Just wanted to share!

Chrissie
Congratulations Chrissie! That is awesome:woohoo: :woohoo:

Way to go Chrissie! It is all about the long run and not about the sprint. I have lost 53 pounds since 12/05. It is not easy but about major changes in lifestyle. I still go over to the "Darkside" as my kids call it when we are on vacations but I know that it is back to good eating when we get home. Keep up the great work.

53 pounds is great Roger!:cheer2: :cheer2:

TODD pirate:

Congrats on the 50,000:thumbsup2

Paula looks like you were hanging out by yourself tonight. Glad to see you all caught up though.

Good evening everyone :wave2:

Caught up on 3 days worth.
Wow... just had a flashback to my first day of Kindergarten. All I can remember is standing in the driveway so my mom could take my picture with my Strawberry Shortcake lunchbox. :goodvibes

I loved Strawberry Shortcake!!! My Mom made me a bedspread, curtains and pillows for my room when I was 6 or 7.

I promise I won't be such a downer all the time....

I decided this morning that I am flying to RI for the funeral of the Coastie who died. I need to be there. It's only money. A lot of it, but it's only money.

I spoke to DH "Steve" for the first time this morning since it happened. I've had several conversations with "LCDR Sk8ingdad", the officer, not the man, during the last few days, but today is the first time I've talked to the man.
I need to go to be there with him. He is working so hard to make sure everything and everyone else is taken care of. He is responsible for the well-being of 76 people and one of them is not coming home. Non-military won't get this, but in a way, I represent all of the wives. I've never been one of those wives who try to wear my husband's rank on my own sleeve, I actually avoid it at all costs because it drives me nuts, but this time I need to be there for all the people who can't.

And oh yeah, I having a hour-long press event Tuesday morning with all our local mayors, state legislators and one of AK's senators...no stress at work. It's a great time to take a day or 2 off.

What are they going to do, fire me?

Thanks for listening (reading).

:grouphug: and pixiedust: to you and you family.

Happy Birthday Pete, Sammy & Todd!!!

:bday: party: Hope you had a great day!!!

Happy Birthday Patricia :cake:

Safe travels to those of you leaving over the weekend. Have a great time. Take planty of pictures!!!!

I head down in 3 weeks. Needless to say, I cannot wait. Anyone else heading down around April 18th? I'll be at SSR.

OK I need to get cracking!

OK, I'm getting pumped here.............:lmao:

Hazel dropped me off at work, then took the car to Jiffy Lube to get the car serviced.

One of Hazel's sisters is going to be taking care of Stefani for us, so no boarding will be needed afterall!!!

Lina still needs to get her clothes together and in the suitcase after she gets home from school today.

I just have to make it through this day of work................;)

Good Morning everyone! TGIF!:cool1:

To those of you who are bouncing off the walls waiting to get on the road to your vacations, it will soon be time!

Now to ketchup.

Greetings from Minneapolis:sad2:

We sat on the runway in Anchorage for an hour last night, so I missed my connections (yes plural). I'm bouncing to RI. Anchorage, Minneapolis, Detroit, Providence. Now I won't hit RI until 3:25. The wake starts at 4.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I CAN'T FIND THE CINNABON!

So if anyone wantneeds a neck pillow, a Paul Bunyan postcard, Golden Gopher grear, a MN lotto ticket or an iPod from a vending machine, just let me know sometime in the next few hours - K?

That is true!!! Rise up & join forces!! We have a DISirable DISease which others try to DIStroy. They just don't understand that the DIS is our DIStiny. :hippie:

:lmao:
Cue Obi Wan Kenobi...Lisa, use the DIS, feel it. It is your DIStiny.

Observations from an airport:

When did Faux News Channel get its own store?

I walked by really fast out of fear my head would explode.

Or that I might be trampled by elephants.

Hey all... just missed the pirate run I see. :thumbsup2 Good. (Congrats to the winner!)

Now I need some serious thinkin' help here. I just got an intriguing e-mail.... it's part of the pirate: POTC event pirate: at WDW that I'm doing in May. They want answers to these questions, with no explanation as to why they're asking. :confused3 I want to make my answers stand out, to be creative, to make those reading them laugh and marvel at my whit.

I know that Crash usually does the "Answer Me This" type of thing, but I'm hoping some of your answer will light a spark in my imagination. (My brain is so dead right now, it really needs a spark!) Either that, or I'll just pirate your answer and use them as my own. So, be creative and answer these 9 questions...

Favorite Ocean: Atlantic
Favorite Pet – kind and name: Dog her name was Bozo. Hey I was 3 when we got her!:rotfl:
Favorite Vacation Spot: WDW anymore, 2nd is Shenandoah NP

Pirate

For us, it is about 20 driving hours. We do stop about every 2 to 3 hours, if nothing more just to get out of the car and stretch for about 10 or 15 minutes. These bodies aren't as young as they used to be................

Neither is my bladder!:lmao:

The first one for the ankle swelling. When I woke up today not only was my right ankle swollen but so was my right eye! Dr. is not too alarmed but needs to find out why I'm retaining fluid like this. The three big things to rule out are: Kidney problems, Congestive Heart Failure, and some Leg Vein problem. She took blood today, told me to go to Fl., watch my salt intake, drink a lot of water and we'll go further when I get back.

Get well soon MR! Did the Dr/ perscribe blender drinks?

Thanks guys!! :grouphug: Let me tell you when Dr. said Heart Failure....I almost HAD Heart Failure!

Didn't you know...that's the new medically advanced non-invasive test for Congestive Heart Failure.

Step 1 - Tell patient he/she has heart failure
Step 2 - Wait for reaction

If patient keels over, they have tested positive for heart failure. If not, the test is negative.
