Very very elegant and pretty..I love the so called train...what dinner do you have so I will know its you if I see you..

OMG gloves and tiara.. I better go back to ebay...

We're on Early(Captain's) Dining. This is the picture from the Ebay site,I don't have it yet. As I'm only 5'3" tall and about the same width around,:( there will have to be quite a bit altered.

I haven't looked for SPF clothing before. But what would be the difference between these posted and any other shirt? I'd still have to put sunscreen on my arms? I guess I pictured SPF shirts as mock turtlenecks and long sleeves. Guess I should research it more.

That's what I thought too Monica! Now,if they had something with a Bug Repellent built in, you'd be talkin! ::yes::

Here are the shirts for SPF 30 at REI http://www.rei.com/product/761556

So far I've found two dresses that I really like.

Prom season is just getting started here so I'm not expecting find any good prices on dresses until next month.

I love the top of the second dress, but think the skirt might be a bit much. I like the top of the first one, but the skirt is boring.:confused3

What do you think?

For all you ladies who plan on wearing tiaras for one of the nights... Do you know which night it will be yet? My husband doesn't believe there will be a princess night I don't think, but I want an excuse to wear a tiara!! I found a beautiful gown at Nordstroms too! :)

We are planning our own princess night. There will probably be a dinner menu that is Prince and Princess, but that will most likely be on semi formal night. Our poll has the 2nd formal night leading. I've got almost 30 ladies signed up so far.

I just heard from DCL that they will not be having When Mickey Dreams on our cruise.

That's too bad. I really liked that show.

My DH didn't believe that the wenches would be wearing tiaras either. I ordered one from ebay and when it came he goes "Where are you wearing that ?" I told him on the cruise and that others were also. He insists that they are all "yanking my chain" and that noone will be wearing it but me:headache:

The night we will be wearing them has not been determined yet (as Mike posted) so make sure you vote:thumbsup2

I may just wear mine on embarkation day. But then he'll just think I'm some wacky woman in a tiara.

I really like the 2nd one. In my opinion, not too much at all. In fact one of my formal dresses is sparkly tulle on the bottom.

Hi everyone ... I was just wondering if there was any news/updates on the Scrapbooking Swap?? I was wondering what was involved and whether it was a go or not? Thanks.

By the way .. Hope every one had a great weekend!

OK, when does the weekend start?? Busy busy busy.

M, you can't use your WDW AP's at DL. You can only use days from WDW Magic Your Way tickets. If there are parkhoppers you get that at DL--if not only single park admissions.

Our flight home after the cruise isn't until about 7 pm, so we're heading to MK for a few hours, thus the need for our WDW APs.

Needless to say... it is MANDATORY that everyone wear tropical garb - preferably Disney inspired tropical wear otherwise one risks being served rocks and dusty sand during the party....

But will the rocks turn into those hermit crab thingies??

M -- find a REAL drama class for him. Taught by someone with a degree in Theater or with lots of theater experience. It can make such a difference!

His camp last year was taught by a real theater guy and DS loved it, but didn't want to sign up again. Trust me, we both tried to convince him. I don't know what his deal is. I think it may be that girls out numbered boys about 10-1. Maybe he has some messed up idea that it is girly? Who knows. The DH of one of my co-workers just earned his PhD in theater - he mainly does combat choreography, so I'm going to try to get DS with him for a while.

That reminds me, last weekend I got one of those extendy folder thingys. It opens and has several slots for papers etc. It has 13 slots so I have labeled them things such as Transportation to LA, transfers, onboard info, Disney World etc. So my WDW APs are already in the WDW section. I also have a section for each port where I have printed out the helpful hints etc.

It is very nice to keep me organized and I can put important things in it and know that they are safe!

And, yes, I started a spreadsheep too with all my clothes etc. :)

Good idea on the folder thingy. I have a binder, but the passports, APs, etc. are in the safe until we are close to leaving.

When I was that age I got grounded from the library for a week......... I was 15min late for dinner because I lost track of time at the library..... It was a block from our house. :goodvibes

My 5th grade teacher actually took books away from me! I was not allowed to have a leisure reading book in my desk, because I would rush through my school work so I could get back to my book!

I'm always reading at least 2 books and a magazine.

We probably have the same outfits! Are they the blue "Mickey Postcard" print?

I have that one as well.

I've got the black and white mickey tropical print skirt from a few years back. Hoping that's out of date enough not to run into too many! Altough, it would make a fun picture to have all the people in the matching shirts/dresses together!

Yup, I have that skirt too, but I don't think I'm bringing it.

Wow, everyone is in such planning mode. I can't seem to get there totally, since life is taking up a big portion of my time. We have our oldest DS's wedding this saturday. DH and I found out we are going to be grandparents. Hooray!! Now I can start taking grandkids on cruises. My brother is getting married the following saturday. We also volunteer for boyscout fundraisers alot during the summer months. I can not wait until this cruise.
I did order the t-*****s and some totes. I need to do alot more though.

Welcome to all newcomers. Happy Birthday's to all I've missed.

WOW! Congratulations...many times over!

This one?

Andy

Yup. Got the sundress.

I told Katherine that from the very beginning that she should not volunteer to help with any *man chores* because she is a GIRL. And if she helps once then her dh will expect her to always help.

I can fix a leaky faucet, install a toilet, change a tire and the oil in my car, install a ceiling fan, re-wire my dryer, install laminate flooring, drywall...but I have never, in my entire life, ever, cut the grass!

I told Kevin "We'd look like part of the entertainment!":rotfl:

That's OK, on formal night, DH will look like the waitstaff.

Brendan and I bought booney hats made by columbia...they are light weight and are actually comfortable!

We are going to take them to WDW in a few days for a test run...

Chrissie

LOVE my Columbia boonie hat!
Hey Chrissie - we can wear them with our Mickey dresses!

I just heard from DCL that they will not be having When Mickey Dreams on our cruise.

Well that's a bummer.

I have been looking at it for several weeks and my credit card was empty:thumbsup2

Like serving dishes and wine glasses, credit cards should never be empty.

(Disclaimer: OK, I'm a PIF 2x a month kind girl, but that also means there is always room on my card if I ever want to jet off to Paris or something. I also always have a bottle of champaign in my fridge, in case we have something to celebrate.)

Of course you can wear it both nights! It's a Disney cruise -- wear a tiara every night if you want . . .:thumbsup2

I may just wear mine to the pool...depends on how many tastings we have scheduled for one day.

My DH will look like the waitstaff as well. He will have a black tux jacket for one formal night, and a white tux jacket for the other. He will also be sporting a suit for SemiFormal/Palo's

I have a tiara but I can't wear it until I get married...

And just why couldn't you wear those shoes and tiara again....?

I am a great believer in having that "something old" and think of the memories you'd have from the cruise accompany you on your wedding day....

tiara would look differently with the veil anyway..... (The shorter part of my own wedding veil was recycled as my dd's communion veil but she picked her own crown out)

Think of it as an effort to go green....

Here's the brown dress I just won on EBay
BrownGown.jpg

I'll need to have it altered, but I couldn't pass up the price.

Did you abandone the black/white one then?:confused3

I haven't seen the same Mickey dress I plan to wear yet. It's blue with Mickey and flowers in little clumps throughout the material.

Like this one....

I have that one too and made my dh a tie to match...

I didn't really care for how it looks in photos though...

See my whole take on sph clothes would be...wouldn't they just get you trash-man tan even faster? YUCK

I love that second dress.... I'd be more worried about the room it would take up in luggage. (i'm desperately trying to avoid needing a garment bag.)

...but I have never, in my entire life, ever, cut the grass!

see now i draw the line at taking out the trash.... But DH has always said if i want the yard i have to be willing to mow the lawn... We share that duty usually. But i shape the trees and hedges cause he's well not landscapey...

I too feel that way about the boys and girls reading. My DD19 could care less about reading.. but my DS 15 reads all the time. I also, have reading material with me at all times. when I pick them up from school functions and of cousre they are always on time to come out to the car..
I will read a book or magazine.

Everyone here loves to read except DH. Right now DD is reading Twighlight by Stephenie Meyer. It's about vampires & is apparently very popular among the teen set right now. :confused3

speaking of scrapping... Michaels has 50% off one item this week coupons (green ones in stores)

I found a cool Pirate scrapbook kit with 8 pages and stickers (reg 7.99 but better at 1/2 off) i want to get two of them at least...
