8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 11

MR regarding your Devils Juice,there are so many things we think of after the fact that we would really wanted to say.Imagine the stories the CMs have at the end of the day

A few weeks after DW and DF/SIL went out for cookie-making ingredients and came back with a brand new VW Passat GLX 4Motion we were all tooling up a 2-lane divided highway in slower Delaware. DW notices a State Trooper standing in the center median and he was waiving...more like flailing his arms around. DW wonders if he's pulling her over? So as she slows down and pulls to the right shoulder, a truck BLOWS PAST US at about 60mph!! In fact, the truck was going so fast the wind from his wake nearly knocked the trooper off his feet!

Yep! The trooper cited DW for speeding! Something like 8mph over the limit. But the fact that she was pulled over by a cop on foot. Is the part she finds most annoying! Especially since I've been pulled over MANY times and (knock on wood) got warnings every time....once I was going to get a ticket but gee, it seems someone decided to have a multicar pile-up and the AzHP had to take off

Everyone at work wonders why DW even bothered to pull over!!?! They ALL said they would have just waived to the cop and kept on driving!

We thought that too, hey just keep driving. But then we thought he could radio ahead to one of his Trooper buddies and then we might go to jail. You hear all the horror stories along the I-95 corridor. Most are probably Urban Legends, but we aren't ones to test the theories!

We were at WM today and saw that! Looks like that NO-AD brand has the license fo Disney stuff? Their kids sunscreen had Nemo on it. Nemo aside, I think we'll stick with the Aveeno Baby or Mustella sunscreen.

Now all we need to do is convince DF/SIL that sunscreen does indeed expire and she needs to buy a NEW bottle for the cruise next year!

Most of the bottles of sunscreen have expiration dates on the bottom.

Judy I too would rather they swim in the lake........they are very cute though.....especially the ducklings!! They are just round little balls of fluff. Now tell me since you are a Floridian now........aren't the ducks bothered by the heavy chlorine levels in the pools???

They like the effects it has on maintaining their webbing free from molds. They also enjoy the bleached feathers ontheir butts without having to go to the beautician. It generally saves them alot of money.

Both SWMBO and I will be 'celebrating' being 40 on the TOAL as she is slightly older than I, a fact I do not let her forget. One of the reasons we are doing this trip, as a matter of fact.

You need to be careful. Forgetting the blender, not drinking the alcohol you brought -- you are going to blow your image.

DSIL celebrates her 33rd birthday the last day of our cruise! One reason we're going on the TOAL. That and well, we're STILL looking for a single 30ish +/- 10 years guy for her

Hi All--arrived home safe and sound about 20 minutes ago and I will be heading to bed early tonight. It's been a L-O-N-G two days in the car, especially the first few hours today with a "ST" that had an attitude and it needed adjusting before we even got on the road this morning.................

VM: "If you don't behave I'll turn this car around!"

ST: "Sure dad! Let's head back to WDW!!!"

Okie Dokey, so the rest of the Devil Juice story is this. ..... At the end of the meal Ms. Devil's Juice called our mutual waiter over and asks to see the Character Coordinator". The waiter returns momentarily with the Character Coordinator. Ms. D'sJ then says "I am dead serious, I need the first and last name of Mickey Mouse" I almost shot my Blue Tini across the table in a spit take! She goes on to say that she didn't get enough interaction with Mickey. Specifically she said "I go to Seaworld to see Shamu, and I come to Chef Mickey's to see Mickey Mouse" The Character Coordinator asked if Ms. D'sJ was happy with the other characters. Ms. D'sJ said "I don't care about these other chumps, I'm here to see Mickey Mouse" Again Blue Tini shot through my nose! The CC offered individual time right away with MM, but Ms. D'sJ said no. That was basically the end of it so I don't really know what the woman wanted.

You know when you enter Chef Mickey's and they take your picture. Well when they delivered the pic to Ms. D'sJ she asked them if they could remove Minnie Mouse from the Pic! She really just wanted Mickey I guess!

Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth!!

This type of person can be so much a pain and ruin the experience for everyone, including their own children. I see them all of the time at WDW.

We do have to be careful though because one person's freak could be one of us DISGeeks! Let's make sure we define freak to exclude any of us!

As I have read, there is a WalMart next to the dock in Puerto Vallarta, I imagine we would be aquiring new ones if you did.

DW and I have been to that Wal-Mart!!!!

Gotta tell you, it's disturbing to see some of the exact same crap as in the US except most of the wording is in Spanish and even more disturbing to see some old trusted consumer favorites (Tide, Lysol etc) in the same packaging but called something totally different!

Don't forget the currency there is the Mexico Peso and the exchange rate as of today is

1 MXN = 0.0910415 USD
1 USD = 10.9840 MXN ​

Unlike the Bahamas, Jamaica etc. many of the retail stores in PV don't use US currency! You've heard about the term "Ugly American" for clueless, arrogant American travelers? Well we saw the perfect example in PV. We were at a hole in the wall restaurant (so refreshing to have authentic Mexican food

) and this US family comes in to eat. When they were done they were SHOCKED to learn that no, the restaurant doesn't take US dollars and no, they don't take credit cards either! You shoulda heard them yammering about how US money is worth so much more yada yada yada

I think the dad ran a few doors down to use an ATM for cash.

You know what one of my favorite things about WDW is??

The freakin' Ducks!!!

I'll post a pic when I get more organized, but in Stormalong Bay there was a Mother Duck with seven ducklings. I LOVE the ducklings most of all! So cutesy! I wish they stayed in the lake instead of the pools though. But there they were, all eight of them, swimming in an Extemely crowded Stormalong Bay, unphased by all the people.

Gotta love the Ducks!

My worst experience at WDW deals with a mother duck with her little ones. At CBR on the lake a mother with her babies were swimming when a pelican swooped in and ate a couple of them!

A car flew by us doing about 80mph or 85mph in VA this morning, about 10 minutes later we saw a VA State Trooper had him pulled over at exit 11A, I'm sure he was getting MORE than a warning.

That's the MINUMUM speed that people drive heading up I-25 to Denver!
