Speaking of books...1 more day until the Janet Evanovich book comes out!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to try so hard to keep it for the flight on Saturday but not sure if I will make it or not.
Just thought of something funny. I was just telling the family come hell or high water I was going on "Universe of Energy" on this trip. The 1st time I ever went to WDW I decided to stay outside and read a book while my mom went in. I cannot even remember the book but I just could not put it down.
Better get JE book read by the 25th since that is EPCOT day.

Enjoy your trip this week...we're so jealous! This will be the first time since 1998 that we haven't been to WDW and the parks (not that I'm complaining!). We do plan to visit Downtown Disney on September 1st before we head to the airport just to keep our streak of visiting WDW each year alive!

I used to buy the hardbacks, but now try to be patient for the paperbacks. I just wish there was a new John Lescroat, Lee Child or David Baldacci book in paperback before August. I'll either have to pick up a hardback or find a new author before the cruise to lighten the load.

I started riding last week... Did Thursday and thought I was gonna die before I got to the stop sign 2 houses over :lmao: Kept going though... Day 2, I went twice as far. It was soooooo cold (I went out at 6am because I have to be back before DD (18mo) wakes). I had on long legs, long sleeves, jacket, ear warmers! Then nothing Saturday and yesterday DH wanted to hike for Father's day so we went on a 6 mile hike. Slept in today so I'll go tomorrow! REALLY trying to set a huge goal to achieve by the end of the summer.

I've been in-line skating in the morning. This is my first full summer in Denver and I'm still trying to get used to this weather our here. I haven't missed a day in over two weeks and I'm trying to make everyday count before the cruise. When I leave the house around 5:45 a.m., I have to wear long pants and a sweatshirt with a hood and I still freeze, especially going into the wind. On the weekends I wait until later in the morning and can get by with a shorts and a t-shirt, but before the sun is up all the way, it's just too cold for summer IMO (around 50 degrees).

That's so sweet!

Kevin and I were married 29 years ago today. But we'll be doing our real celebrating while we're on the ship in Aug.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

I will be home tomorrow since out plasma tv decided to loose its picture on Sunday... the dumb add service company cannot give me a time frame until 9 am tomorrow - I questioned thier " conveinent service times" as described while on hold. It is really hard to go from the 42' HD to a 19" fishbowl!!!!

Good luck with your plasma. My MIL's went out during the Thanksgiving morning parade with a loud pop. Let's just say after nearly four months of in-home visits and then having the "service" men take it to the shop, she did receive a full refund from Sam's Club. This was only after my DW literally marched in there and demanded to speak to the manager to let them know that her mother had purchased the extended warranty for a reason and four months without a :happytv: wasn't acceptable. She was able to get her Mom a full refund of both the cost of the TV and warranty cost!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

For those flying Southwest.

Received a ding tonight saying that SW is celebrating 37 years of flying and to watch for limited time offers this Wednesday. Although you won't get a refund, if the price of your tickets go down on Wednesday, you could rebook and get a credit that can be used for a future trip booked in the next 12 months. We've already done this once and received a $99 credit. I'm hoping there's a special on MCO to DEN flights that we can take advantage of to get another credit.

Hi Laurie,
The treadmill - I walked - my knees can't take running!! The weights - its a circuit - so you can do them every day. (Or you could concentrate the sets and do upper one day and lower the next)
Also, Monica & I regularly walked around deck after dinner.

I really enjoyed the treadmill w/my iPod and looking out at the ocean!! I thought about getting some audio books to listen to this time.
i've never used the treadmills onboard...are they free to use? is there a weight room that is able to be used? i used the steps alot on our last cruise, but i'd love to use a treadmill too.

I used to love the audio books for long car drives, but with my hearing going I miss too much now.

I still love to listen to music and if I read the lyrics ahead of time I can sorta hear the words.

Greetings from our hotel in Utah!

Today was just a travel day....drove thru Las Vegas (wanted to stay..but alas..no chance!) tomorrow we head out to Idaho.

I played ketchup....so far..I don't think I have missed anything.

Weather so far is hot! but expect rain starting Wednesday. Hope everyone had a good Monday!

Yes, they're free. Just walk through the spa to the gym and there are treadmills, elipticals, weights and nautilus equipment to use. I did this on the first cruise watching the ocean while on the treadmill, but I now enjoy Deck 4 more.

Is anyone interested in a NYC / NJ mini meet sometime before our cruise?

Great :thumbsup2

What would be a good location for everyone. I know we have some people in NYC and some in South Jersey - I am in Central NJ and only about 30 miles away from NYC if everyone wants to meet in Manhattan

Great idea, Jo . . . of course Manhattan is easy for me! The only thing I will throw out there is that we will be away July 5-19, but of course if it works out to be during that time we will see you on the ship . . . just keep me posted.
