8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 11

Okie Dokey, so the rest of the Devil Juice story is this. It was a 9 pm Chef Mickey Reservation which has to be close to the last ressie and we were seated next to this other family that was seated just ahead of us. During the dinner we (and they) were visited by Chef Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. In fact Mickey and Donald swung by twice. We caught two singing/napkin swinging Celebrate Mickey Mouse songs. We (and they) had the complete Chef Mickey experience. Although maybe mine experience was enhanced by the Devil's Juice, but I digress. At the end of the meal Ms. Devil's Juice called our mutual waiter over and asks to see the Character Coordinator". The waiter returns momentarily with the Character Coordinator. Ms. D'sJ then says "I am dead serious, I need the first and last name of Mickey Mouse" I almost shot my Blue Tini across the table in a spit take! She goes on to say that she didn't get enough interaction with Mickey. Specifically she said "I go to Seaworld to see Shamu, and I come to Chef Mickey's to see Mickey Mouse" The Character Coordinator asked if Ms. D'sJ was happy with the other characters. Ms. D'sJ said "I don't care about these other chumps, I'm here to see Mickey Mouse" Again Blue Tini shot through my nose! The CC offered individual time right away with MM, but Ms. D'sJ said no. That was basically the end of it so I don't really know what the woman wanted.

You know when you enter Chef Mickey's and they take your picture. Well when they delivered the pic to Ms. D'sJ she asked them if they could remove Minnie Mouse from the Pic! She really just wanted Mickey I guess!

Okay so I guess by now you're getting the picture that this was a "dry" family vacation. Well all week we were seeing people order drinks with the light up ice cube in them and our DD really wanted one. So on Thurs. night we went for a late dinner at Chef Mickey's. This was our last opportunity to get a drink with that light up cube so I ordered a Blue Tini (martini). I left home at 3:30 the Friday before, I ran by butt off, I fought crowds, I forgot my blender, I nursed my DS through a Stomach Virus.......I needed a Adult Libation and I needed it bad! Six days into my vacation I finally get to kick back, have a nice dinner and one, count 'em, one drink.........Here it comes, it's blue, it's glowing, it's gorgeous and it's calling my name.......MR, drink me, you deserve it......Now it's glowing and it attracts the attention of all the manic kids around us.......the kids are excited, my DD is excited, I am EXCITED!!!!........The SPT at the table next to us says excitedly to his Mom, "Mom, look at that, what is it????" The Mom says "Son, That's the Devil's Juice, the Devil's Juice, you don't want to know about that"

DEVIL'S JUICE!!! Okay, so now I'm an Alcoholic too!!!! Couldn't enjoy that drink then if my life depended on it!!!

I was not supposed to drink on this vacation. End of Story.

People are outrageous though aren't they???

I was tempted to accidently on purpose dump that Devil Juice in the Righteous Woman's lap........WHOOPS!!!

Too hilariously funny.


(Of course, I'm now making a note that they serve booze at Chef Mickey. Wow. Who knew?)

In general, I think people are in one of two groups when at WDW...either they think it's "The Happiest Place on Earth" or "The Cr--piest Place on Earth." It sounds like she is in the number 2 mindset.

Judy I too would rather they swim in the lake........they are very cute though.....especially the ducklings!! They are just round little balls of fluff. Now tell me since you are a Floridian now........aren't the ducks bothered by the heavy chlorine levels in the pools???

I have a question for you! When you stay at BW, Beach Club or any of those Epcot area resorts, how do you get into Future World in the morning? Is the World Showcase entrance open, or does that only open at 11ish? Not that I'm planning to go there any time soon, but I just really need to know.

I'd like to 'second' this thought...

.... it would indeed be a wonderful thing to have this be the case. And frankly, I can see it now... at 1AM there will be dozens of sleepy eyed DIS folk wandering the passage ways distributing fish hanging goodies... everywhere we look on the ship we'll see wandering patches of lime green clad folk... and on every deck as we come and go about we'll hear chuckles the faint sound of blenders runnin' behind closed doors every few paces! Yeah... cries of "TAKE WHAT YA CAN!!!" followed by the retort "GIVE NUTTIN' BACK!!!" will echo throughout the 2+ plus weeks on the ship plus pre and post cruise in LA and PC! It's gonna be a TOAL like no other.... I'm sure!

There is a back entrance to Epcot between UK and France. You get to enter there and walk thru World Showcase to the part that is open..

Really--like the International Gateway/bridge area? It's open in the early morning?

Enna I didn't do it this time because I went to Epcot in VIP style with Mark & Laura, but last time, we were able to enter through World Showcase and walk to Future World. You can walk around WS too I believe, but nothing is open.

The Contemporary is one of our very fav. resorts and when we went to Chef Mickey's we got to see that the whole North Wing has been flattened. I really hope it's to build a DVC there!!

Maybe we need to meet at Chef Mickeys and have the light up cubes enmass.. or maube just bring them aboard the MAgic for an ice cube review and a toast to DEVIL Lady or was it Curella DE Ville?

Anyway a Trooper pulled in front of us and motioned for us to pull over and he pulled over the guy in front of him too. At first we didn't think he meant us, we were travelling at 75 mph just 5 mph above the speed limit. But we decided we better pull over anyway. ... and told us if we didn't pull over when he motioned, it would have been a $2500 fine in addition to the moving violation!!!

A few weeks after DW and DF/SIL went out for cookie-making ingredients and came back with a brand new VW Passat GLX 4Motion we were all tooling up a 2-lane divided highway in slower Delaware. DW notices a State Trooper standing in the center median and he was waiving...more like flailing his arms around. DW wonders if he's pulling her over? So as she slows down and pulls to the right shoulder, a truck BLOWS PAST US at about 60mph!! In fact, the truck was going so fast the wind from his wake nearly knocked the trooper off his feet!

Yep! The trooper cited DW for speeding! Something like 8mph over the limit. But the fact that she was pulled over by a cop on foot. Is the part she finds most annoying! Especially since I've been pulled over MANY times and (knock on wood) got warnings every time....once I was going to get a ticket but gee, it seems someone decided to have a multicar pile-up and the AzHP had to take off

Everyone at work wonders why DW even bothered to pull over!!?! They ALL said they would have just waived to the cop and kept on driving!

It's been a L-O-N-G two days in the car, especially the first few hours today with a "ST" that had an attitude and it needed adjusting before we even got on the road this morning.................

YEP the Intermational Gateway is open as soon as Epcot is open.. I don't thinkthere is a bus to Epcot from any of the Epcot area resorts.. you walk or take the boat..
