Crash will be so proud of me...................I really have been on the fence about the fish extender thing and was worried about the kids fighting over everything AND what to get to give to others and how to get 100 somethings in our overpacked luggage without breaking the weight limit.:(

Well.............the answer sort of fell into my lap the other day::yes:: . DH and I came up with a great idea - something every adult will appreciate at some point on our cruise :cool1: so we now have 108 fish extender gifts! They won't take up much space nor do they weight much so we are good there. I think I will use the advice of some others on this board and claim everything is MINE unless I deem otherwise to avoid the bickering.

I already sent bellenius a PM to sign up. Two questions though, should I label my gifts somehow so everyone knows where it came from - is that required? Also, can someone direct me to the FE link that shows how to make one? I am pretty handy in the sewing dept so I would like to make our own.
THANKS!!!:lovestruc

I expect you'll have a nice time with this....

... if not, then all your Mickey Bars while embarked are on ME!

:cool1:

Oh yeah.....my 250 FE gifts arrived today. DD was extatic, she can't wait to help hand them out :rotfl: little does she know how much walking will be involved.

It took me 2.5 evenings walking long after midnite to pass all my stuff out...

however I only walked an hour or so each nite...

Security followed me like a hawk! They must have had me "figured out"

My DD's teacher was giving her math homework right up until the last day:headache:
She wanted them ahead for next year, as if they would retain it over the summer.
Sooooo glad she is done with this teacher:cool1:

My son had that same type of teacher this year too. Homework from day 1 and a reading test the last day of school. Of course they did not really have the test but she kept them in the school day frame of mind. And my son was so worried if he did not pass the last test of the year he would fail. He still came home with his report card and said he was repeating 3rd grade. Come to find out that since she did not put a personal note about good luck in 4th grade like another teacher did - he was sure he failed. - Lowest grade all year 1 C.

I haven't started packing yet but something along the following lines (note we have 12 nights at SSR following the cruise and numbers of items subject to change/space available)
- toiletries and basic first aid kid (I have this made up permanently seeing I travel a lot for work)
- sunscreen
- insect repellant
- swimwear
- goggles/snorkle
- t-shirt for swimming (a tight fitting one is best and saves the sunscreen)
- underwear x 5
- socks x 5
- shoes/sneakers (take one, wear one pair)
- flip flops or sandals
- pasmina/sarong
- books x 2
- ipod & speakers
- international travel power adapter
- travel pillow
- passport/tickets/insurance/credit card/cash and various booked items paperwork such as shore excursions/drivers license and photocopies of these in both checked in and carry on luggage
- nice skirt for DCL dinners
- nice pants for DCL dinners
- nice tops x2 for DCL dinners
- nice shoes for DCL dinners
- 2 pairs 3/4 pants
- 1 pair shorts
- 1 pair of long pants (to travel in)
- 2 x long sleeve tops (1 to travel in)
- 4 x tshirts
- 2 sets of nightwear
- 3 x bras (1 to travel in)
- sun hat
- sun glasses
- rain poncho
- snacks for the flight
- camera and charger
- underwater camera
- tissues/hankies

Edited to add ...
- a pile of FE gifts :)

There are probably a handful of other odds and ends but that will be the bulk of it. Hope that helps. I'm happy to post my complete & final packing list nearer the time :)

Thanks!!!!

I will be waiting for theat DING today too...

Good mornin' Tom (& TOAL neighbors)...

It's nice here on the East Coast!

yesterday I borrowed my BILs' 96' Explorer and it blew a cooling exchange valve. So- fortunately we were close to his home and I swapped it out myself! An easy job but - good thing it happened yesterday as our DIS mini-meet here in Boston was moved from yesterday to today!

Hope all is going well for you and eveyone else!

The valve had 4 tubes plus a vacume line - easy as pie to swap once I had the part and it was cool enuf to work on!
It was a little tight at times and the tubes wer sort of OLD - but it went well and I saved my BIL from sufferring an emergency repair and probable mechanic bill on minor stature.

We're out here on the right coast too, but a little further south - Litchfield Beach, SC. Yesterday my uncle brought out his new toy for us to play with:

And so that you'll recognize her on the TOAL, here's a pic of Susan (DW) in her element:

Well, we'll know her for sure now, we will just have to look at everybody's big toe! :)

Great pix, I bet you are having a blast!

Arlene,

It's the key to Davy Jones chest.

Rich thought it was a key. Very ingenious. I am 75% done with mine. I had forgotten how many movies I can catch up with when sitting at the sewing machine.:goodvibes

So yesterday we sat at our own desks. The fumes from the new carpeting and the fresh paint was a bit much. After a few hours my head felt like it was going to explode. And the back of my throat was very dry. So I wonder how many brain cells we all lost and how much carcinogens we all inhaled. One of the girls is pregnant and we wanted her to go sit on the 3rd floor where the air is a bit cleaner.Wonder what OSHA would say? Hopefully today will be better.

any of your Professional Disney Cruisers have packing lists to share..

I could have sworn I bookmarked some or that I had seen a few of you post yours on the ZONE... but I only see the one PDF file

I went to my Walgreens and got 1 bottle of Nutragena 70 spf - I was charged the real price of 9.99 but did get the freebie...
Sure wish my dollar store would have had the product M's had. The have had nothing....

I wish I could shop the sales like everyone else. The nearest dollar store, mall, walmart, walgreens, etc etc is all 45 minutes away from home. The gas prices make shopping around not worth it!

I've been in-line skating in the morning. This is my first full summer in Denver and I'm still trying to get used to this weather our here. I haven't missed a day in over two weeks and I'm trying to make everyday count before the cruise. When I leave the house around 5:45 a.m., I have to wear long pants and a sweatshirt with a hood and I still freeze, especially going into the wind. On the weekends I wait until later in the morning and can get by with a shorts and a t-shirt, but before the sun is up all the way, it's just too cold for summer IMO (around 50 degrees).

I totally agree. Though today was better. I left at 6am and was good in shorts and my fingerless gloves and my long sleeved jersey. Though our house hasn't gotten below 80 now so the cool morning air felt good! I biked 3 miles in 20 minutes today and didn't feel quite so much like I was gonna die :) We hiked an easy 6mi on Sunday for Father's day. I'm gonna try to bike or hike every day too :)

For those flying Southwest.

Received a ding tonight saying that SW is celebrating 37 years of flying and to watch for limited time offers this Wednesday. Although you won't get a refund, if the price of your tickets go down on Wednesday, you could rebook and get a credit that can be used for a future trip booked in the next 12 months. We've already done this once and received a $99 credit. I'm hoping there's a special on MCO to DEN flights that we can take advantage of to get another credit.

I got that Ding too. I also finally got a Ding that was good for our flight to LAX, but they were all Unavailable. Why are they sending me a Ding if they're unavailable??

OK...

Here's my latest bit of mischief to have arrived via FedEX (before I left fer Boston...

And unfortunately - it arrived with a fractured ankle and foot (see below).

However, I filed a claim for shipping damage and they are remaking a new one ...
AND I'm keeping the iold one! Perhaps I can super glue this "damaged" one and end up with 2 for the price of 1!

So....

.... these images just came in via email from the sculpters in China where they are making up a new replacement Bobblehead doll. Check out the "proof" specimens! Pretty cool, eh?
