchful of him around little kids. We have so many kids in our neighborhood, and they always seem to be hanging out at our house:rolleyes: ....The kids all love to hug, pet and pick Sloopy up. He has always tolerated everything, but I still worry that one day he may not. So, I always tell the kids they should be careful, and never hold him against his will. Any dog, even good ones, could be provoked to attack.

When I see a lot of birds on the trees etc, I flash back to the bird scene in Mel Brooks High Anxiety. That'll get you over it:rotfl2:

Speaking of birds....I have a psycho bird that has been trying to get into my house for the past couple of days. Keeps flying into my living room windows. I have even tried drawing pictures of angry faces and taped them up to the window as a deterant, but nothing is working. I think mapquest gave the wrong directions again.....
